Nature Day 2025

On April 13th, I found a lost mitten on the beach (near the western ramp). I later returned it to its owner, Jeremiah. He said he could even smell the french fries he ate the last time he wore it!

Jeremiah: Mm hmm! This is my mitten, all right! I can smell the french fries I ate last time I wore it!

Okay, but how do you eat french fries with mittens on?! Anyway, he rewarded me with a security tee.

Two days later, Aurora asked me for a new catchphrase. I told her to say “not much,” and she said she was going to use it all the time…not much. 😉

Aurora: I'm going to use it all the time. Not much, not much!
Two truths and a lie.

She also asked what she could do for me…not much? 😆

Aurora: Hi, old dog! What can I do for you, not much?

On Friday, Gulliver was down on the beach. He was talking about samurai and ninjas, so I knew he was headed to Japan.

Gulliver: I'll head off to Japan to experience some of everything! But not wasabi. That stuff's HOT!

When I played again yesterday, I got a pagoda in the mail from Gulliver. I later gave it to Mira when she asked for some new furniture. (In return, she gave me an odd clock.)

Today is Nature Day (aka Earth Day), and Isabelle was at the town plaza for the occasion. She was giving out cool globes.

Isabelle: Since today is Nature Day, I'm sure you're thinking about our town's environment even more than usual!

There was also a face-cutout standee for the event. I tried to get Inkwell to join me for a photo, but he didn’t stick around long enough.

Jeff, and the back of Inkwell's head, in the Nature Day faceboard.

But a bit later, Lolly came over. It wasn’t a perfect fit either, but at least I could see part of her face through the cutout.

Lolly and Jeff use the cutout standee for Nature Day (Earth Day) in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (ACNL) for Nintendo 3DS.

Inkwell told me he was thinking of replacing his cyclommatus stag; that’s a rare bug! So I gave him the odd clock that I got from Mira. He loved it!

Inkwell: Wow! An odd clock! It's perfect!

Even though I was hoping for the bug in return, he gave me a modern wood table instead. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I’ll be back with another entry before the end of the month, so I hope to see you all then! Never Stop Crossing!
