Main Street Monkey

The other night, I spotted my former villager Elise on Main Street. Looks like I’ll be seeing her around for a while now, unfortunately.

Elise, on Main Street: Oh, Jeff! Fancy meeting you here. Just kidding. I knew you'd be here.
Please don’t stalk me, ugly monkey.

Yesterday, I spotted Vivian sitting on the metal bench in town. This is one of my favorite parts of town.

Vivian sits on the metal bench PWP in Forest.Later, I made a quick visit to Beth’s town of Acorn. Beth has grown since the last time I saw her.

Beth grows to giant size after eating a famous mushroom. We went to the Roost for coffee, and outside, I saw the light from the Roost sign shining under my head. I have no neck!

Jeff: I have no neck.Tonight, I was walking around Forest with a shovel in my hands. My newest villager Boots was afraid that I was going to dig some holes for him to fall into! I wouldn’t do that! Well okay, maybe I would…but I’m not being that mean to him just yet. 😉

Boots: Aha! You're planning on digging a bunch of holes for me to fall into, aren't you?I’ve recently posted my annual New Leaf slideshow to Youtube. It shows 210 of my best pictures from the past year. I hope you’ll give it a watch. It may feel like a trip down memory lane if you read this blog regularly. Feel free to comment on which picture(s) is/are your favorites! 🙂

Seeking, Catching, & Saving

Big Top invited me over to his house today. Once I got there, he told me to look to see if he had anything I wanted. I headed straight for his coelacanth, but he wasn’t interested in parting with it. He said it was like a brother to him.

Big Top: Huh?! I didn't think you'd want my coelacanth. Sorry, but no deal! It's like a brother to me.And yet, moments later, he nearly said the coelacanth was full of food! You’re gonna eat your brother?!

Big Top: My coelacanth! Just feast your eyes on it! It's filled with precious foo--Back outside, Vivian invited me to play a game of hide and seek. I had ten minutes to find her, Molly, and Lily.

Vivian: I'll explain the rules, OK? We'll all hide somewhere in town. You'll win if you find us in 10 minutes!Just over a minute later, I found Vivian trying to hide behind a house. I guess she was trying to camouflage herself with Camofrog’s house.

Vivian peeks out from behind Camofrog's house during a game of hide-and-seek in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.I soon found Molly and Lily, both hiding behind trees. With seven minutes to spare, I won the game of hide-and-seek.

I got to see Boots outside today, and he was wearing my Cavs flag design. He’s fitting in just fine.

Boots: I really like this style you designed! When peeps see me wearing it, I bet it'll become all the rage!Lily told me that she was planning on moving out of town on May 28th. Naturally, I declined her request. In fact, I don’t think I’m ready to let anyone move out of town right now.

I found a lost item on the ground behind town hall, near a pond. It took me a while to track down its owner, but I did eventually return it to Rolf. He thanked me by giving me an office locker.

Rolf: Ahh! My bag! I was looking for this! Where'd you find it?I then made a trip out to the island to catch some fish and bugs.

I caught a horned atlas! It's like a weight has been lifted! 144.4mmI filled up my dock box, returned home, and then sold my catches. That earned me enough money to kick my bank account balance up to 97 million bells.

Your current balance is 97,000,000 bells.

New Boots

On Sunday, I got Rodeo’s goodbye letter in the mail. I wish him well, wherever he may end up. And I always love that Super Mario Bros. 3 stationery. 🙂

To my pal, Jeff, At long last, it's moving day for me. On one hand, I'm excited about living in a new town. On the other hand, I'm sad to be leaving this one... It's really confusing my feet. Best wishes! --RodeoSunday was Mother’s Day, so I also received a letter from Mom. She sent me some pink carnations.

Now that Rodeo is gone, I had room for another villager in town. And I knew who I wanted. Ever since I bought my first pack of Welcome Amiibo cards, I knew I wanted to invite Boots into Forest. So I scanned his card on Monday, and he showed up at the campground. He was more than happy to move in.

Boots: Wait...it's really happening?!
Impressive jaw drop.

His house plot showed up yesterday, and he moved in today. His house is behind the Roost in the center of town, right next door to Molly. I’m pleased with his house location.

Sign on house: Boots's HouseI welcomed him to Forest. I think we’re going to be friends…as long as he doesn’t eat me.

Boots: I moved here just like I promised when we met up at the campground.Over by town hall, Camofrog asked me to take something to Vivian. I saw her walking just a few feet away, so I gladly accepted the easy task.

Vivian: What? My package was delivered to Camofrog?
Pete needs to be more careful.

The package contained a chef’s outfit. But Vivian had already ordered another one, so she offered to sell me this one. I went ahead and bought it, since she only wanted 435 bells for it.

My recent dream visitors have been Betsy from Hootvill, Oscar from Aimée, Sarah from Twinkle, and Tyler from Kieraton. Thanks for visiting!
