Groundhog Day 2017

Yesterday, I was happy to see that furniture was the premium item at Re-Tail. That allowed me to grab all my stored-up ice furniture out of storage and sell them for 17,776 bells apiece! I had 48 of them, and I sold them 16 at a time. Each batch earned me 284,416 bells…for a grand total of 853,248 bells!

Reese: Since I'm paying premium for all of these items today...the total is an amazing 284,416 bells! OK?All that money easily kicked my bank account balance over the 90 million bell mark.

Your current balance is 90,430,000 bells. The day got even better when I ended my bad streak by making a perfect snowmam.

Snowmam: This balance... I'm perfect!Today, Molly asked me to make a delivery to Rolf. The gift was a space suit, and I thought it looked really good on Rolf. He then rewarded me by giving me a durian.

Rolf: Heh. What do you think?
It’s out of this world.

February 2nd is Groundhog Day in America, so I found Isabelle over at the event plaza. She gave me a Resetti model for the occasion.

Isabelle: Oh, Mayor! Today's the day we try to guess when spring will arrive. It's Groundhog Day!There was also a special face-cutout standee.

Posing in the Resetti face-cutout standee for Groundhog Day.Up at the Dream Suite, I found that a town I featured in a previous blog entry is now back online.

Four-leaf clover paths, a fountain, pink trees, and Re-Tail as seen in Pastelia. For more info and additional pictures, see Dreaming of Pastelia.

My recent dream visitors have been Kitty from Sasstown and Raven from Valhalla. Thanks for stopping by! I should be back with another entry on Saturday, so I hope to see you then. 🙂

Unsuccessful Snowmam Stretch

I visited Beth’s town Acorn over the weekend, and we fell into holes after sitting on a tree stump.

I also started eating snow, although I don’t know why. Maybe I was just hungry.

Me eating some snow from the top of the bushes. On Sunday, Pashmina told me that she’s planning on moving out of town on February 8th (to experience some turf wars). I didn’t try to stop her. She’s been in town a good while (since September 2015), and I’m ready to let her move on. It’s been nice having her around, but I think I’ll scan in an Amiibo villager once she’s gone.

Pashmina: Anyway, I need to get out there and experience stuff like this. So next month on the 8th, I'm leaving! My snowmam was all melted away, so I tried to build a new one on Sunday. I rolled the snowballs over to my zen garden, but as I was walking, I accidentally bumped the bigger one onto the smaller one. As a result, I got a deformed snowtyke!

Snowboy: How did this happen? I can't believe it! How did I get such a big head?Yesterday, Rodeo asked me for a new catchphrase. I told him to say “or not.”

Rodeo: You really helped me out there! Or not!I tried making a snowmam yesterday and again today. Both times, I made snowmams…but they weren’t perfect ones. So they demanded five snowflakes (instead of three) for ice furniture. I’ve been making perfect snowmams without much trouble all winter, but now I’ve hit a rough stretch where I can’t seem to do it right. Maybe that angry, big-headed snowtyke put a curse on me. 😉

Anyway, the northern lights were up in the sky tonight. We only have a few more weeks before the auroras (and the snow) are gone.

Luna told me my recent dream visitors have been Mayounna from Amy Rose, Eli from Town, Leah from Snowdin, and Ellis from Yatton. In addition, Rodeo mentioned meeting Krystal from Wildwood in a dream. Thank you all for stopping by!

Aurora’s Birthday

Yesterday, I got a letter in the mail from Nintendo. It congratulated me on completing the beginner levels in Desert Island Escape.

To Jeff, Woohoo! You cleared every last beginner level of Desert Island Escape! What does that mean? You've won a Wii U station! -From NintendoMy reward was a Wii U station. It’s like a kiosk that you might find in a game shop. Pretty cool.

The Wii U station on display in my house. I got it in a letter from Nintendo for completing the beginner stages of Desert Island Escape.Outside, Camofrog asked me for some perfect fruit. But Saharah was standing nearby, and it almost looked as if Camofrog’s head was peeking out of Saharah’s sack!

Camofrog, standing behind Saharah: Hey, Jeff! Could you find me a perfect fruit? Oh, and to be clear, any kind would be fine, OK?!I gave him a perfect orange, and he wolfed it down so fast that he nearly croaked choked to death.

Camofrog: ...Urk! HACK HACK COUGH! I got so excited, I swallowed some the wrong way!Once he caught his breath, he gave me an imperial wall to thank me.

Today is Aurora’s birthday, so I made sure to attend her birthday party. Lily was also there to celebrate.

Aurora, at her birthday party: I'm so happy to spend my birthday with my friends. For her birthday present, I gave her a modern hospital bed that I picked up at the campground earlier. It reminded me of the time when Aurora had a hospital TV in her house. If you don’t remember, I was visiting her one time and I heard a cat meowing in her house! I didn’t see a TV in her house at first, until I realized it was up on the wall. 😛

Aurora enjoyed the present, and as Lily agreed, she seemed to be having a great time. Happy birthday, Aurora!

Lily, at Aurora's birthday party: Aurora seems to be having a great time! I think we can call this a successful birthday party.Once I left the party, I met up with Pashmina outside. She said Molly’s house was in a great spot, and she wondered how Molly found it. Uh, actually she brought the house with her when she moved in. Just like everybody else. 😛

Pashmina: Molly's house is in a really nice spot! How'd she find it?Later on tonight, I spotted Rolf chilling out on the town’s metal bench. Why do my villagers seem to use this bench more in winter, when it’s freezing outside? And it being metal is only going to make it feel even colder.

Rolf, sitting on a bench: Brrrrrr... Who decided that winter needed to be so cold...?

My recent dream visitors have been Derrick from Pie, Sam from Yavin 4, and Aya from Loamholm. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
