I have now played all of the other modes in Animal Crossing Puzzle League. Apparently, I got a good score in the Time Attack mode, because Nintendo sent me a letter congratulating me. Some Flower Fairy boots were also enclosed.
The other day, my bank account balance reached 85 million bells.
Yesterday was the harvest festival (aka Thanksgiving), but I played too late at night to participate (although I did participate in the ACCF harvest festival earlier in the day).
The New Leaf version of Franklin even referenced the earlier Animal Crossing games by talking about his fear of forks and knives. On GameCube and Wii, you had to take forks and knives and give them to Franklin in order to score harvest furniture.
Tonight, I found Pashmina sitting on the metal bench.
She goaded me into joining her, so I took a seat. I only stayed for a couple of seconds, though. A mayor has things to do, if you haven’t herd. And I’m too stubborn to alter my plans for long.
I saw a tent at the campsite, so I went inside to see who was camping. Big mistake. Ankha was there, and I couldn’t invite her in because my town is still full! ARRRGGGHHH!
This was the 2nd time she’s camped here when my town was full (the previous time was in July 2014). That’s okay though, I’ll get her someday.
Up on Main Street, I ran into my former villager Tom. It’s good to see him again, even if he does still live in my GameCube town too.
I redecorated my main room tonight, and I’m finally using a furniture set I’ve mentioned liking for years. It’s exotic furniture, customized in black and red. Once I set the pieces out, I used the new Happy Home Designer style controls to move everything around.
This is the end result. I kept my magic lamp out, for easy Amiibo scanning, and I also put my New 3DS and Wii U console where they’re easily accessible.
I moved the fruit-panel themed items over to my room on the left, replacing my sleek furniture. A lot of random update-related items are in here, along with some zodiac animals and a few other things. I may not keep it like this for long (or then again, I might), but I wanted this jumble of items out of my main room for now at least.

My recent dream visitors have been Sebas from Racoon, Julie from Wilkel, Kailey from PigVille, Luke from Alola, Kitty from Meowtown, and Jill from Bunny. Thanks for hopping over to Forest, you animals, you! π
Have a great weekend, everyone! See you next time!
I may be a few days late in mentioning this, but I’ve noticed that the fruit trees now have red leaves.
I started playing around with the Amiibo Camera feature a bit lately. You can scan an Amiibo card or you can choose one of your current villagers. And of course, you can use your own character(s) too. Here are a few of the pictures I took, although the first one was an accident. π
Here you can see Goldie sitting in the Urchin Underpass level of Splatoon. Don’t get splatted!
And then Goldie got shocked by the weirdness of Rhythm Heaven Fever.
I’ll have to play around with that feature more another time.
Instead of scanning Isabelle or Digby again, I decided to scan one of my Amiibo cards. I decided to go with Luna; I got her as my random card bundled with Happy Home Designer, but she is also available in
The quote on Luna’s pic is “Dreams are but a reflection of your unconscious self.”
And for the first time in years, I expanded the path around town! You may remember that part of my path in the southwest park used to be a dead end. But I extended it up to the CAT machine, over to the campground entrance, and then north up to the river (where it turns and rejoins the other path by my western bridge).
I will need to breed just a few more gold roses (after using my spares that were on the beach), but that’s no problem.
Now that we have matching bathroom stalls, she said that makes us twins! I guess the word doesn’t mean what it used to.
While visiting a dream town, I ran into Francine. And this bit of dialogue really fits the idea that she’s a human wearing bunny ears. She has to keep convincing herself that she’s a rabbit named Francine!

Unlike the normal story mode, in which I didn’t have to continue at all, I had to continue many times in hard mode. The final battle against Cornimer was particularly difficult. He kept beating me before I even had a chance to get going. Probably the most frustrating part of any Animal Crossing game for me. But eventually, I beat it. And now I probably won’t play story mode again, haha.
Merka picked up her items and she’s getting settled into her new town Muffy. She even got Drake to move into her town randomly–he is one of her favorite villagers. Good luck with your new town, Merka!
Even though those items are #1 and #2 on my shopping list, I’m having a cash flow problem. Well technically I have the money, but I don’t want to drain my wallet any further.
