Lily Encounters

Late on Saturday night, I found Katie the annoying traveling cat in my town. Beth was kind enough to open her gate for me, so I dumped Katie off at her town Acorn. Now she’s Beth’s problem. 😛

Katie: OK, I'm gonna go see what Acorn is all about!
Thanks, Beth!

While I was there, I got to hear the 6 a.m. music. That’s a song I rarely get to hear! I introduced myself to Beth’s villager Lily, who had an idea for a book called Acorn: Wild World!

Lily: I even have an idea! Doesn't a story called Acorn: Wild World sound interesting?Beth told me that Lily was moving out of Acorn soon (although later she got Lily to change her mind).

Yesterday, I got a bunch of letters with gifts attached in the mail. Wishy sent me a queen, Gulliver sent me a Manneken Pis (peeing statue), Katie sent me a toy camera, and Big Top sent me an office chair! It’s rare to get that many presents at once!

Squishy told me that perfect peaches were the premium item at her Re-Tail, and she opened her gate for me. So I headed over to her town Cosmic–but it’s a newer Cosmic, not the same town I previously featured in a Dream Suite Adventure.

Jeff: Thank you! After giving Squishy a basket of smuggled perfect peaches, I sold the rest at Re-Tail. Reese paid me a whopping 612,000 bells for them all! Thanks again, Squishy!

Reese: Since I'm paying premium for all of these items today...the total is an amazing 612,000 bells! OK?By the way, Squishy and Beth share a New Leaf blog called Cosmic Acorns. Go check it out! 🙂

When I returned home, I put my money bags into my bank account at the post office. My balance topped 76 million bells.

While asking Copper if any visitors were in town, he told me there was a camper at the campsite. I was surprised to see that Lily was inside! Is this the same Lily I just saw in Beth’s town just 16 hours earlier?

Lily in a tent at the campsite.Beth came over for a short visit in the evening. When I tried to have a chat with my good buddy Bob, Beth got in the middle of our conversation. Literally.

Beth stands in between me and Bob as Bob asks me what's up.And then today (August 1st), a message was posted on the bulletin board about the upcoming fireworks. That’s right, fireworks season is almost here. The first fireworks festival of the year is coming up on Sunday.

~ Notice ~ The fireworks show starts at 7 p.m. this coming Sunday! Don't miss it!I found Pashmina sitting on my metal bench, and she told me about a little accident she had. She crossed her legs, her legs fell asleep, and then she peed! Yuck, now I’ll need to hose this thing off before sitting on it.

Pashmina: Arghh! I crossed my legs, and they fell asleep! I peed!I made a trip out to the island for some bug-catching (and little fishing too). I netted over 200,000 bells worth of catches. But still, no Phineas. I really don’t know how I haven’t earned the fish or bug badges by now. I try to catch every random bug I see around town each day, and I catch a lot of the fish each day too. Phineas is driving me crazy.

Luna told me that Mia from SunTown was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting!

The Bug Zapper

I got a letter from Bob in the mail, along with a gift. He said the included item reminded him of me. In fact, he even suggested that I may have been one of these in a past life!

Jeff... SURPRISE! I got you a gift! It reminded me of you somehow... Maybe you were one of these in a past life? -BobI was afraid to see what the item was. But I checked it out, and the attached item was…a bug zapper! He thinks I was a bug zapper?! Not only is that insulting, but I’m shocked!

Item from letter: Bug zapper.I also got a letter from a now-healthy Molly. She thanked me for the medicine I took her the other day, and she sent me a subdued-print tee.

I visited Beth’s town this evening, and then she came over to Forest for a bit too. We sat on the bench and looked at Bob’s butt the sky.

Sitting on the bench and watching the sunset as Bob walks away.Up by the bulletin board, I released a bug (or two) in her face. But I was nice about it–I didn’t charge her for the snack. 😛

Releasing a bug in Beth's face.I ended the session before long. Later on, Rolf asked me for some new furniture to replace his carp. So I caught a black bass for him.

Rolf: Hello, black bass! Let's be good friends, yeah?!He rewarded me with his picture! I already have several duplicates of Rolf’s pic in a museum exhibit room though, so I didn’t even bother to save this one.

There was a meteor shower up in the sky tonight, so I went to my brick bridge to wish on some shooting stars.

Wishing on a shooting star seen above my zen bell.
Maybe I should have wished that it didn’t land on my zen bell.

Gulliver was down on the beach, and it took me a while to wake his lazy butt up. Once I did, he told me he was headed to a country that’s home to a peeing statue called a Manneken Pis. He also said the country was known for chocolate. Hmm, where to go for pee and chocolate? Belgium, of course!

Gulliver: ...Belgium!I also found a lost item down on the beach. The first person I asked about it was Agent S, and she said it was hers! That was easy!

Agent S: Hey, that's mine! I thought I'd never see it again! She gave me a kiwi tank for returning her mitten.

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend! I’ll see you next time. 🙂

Julian’s Time Capsule

Yesterday, Julian asked me to dig up his time capsule.

Julian: Hey, Jeff! About that time capsule from the other day... Could you dig it up for me?So I went to the northwest corner of town and dug it up. This is the same spot where Hamlet’s time capsule was, too. So there can be multiple time capsules buried in the same spot at the same time.

Look! I dug up a time capsule!I took it to Julian and he opened it up. He found this letter that he wrote himself:

Remember: Keep being awesome! If anyone says your fashion is freaky? Ignore them...they're just jealous! -JulianA hanten shirt was also inside the time capsule, and Julian gave it to me as his way of saying thanks. He said that our friendship has just grown stronger.

Julian: Thank you, Jeff! I feel like the bonds of our friendship have just grown stronger...And then today, Julian asked me for another favor. He asked me to return an ironing set that Hamlet left at his house. So I tracked down the hamster and made the delivery. Hamlet didn’t even remember leaving it there, but he still thanked me for returning it. He gave me a persimmon as thanks.

Hamlet: It's a persimmon! Now beat it! And remember: keep those knees up!
Sorry, but I don’t kneed your advice.

Able Sisters had an eye patch on sale today. I guess I just felt like being a pirate today, so I bought it.

Wearing an eye patch while blinking.
How do I look? I can’t see a thing.

I bought some medicine for Molly, since she was sick with a cold. Get well soon, ducky!

Molly takes her medicine.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told my most recent dream visitor was Joe from Lakeside. Thanks for stopping by!
