The Room Upstairs

Agent S’s birthday was today, so I made sure to drop in and wish her a happy birthday. Julian the unicorn was also there to help her celebrate.

Agent S: Skippy! You made it! Welcome! Come on in and make yourself at home, with nuts!I gave her an aurora screen as her birthday present. She really seemed to love it!

Agent S: No way! I can't believe you got me an aurora screen! I am SO totally psyched right now!I also chatted with Julian, and he seemed happy for Agent S.

Julian: Birthday parties are always nice! People coming together to make others happy! Isn't it wonderful? Now that July is here, the summer bugs are now out in full force. You will hear the cicadas and you’ll see bugs on many trees.

I caught an evening cicada! It just wasn't its night!I have finally decided to change the upstairs room of my house. It’s been a winter themed room since January 2014, and I kept all of the items I got from snowpeople up there. But it was long overdue for a change, so I ordered some stuff last night and received it today.

This may sound a bit odd, and it is, but I decided to make it a frog-themed room. In a way, it’s been a froggy year for me. On April Fools’ Day, I joked about becoming a Frogger blogger. And then in May, I spent a lot of time looking for frogs Emerald and Jambette (in AC and ACCF, respectively) as I recorded clips for my What if Animal Crossing Sounded Like Star Fox 64? video. (They doubled as Slippy Toad in the video).

Finding the frog shirt and frog-woman pole the other day must have been the final push that gave me the idea (and made me lose my froggin’ mind in the process).

There isn’t a swamp set in New Leaf, so I used the jungle wall and jungle floor. Some water was needed, so I ordered an outdoor bath. I also ordered two lucky frogs, two froggy chairs, a lily-pad table, and a couple of plants. I dressed up two mannequins as frogs, and I brought in a firefly lamp (from my museum exhibit) to add a little lighting. And I caught several frogs in the ponds outside to add some natural froggy sound effects.

My frog themed room.My frog-themed room.It may not be amazing or anything, but it is nice to change things up every once in a while. Especially when it’s been two and a half years. 😀 If you’d like to check out my new pad, my dream address is 4300-2003-9889.

Luna told me my most recent dream visitor was Gongy from NootMilk. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Froggy Fun

Last night, I made a visit to Arrested. Beth (playing as Michael) didn’t seem to enjoy the frog shirt I was wearing. I think she must associate all frogs with Jambette now.

Michael: FROG OFF!Jeff: Why are you so hopping mad?I did some glitching so that the frog could be home in the pond. I also started throwing beans at Beth/Michael.

Jeff: I spilled the beans. When I returned to Forest, Bob told me it was a dark and stormy night. Twice.

Bob: It was a dark and stormy night... And it's still a dark and stormy night.Molly said that she wanted to move out on the 4th of this month!

Molly: Well, that really resonated with me. So I've decided to move on the 4th of this month.
It’s a little late for that, ducky.

Of course she meant the 4th of next month (July). I guess she wants to declare independence from Forest? Too bad. Her request was quickly denied.

Tonight, Big Top asked me to catch a butterfly for him. None were out, so I grabbed a tiger butterfly from my dock box. (I try to keep a few butterflies in there for exactly this reason). Big Top enjoyed it, and in return, he gave me a frog-woman pole! I should give this to Beth! 😛

Big Top: It's a frog-woman pole!I found a lost item down on the beach, and I eventually returned it to its owner, Aurora. For returning her mitten, she gave me her picture. I’ve already received several of these from her before, but it’s the thought that counts.

Aurora: Wow, this is embarrassing! I guess I must have dropped it somewhere!

My recent dream visitors have been Mayounna from Amy Rose and Alessa from Wieda. Thanks for stopping by!

Can’t Let Ham Go

Yesterday, Bob found me by the tulip topiary and asked for the common butterfly in my pockets. He only offered 90 bells for it, but sure, why not? It’s not like I catch these things for the money anyway.

Bob: Would you ever consider selling your common butterfly to me?Saharah was in town today, and I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting. For reasons unknown, she thought this green wall and boxing-ring mat would be a good combination. Yuck!

A green wall and boxing-ring mat.Hamlet told me that he already wants to move out of town, on July 2nd! I don’t plan on letting anyone leave for a while, so I made him stay put. If he really wants to run away, I’ll just put him on a hamster wheel and let him think he’s actually going somewhere. 😉

Hamlet: OK, I give up! I can't move now. I'll see you around, bucko!

I made a dream visit to the town of Tranquil this afternoon. It has some horror-themed areas, but it also has some lighter movie and fairy-tale themed rooms as well. I wrote up a full Dream Suite Adventure of the town, so please check that out. But I’ll include a couple of bonus pictures of Tranquil here:

An exotic room in Tranquil.Dolls sewing. And if you haven’t yet seen my slideshow of pictures taken in my third year of New Leaf, here it is…even if it is a bit late. It includes pictures from May 2, 2015 to May 2, 2016.

My recent dream visitors have been Andrew from Lyminith and Ray from Forest. Thanks for stopping by!
