Master Turnip Trader Badge

Tonight I found that Resetti’s manhole was wide open.

An open manhole leading to the Reset Center.I went down, but I caught Resetti at a bad time: He was about to use the toilet! He even mentioned some creamed corn…

Resetti: I got me an emergency right here! Every second is precious! So get outta herHe kept insisting that I leave, so I left him alone to attend to his…business.

I visited Agent S, and she told me she needs to get her fortune told. She wanted to get lucky!

Agent S: I should totally get my fortune read someday! I need to raise my love luck!Copper told me that Phineas was in town, so I was excited to get a new badge. Once I tracked him down, he gave me the Master Turnip Trader badge…that’s the gold one!

I got the Master Turnip Trader badge! I've weathered the stalk market and come out on top! This was my first new badge in four months! My last one was the Dreamer Badge, which I got on July 23rd. Here’s an updated look at my badges:

My badge collection as of November 26, 2014.Even though I was originally planning on retiring from the turnip trade once I got my gold turnip badge, I think I’m going to keep at it for a while longer. The stalk market will also help me save 100 million bells for the billionaire badge.

Octavian told me he recently had a dream of Ola from Minitown; he said she was a big shopaholic.

Octavian: That reminds me! I recently had a dream involving Ola from over in Minitown. But when I checked at the Dream Suite, a different dreamer was my most recent visitor: Kimo from Kaorie.

The harvest festival is tomorrow, so I’ll be back with another update then. I need to remember to get all of the secret ingredients this time, so that I can get the cornucopia. I missed out on it last year.

For those in the U.S., have a great Thanksgiving!

Up Day on the Stalk Market

When I started up the game today, I was greeted by some rain. Shouldn’t it be snowing by now?

When I checked the mail, I found a letter from Gulliver. He sent me this Dala horse from Sweden.

The Dala horse that Gulliver sent me from Sweden. In Re-Tail, Reese was buying turnips for 319 bells each! So I sold my 3,200 turnips for a total of 1,020,800 bells. I actually lost money on the stalk market last week, so this turnip spike was a welcome surprise.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 319 bells.Meli came over to sell her turnips too.

Meli arrives in Forest.Meli sells her turnips to Reese. She even left me a tip!

(200 bells)That’s twice as much as I gave her last time! 😀 Haha, but seriously, Meli and I help each other out with turnip prices, so no big tips are required. In fact, I refuse to accept big tips whenever anyone tries.

Later on, Amelia asked me for a pear. I gave her the last perfect pear I had, and she rewarded me with a potbelly stove.

Amelia: I really owe you for that! So here's a potbelly stove.Sprinkle told me she had a dream of Suzu from Castor, who she said is a total flower fan. Luna would later confirm that Suzu was my most recent dream visitor.

Sprinkle: So this Suzu character was, like, a total flower fan!Cesar the gorilla was camping out at the campsite today, and he wanted to play a game for my Dala horse. I had to choose one of four cards, and each card had a different bell amount on it. The price shown would be the price he paid me for the horse. I chose the heart card, and I heart the result! He had to pay me 2,305 bells!

Cesar: This is gonna bite into my travel budget, but rules are rules... Here ya go--2,305 bells.

Harvest Week

Tonight, Amelia told me that she’s an airhead again. 😀 She also asked if I’m busy…and yes, I’ve been quite busy lately.

Amelia: I'm an airhead again. Aren't you busy, Jeff!A reminder about the harvest festival this week was posted on the bulletin board today. It takes place on Thursday (which is Thanksgiving in the United States), so that should be fun cooking with Franklin.

If you want to prepare, you might want to put a variety of fish and mushrooms in storage. That will save you some time on Thursday. It can feel more like a fishing tournament than a harvest festival otherwise.

~Notice~ This year's Harvest Festival is on Thursday, November 27th, so it's time to get ready and enjoy the fruits of fall together!Although I usually try to open my gate on the major holidays, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to on Thursday. If you’re on on my 3DS roster, feel free to check to see if my gate is open if you want, but it’s not a sure thing.

Near my central bridge, Octavian told me he was going to move out on November 30th.

Octavian: I've decided to move on the 30th of this month. But of course, I talked him out of moving.

Gulliver was unconscious down on the beach, so I woke him up for a little chat. Again, he mentioned the Nobel prize. After guessing wrong last time, I knew that the answer was Sweden. He’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: ...Sweden! That's right. That's right! I was going to go to Sweden!
