Today, Kidd told me that fishing was purifying his soul. Uhh sure, pal.
I took a trip out to the island, and on the way back, Kapp’n told me I look exactly like he did when he was younger! I seriously doubt that!
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Elsa from Lund was my most recent dream visitor. I stopped over at Squishy’s town for a moment. She had an item for me and I gave her a balloon.
A bit later, Madisyn came over to pick up an icy shirt I ordered for her.
I also offered her a balloon…but I told her one of them was filled with poisonous gas, so she had to choose wisely!
I also had an item for Mark, so he came over to pick it up. He said he was wearing his hunting king look. I don’t even know what that means, but I’m probably not going to be taking any fashion advice from him anytime soon.
After Mark left, Madisyn invited me over to her town. She showed me her modern town hall with her Sugar Skull flag.
I got to meet the camouflaged gator, Sly.
In Madisyn’s house, she told me to check out her “friends” here. They watch her while she sleeps. o.O
While I was upstairs, she told me that she lost her stylus. That’s what she was trying to say here:
I tried taking a nap on the bed, but Madisyn made it hard to get any sleep.
Outside of her house, she showed me her bamboo and bushes. They give her house a bit of a jungle feel. I almost expected Donkey Kong to jump out of that top window and start looking for his golden bananas.
Madisyn’s friend Liz also came over to visit, but Madisyn suddenly had to go. Nice almost meeting you, Liz. š
After that, I wrapped up my night in New Leaf. As a reminder, tomorrow is the first Friday of the month, so there’s no Friday Night Forest this week. I’ll see you all next time though! š
While making my rounds, I ran into Jack, the czar of Halloween!
He was telling me how to serve him on Halloween. I’ll have to use masks to scare the villagers in town, and I’ll want to stock up on candy too. He gave me a mummy mask, although I still have all six Halloween masks in storage from last year. Anyway, I went into the Roost, but I was unable to work a shift.
New Leaf gives players a full week to have a chance to meet up with Jack to be informed about the Halloween festivities. The game considers all seven days to be event days, so you won’t be able to work in the cafe until October 8th.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Claudia from SwagTown was my most recent dream visitor.
While I was there, Wendy showed me her new zen streetlights. They look really nice! Not many people seem to have these, but they should!
Wendy ended the session, and I opened my gate so she could shop in my town. Once she was done, I deposited my turnip money into my bank account, and my balance topped 23 million bells.
Up at the Happy Homes Showcase, Arnold from FatVille gave me a bubble wand.
In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Clayton from Lebanon was my most recent dream visitor. And back in town, Drago had a flea on him, so I used my net to pick it off. He thanked me by letting me keep the flea! What a guy.
Aurora was still sick today, so I gave her some medicine one again.
Gulliver was down on the beach, and I figured out he was headed to Mexico. He will be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.
Over on theĀ Friend Code ExchangeĀ page, I won a giveaway for 10 assorted balloons. A special thanks to Katie from Skyville! Some of these balloons will find their way into future giveaways of my own.
I held a different giveaway today, for the bubble wand I got earlier. Heather was the winner, so I headed to Hell to deliver the prize.
Enjoy the bubble wand, Heather!
Back in Forest, Gala asked me for an olive flounder. I was really hoping for her villager picture, so I agreed to catch the fish. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as quick and easy as I hoped. I did take an interesting picture while fishing off the cliff, though. You can just barely see my shoes and that’s it.
I was fishing off-and-on for over an hour trying to catch that olive flounder, but I wasn’t having any luck. So I went out to the island and fished there. My second fish caught there was an olive flounder!
I quickly returned to the mainland and gave her the fish. She commented on how healthy and energetic it was.
When she reached to give me my reward, my heart sank. Not only was it not her picture, but it wasn’t even furniture! It was a shirt! A pastel-stripe tee! Are you kidding me?! I wouldn’t be caught dead in that!
…but she might. I was furious. I got my axe out and…well, let’s just say I have enough bacon to feed the whole town for the rest of the week. I don’t think anyone will be calling Gala healthy and energetic. In fact, they might even say she’s unhealthy…and delicious.
