I received a letter from Gulliver in the mail today. He sent me this conical straw hat from Vietnam.
Crazy Redd was in town today, and I wasn’t sure which of his art pieces was real. So I took a chance on this wild painting since it’s one I need for my museum still. I don’t see what’s so “wild” about it, though. It looks like a placemat.
Gala approached me with a new nickname she thought up: Lamb.
I didn’t like her suggestion. But I kept with the spirit of it by choosing a nickname that rhymes with lamb.
I went up to Club LOL to catch a performance from K.K., and he sang K.K. Salsa for me. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the K.K. chips to eat with it.
For a moment, when I first went up the stairs at the Emporium, I thought the Nooklings were selling a scarecrow! But it was just a cowardly lion.
While I was there, I bought more medicine for Kidd. He was sick again today, but this second dose of medicine seemed to help him. Hopefully he’ll start feeling better soon.

Gulliver was down on the beach, and I was able to determine he’s headed to Vietnam. He will send me a gift from there tomorrow.
And today is the 4th of July, also known as Independence Day in the United States. Unfortunately, New Leaf doesn’t recognize this as a holiday (unlike the GameCube version of Animal Crossing). But I took matters into my own hands by making a pattern of the U.S. flag.
It’s impossible to make it perfectly in a 32 x 32 grid, but I think I came pretty close. It has 16 stripes instead of 13, and 49 stars instead of 50. But I’m happy with how it turned out. I put the new flag up at town hall.
Happy 4th of July to all of the Americans reading this! And have a great weekend, everyone!
In the Roost, I finally got Resetti’s coffee right! For once, he had nothing to complain about.
I made my way around to the new villager’s house and I went inside to meet Drago. To my surprise, he wasn’t a random move-in; he came from Maine. I’m guessing he’s probably from a StreetPass town.
Up in the Dream Suite, Luna told me Amy from Waffleby was my most recent dream visitor. And when I returned to Forest, I saw that Resetti’s hole was open! Maybe he liked his coffee so much that he wanted to invite me over!
This was my second time entering his mole cave. But he didn’t have anything interesting to say. In fact, he was being a bit gross. He told me how he had trouble clipping his toenails because his gut was so big. Wayyy too much information there, pal.
Just a reminder that there is no Friday Night Forest tomorrow.
