Tale of Three Towns

Sunday morning is the time to buy turnips, so I began my day looking for Joan. Unlike most weeks, I found her pretty quickly today. She was charging 97 bells for turnips, and I bought 1,200 of them.

Joan: So 1,200 turnips comes out to be 116,400 bells altogether. Do you wanna buy them?Kidd asked to check out my house, so I agreed to let him come over. But once I sat on my toilet, he suddenly had to go. So did I.

Kidd: I'd love to stay, but I have to go now, nahhhh.I then started watering my flowers. I stopped at the town tree to see my town’s visitor count: 240.

Visitors to Forest so far: 240 people.Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Kevin from Pembroke was my most dream visitor. To make some room in my storage, I put my duplicate villager pictures up in my trophy room. These might make another good contest/giveaway prize at some point in the future.

My duplicate villager pics.I accidentally built a snowmam last night, so I have some stray snowflakes floating around town. I was about to take the boat to my island, when I noticed one of those snowflakes behind me. So I canceled the trip. Kapp’n was not amused.

Kapp'n: Gar, what cheekiness be this?! Do ye just like barkin' for no reason like a sea dog, then?As I was on an island tour, Tom came online and asked if I needed bingo numbers. When I finished up the tour, I returned to the mainland, checked my numbers, and then headed to Tomville for a short visit.

Visiting Tom and friends. After I returned home, Squishy asked me if she could come over to sell some oranges. While she was here, I glitched into the river and she tried to fish me out.

Squishy tries to catch a Jeff fish.Later on, Tiffiny opened up her gate, so I headed to her town Auctus. Tiffiny already has a tile on the ground for Tammy, who will be moving from Forest to Auctus later this week.

Tiffiny's character patterns.Noah and Monica were also visiting Auctus. I glitched into the river once again, and Tiffiny was feeding the fish by throwing beans at me.

Jeff: Fish go blub.We headed out to the island and started going on some tours.

Tortimer: Tiffiny gets 4 medals, Jeff gets 3 medals. We did an ore collecting tour and some bug-catching tours. We even had a “doge” moment.

Jeff: Very gold. Monica: Such game. But then we got disconnected, so I ended my game for the night. Even though I wasn’t initially planning on playing on Wi-Fi today, I ended up playing three Wi-Fi sessions in three different towns today. And tomorrow, I should be visiting my old friend Ash for the first time in New Leaf. So I’ll be back with another update tomorrow!

Visiting SQville

Late last night, Pete came to my door! He had a letter for me. At 1 a.m. This couldn’t wait until morning, Petey?

Pete: Catch you later! There was a bilboquet attached to the letter. Uh, okay…

A bilboquet.Jessica then came over to get the clothes she needed for Gracie’s fashion check. She also had a petition that needed signatures, so she went around talking to my villagers. As for me, I just took a nap in Skye’s house.

I sleep as Jessica speaks with Skye.Jessica collected the signatures she needed, then went home for her fashion check, and then returned to give me my clothes back. Then today, I went over to Tom’s town and I got a bingo!

Snowman: BINGOOOOO!The snowman gave me a snowmobile. Tom’s Re-Tail was buying turnips for 129 bells, which was better than the price in Forest, so I sold my 1,200 turnips for 154,800 bells. Tom then did some glitching as his friend Eliazar looked on.

Tom stands in the doorway of the tent.Tom’s 3DS battery light turned red, so he quickly kicked us out. Back in Forest, I started fishing for the tournament. I needed big fish, so I caught a sea bass, a blue marlin, some tuna, and a hammerhead shark out on the island. I gave them to Chip in increasing size order so that I could keep breaking my record and get lots of prizes. Interestingly, he wouldn’t eat the hammerhead shark.

Chip: Hmm. Yup, looks like this is a good example of "catch and release." Except I can't give it back. Nyuk!So he just put the shark in his pocket. Yeah, that makes much more sense. 😛 Anyway, I scored a football-fish lamp, a Mama panda, a candy jar, a squid chair, a washbasin, and a marine pop floor. Here’s a look at my haul:

My fish tourney rewards. My 111.65 inch hammerhead shark held on for the top spot, and I won the gold fish trophy. Rolf got second place and Tia got third.

Celebrating a fishing tournament win.I’m running out of room, so I decided to put all of my fish furniture into a museum exhibit room for now. That room currently has my balloon furniture in it as well.

My museum exhibit. At 10 p.m. my time, I headed off to Saarah’s town SQville, where it was 2 p.m. Sunday. She asked what we should do; the decision was easy.

Jeff: Let's destroy this town!Okay, so I didn’t really destroy her town. But she did let me cut down three trees with my silver axe to give her some special stumps. She got an orange (?), a heart, and a Triforce.

The special stumps in SQville. She then started giving me a tour of her town. She has two very cool cats, Lolly and Bob! Lolly informed me that her bookshelf contains books.

Lolly: I hope you had a chance to check out my bookshelf. It's full of books, of course!
You don’t say.

Saarah also has Stinky. Saarah told me he has underwear on his head! I guess that would explain the name.

Stinky: I'm Stinky! Hope we can be buddies! But one side is red and one is blue. Does that keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool?

In her house, Saarah has the cabana furniture. But not just any cabana furniture, golden cabana furniture.

Saarah's golden cabana furniture set. With the tour complete, we did some glitching. She led me to an “endless place,” where we had a not-so-endless race.

Glitch racing in the void. After that, I returned home to Forest and went up to Club LOL. I asked K.K. for a random song and he played K.K. House for me.

Mermaid Furniture Giveaway

Last night, Aurora asked me for some medium sized furniture. I didn’t have anything good to give her, so I fished her out a sea bass. She liked it so much that she gave me her picture for it! I already had a picture or two from her before, but still…a picture for a sea bass?!

Aurora: Here's my Aurora's pic! Thank you so much for helping me!Then today, Tammy had a surprise for me. She said she’s going to move out of town on February 12th!

Tammy: I'm leaving on the 12th of this month. You gonna be OK with that? She’s my least favorite villager, so I have no problem with her leaving…even though I don’t have her picture. Because honestly, I really don’t want it. I suppose I could keep it in a drawer with Tabby’s pic to frighten people when they go snooping through my things, but it’s not a necessity. Tammy thought I was just playing it cool by holding back the tears. Ha!

Tammy: Hah! I get it. You're playing it cool. Trying your best not to cry. It's OK.By the way, Tammy is already spoken for; I’ll be giving her to Tiffiny next week.

Anyway, Jessica asked me for clothes to pass a rock ‘n’ roll fashion check from Gracie. So I got the clothes out of storage in preparation of loaning them to her (even though I still have not heard back from her). To save room, I put the skeleton hood on my head. Technically, the hood isn’t a rock ‘n’ roll item, but it matches the skull shirt I have on-hand, and this collection of items will pass her fashion check–I used it to pass my fourth and final fashion check in October.

Tom and I visited each other’s towns for bingo numbers and I got a double ding. That’s actually pretty good, considering that’s a new bingo card I just got yesterday.

Snowman: DOUBLE DING!I stopped to dance on Tom’s chessboard in the moonlight.

Dancing on a chessboard. When I returned home, I finally checked my mail for the day. Wishy sent me this podium for wishing on the shooting star last night. Does it make me look presidential?

President Jeff Skellington?Forget town hall, I should make that my office. Rolf can be in charge of security and Molly can be my maritime lawyer in charge of port authority.

Luna told me that Finnian from Hyrule was my most recent dream visitor. And I wrapped up my day by failing at making a snowboy.

I’ve finished up my monthly slideshow of pictures, so here’s a look at 180 of my best pictures from January.
