The Orange Sucker

Last Thursday, Boots and Hornsby each gave me an extra copy of their villager picture as rewards for favors.

The first fireworks festival of the summer is coming up on Sunday, and many of my villagers are looking forward to it.

Aurora: The fireworks show is only a few days away! I look forward to these shows all year long.

Big Top asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek yesterday. He gave me 15 minutes to find him, Hornsby, and Molly. Hornsby was the first one I found; he was behind the house of Agent S.

Hornsby: No! How'd you find me?! I was in super-stealth mode and everything!

I later found Big Top behind a tree near the illuminated clock, and Molly behind a tree near the Roost.

Molly: Hey! How did you know

Big Top gave me a Mrs. Flamingo as my prize for winning the game.

Inkwell asked me for an orange, so I found one in town to give him. He sucked it down and then rewarded me with a massage chair.

Inkwell sucks down an orange in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
He’s an orange sucker in more ways than one.

Rolf asked me for some new furniture today, so I bought him some propane tanks from Harvey’s shop at the campground.

Rolf: Oh! Some propane tanks!
Propane you’re welcome.

He seemed to enjoy them, and he gave me a vintage camera in return.

I went up to the Roost on Main Street, where K.K. Slider was performing. I asked for a random song, and he played Cafe K.K. for me. Velma and Dizzy were also there to enjoy the show.

Toilet of Honor

July 2nd was Agent S’s birthday, and I made sure to attend her party. I gave her a kiddie bureau as a present, and she seemed to enjoy it.

Agent S: It means SO much to me that you came to celebrate with me. You've made today an extra-special day!

Her buddy Hornsby was also at the party to celebrate, and we had a good time. 🙂

Hornsby: Now that you're here, it REALLY feels like a party, shnozzle.

When I visited Inkwell, he told me that he has stuff from the past, present, and possibly, the future!

Inkwell: I have stuff from the past and the present and possibly the future... I don't want you to see some of it!

He then asked me to buy his super toilet for 1,584 bells, and I agreed to the exchange.

On July 8th, Agent S asked me to bury a time capsule for her…so I did.

Today, Molly asked me for some furniture to replace her hose reel. So I gave her the super toilet that I got from Inkwell.

Molly: Oh! A super toilet is exactly what I needed!

She said she was looking forward to putting it in a place of honor. 😂😂😂

Molly: I'm looking forward to getting this home and putting it in a place of honor, oh quack!

She then rewarded me by giving me her skeleton!

Molly: Here's my skeleton! Thank you so much for helping me!

Inkwell asked me for a piece of perfect fruit tonight.

Inkwell: I heard a rumor there's a really perfect fruit out there somewhere!

So I went home to check if I had any other than peaches in storage; turns out I didn’t. So I gave him a perfect peach, and he gave me a compass in return. No luck on getting his picture just yet, but I’ll keep trying!

Inkwell’s Time Capsule

On June 4th, I received a letter from Inkwell thanking me for attending his party. He sent me a big-dot tee. Later that day, he asked me to bury another time capsule for him.

Inkwell: Hey, Jeff! Go bury my time capsule for me!

It was raining on June 16th, and Inkwell told me that he just lets the rain wash his sweat away, so that he doesn’t have to shower. And yet, he was holding an umbrella.

Inkwell: I don't even have to take a shower when it rains. I can just let the rain wash the sweat off!

I always thought it was silly that frogs don’t hold umbrellas in New Leaf, and yet, octopi do. An octopus needs to be in water more than a frog does!

Yesterday, Inkwell said it was time to dig up the time capsule. So I did.

Look! I dug up a time capsule!

I returned it to him, and he found an old, sweat-soaked beaded shirt. Why does this guy talk about sweating so much? 😛

Inkwell: Ha ha! Want an old, sweat-soaked beaded shirt of mine?

He gave me a modern cabinet for helping him out.

I couldn’t help but notice that peacock butterflies only sell for 220 bells in this game. I had forgotten that fact; in New Horizons, they sell for 2,500 bells. I wonder what happened between games that made them jump in value. 🦋 😛

Reese: Ooh, a peacock butterfly! I can take that item off your hands for 220 bells, if that's OK?

Today, Boots asked me for a piece of fruit. I gave him a perfect peach, and it was jaw-droppingly good.

Boots: Oh my gosh! This stuff is so tasty!

He must’ve been over the moon, because he rewarded me with a lunar rover. 😉

Inkwell wanted some new furniture to replace his greenhouse box. I grabbed a handwashing area out of storage and gave it to him. He loved it!

Inkwell: Wow! A handwashing area! It's perfect!

He rewarded me with a plush carpet. I still haven’t earned his pic yet, but I’ll keep trying!
