Phineas was in my town again today, and this time he gave me the Catalog Maniac Bronze badge.
And instead of a money rock, I had a gem rock.
Two of the gems were gold nuggets. I also had one gold nugget in storage, so I took the three of them to Re-Tail so Cyrus could turn them into a piece of golden furniture.
At 2:00, I opened my gate for a rare daytime Wi-Fi party. Tom and Olivia, both from England, were trying to come in, but they kept getting error messages. But Wendy, Annissa, and Valeria were able to come over to visit. I went into Re-Tail and saw that Cyrus was sleeping. I paid that punk to work! Wake up, you lazy bum!
We headed over to the Roost for some coffee-to-go. Of course, you can’t actually drink the coffee while sitting at the table. So why even have a table??
So we did the only thing we can do: We whooped in our chairs.
Back outside, Valeria commented on how adorable Molly is. So we all gathered around her. Although it felt like a ghost passed right through me!
And for some reason, I felt like I should watch my back.
Then we all started drinking our coffee. It looked like my town was full of coffee addicts.
We also took a look at my wind turbine.
Valeria informed me that there was a lost item on the beach. After going down to get it, I talked to Molly and asked if it was hers. To my surprise, it was! It’s very rare for it to belong to the first person you ask. She gave me a straw shirt to thank me.
Valeria left around 3:15, and Joey from Seasons came over about 10 minutes later. I think I’m going to start mentioning some players’ towns, so I can remember who’s who. Because I have at least two Joeys on my roster, and at least three Nicks.
A bit later, Annissa left. At the police station, Copper told me that my visitors better behave themselves! Preach it, Copper! 😛
We then headed off for the island, where we did a giant dragonfly tour. I caught a pet!
I did awful at the tour, coming in last place. But we each won 20 medals for meeting the goal! Plus, we got bonus medals; I only got one bonus medal, but Wendy got 10 medals for coming in first place! That’s a total of 30 medals for her in one tour! Wow! But after that tour, it was 4:00 and Joey had to go, so I decided to end the party.
With the gate now closed, I went back to the Roost to work a shift. I had two out-of-towners today, Olivia and Naomi. What is with Naomi’s neon pink sideburns??
Since the out-of-towners actually told me how they wanted their coffee, I was able to get everyone’s orders perfect again today. Brewster gave me superb coffee beans once again. After that, I went to Re-Tail to check on my golden furniture. It was completed, but it was another golden clock! The same thing he made me last time! Ugh!
But I had a plan to get Rolf to buy my beans. Somehow he knew!
But he still fell for it! Thanks, sucker! (Just kidding, Rolf. You’re a good friend).
That’s all for today, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow!
To my surprise, he eventually did swing the net. He missed the bug of course, but it was nice to see the attempt.
My town tree told me that I’ve had 54 visitors so far, so apparently it takes 50 to get the Good Host badge. Interestingly enough, beating all of your visitors with a toy hammer doesn’t hurt your chances of being considered a good host. 😉
As I continued my walk around town, I saw my first Jacob’s ladder! It was next to my pyramid.
I took my daily fossils up to Blathers, and for once, I had a new one! It completed the archelon.
I looked around saw that I only need two more fossils to complete my collection.
It’s a silver watering can! It can water five squares at once. This will definitely come in handy.
I also caught a cyclommatus stag, but I didn’t want to give it to Nat unless I had to. So I waited until 5:59, and saw that my jewel beetle still was the record-holder. So I hung on to my cyclommatus stag, and went into Nat’s tent for the awards ceremony. Yay, first place!
After that, I decided to visit Club Tortimer. The first island I visited had nobody there but me. So I went back and tried again; this time, there was someone named Jo from the U.K. We caught some bugs and fish, and did some diving. But after 15 minutes or so, I had to go, so I said goodbye.
That’s all for today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with some Wi-Fi fun. Remember, I’ll be opening my gate at 7:00 p.m. London time. I hope some of the Europeans on my roster are able to make it.
I worked a shift at the cafe and earned some superb coffee beans. Brewster also gave me a third gyroid, the mini brewstoid. In this picture, it’s the small one on the right.
And as I made my way around town, I reached the northeast corner of town, where I usually backtrack to get to my bridge. And then I saw it. Yes, my brick bridge is done!
This provides a nice shortcut and it’s quite helpful. And soon after crossing, I saw Katt, who asked me for an ocean fish. I was glad to help! No, really! I caught a wonderful ocean fish just for her!
Tabby approached me, so I had to talk to her. (Eventually, she’s going to have to move out, right? Right?!) Unfortunately, that discussion didn’t happen today. But she did suggest a new town project: an illuminated heart. Wendy has an illuminated heart (you can see an animated pic on my
I then went into town hall to trigger the completion ceremony for the brick bridge. Even though you have the option not to attend the ceremonies, they’re quick and fun, and I haven’t turned one down yet.
I then returned back to town hall to check my town status. Wait, what is this? Can it be? Forest has achieved perfect town status?!
Woohoo!
Isabelle said that nobody wants to move out of a perfect town, which is a scary thought. I don’t want to be stuck with Tabby, Katt, Rory, and Tex forever! But I’m sure it’s just hyperbole; at least I hope so. Otherwise, I’d have to start trashing my town! 😛
And now that I have a third bridge, this is my current town map:
After that, I made my way up to Main Street. T.I.Y. had a cool stained glass for sale. I bought it.
I put it in my house, but it doesn’t look real great if you put it over an existing window. Part of the old window is still visible, so it may look best on an empty wall (even though you won’t get sun shining through it that way).
After that, I saved my game. But I started the game up again at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest. Dash, Daisy, and Wendy came over to visit.
We did some dancing at Club LOL and then went to my house. Wendy gave me a free harp, no strings attached.
And we spun my colorful wheel, with each of us saying the number it landed on. Clearly, everyone sees something different.
Everyone had nice custom outfits except me.
After we were done in my house, we went to the island.
After catching some fish and bugs, we went on a tour (to save our game). We did the firefly tour, which I don’t recall playing before.
Wendy won that tour, but we also did a hammer tour, which I won. We did another round of catching fish and bugs before returning to Forest. Dash left once we returned. Nick ended up coming in to take his spot. But Nick didn’t stick around too long. After he left, Wendy reminded me to try
Daisy and I were taking turns, trying to get either of us onto the tracks also, but we weren’t having any luck. But then Joey came in. With his help, he was able to get me onto the train tracks as well!
Joey left, and I ended the party shortly after 1:00. I had a fun night, and I got a lot done today too–namely achieving perfect town status. Good day.
