Aurora was finally feeling better today, and she thanked me for taking medicine to her the past few days. She gave me a mini dharma as a reward. She also said if I get sick, she’ll nurse me back to health. Uhh, that won’t be necessary.
Rolf also approached me today, asking if he was an animal, what kind of animal would he be?
Well he is an animal of course, so I said he would be a tiger. For some reason, he got really mad about that.
It seems like Rolf was more likable in City Folk.
Anyway, Big Top asked me for a new greeting. So I told him to say “junk in my trunk.”
And when I ran into Aurora again, she suggested a wind turbine as a town project! YESSS!
I’ve been planting a lot of flowers around town, so I decided to check my town status. But all they said was that I still need more town projects. I guess they won’t comment about the trees and flowers until you have a certain number of projects? So I decided to build a new one.
I considered three possibilities: the police station, a third bridge, and of course the wind turbine. But my decision was an easy one when I realized that the police station and bridge cost more money than I currently had on hand. So I picked out a good spot for my wind turbine.
And I paid it off right then and there.
I ended my game for the moment, but I started it back up around 10:15pm. I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest; Wendy and Valeria came over to visit. Some of my Youtube subscribers may remember Valeria from many of my early ACCF Wi-Fi Moments videos. Anyway, Wendy and I danced at Club LOL while Valeria did some shopping. Here, it looked like Wendy shot blue spikes out of her skirt. 😛
Before long, Joey also came over to visit. He and Valeria joined Wendy and me in Club LOL.
After we were done dancing, we headed to my house and hung out there for a while. Joey’s 3DS battery was dying, so he had to leave. After he did, Dash came in to take his spot. Some people might try to tell you I used the toilet in my wheat field, but they can’t prove it.
When we went outside, I spotted some pitfall seeds Dash had buried. I was able to dig one of them up, but I fell into a different one before I could dig it up. Wendy also fell into one.
Dash soon told me that he found a time capsule. Not long after he did, Benedict asked me to dig his up!
I went and got it for him, and he opened it up. It contained a kettle, which he then gave to me. How exciting.
We then headed off to the island. We first did a balloon-hunting tour. Of course, the play area was littered with pitfall seeds.
Valeria won the balloon game; I got third place.
We then did an item-matching game and a beetle-hunting game. Wendy won the latter.
After those tours were over, we did some bug-catching, fishing, and diving on the island. Here, a jellyfish stung Wendy as I surfaced with an acorn barnacle.
We stayed on the island for a good while, and then headed back to Forest. But after just a few minutes, we disconnected. We had gone the whole night without disconnecting at all, but now it did. I was thinking the game saves when you return from the island, but it does not! My entire basket of catches was gone! The game doesn’t let you save while you’re on the island for some reason, which is really stupid. And I should have saved when we got back from the island, but I was thinking it already did that.
Be sure you save your game as soon as you get back from the island! I need to remember that, and it’s a good tip for all of you as well. I probably lost at least 100,000 bells worth of fish and bugs. After that, I was too peeved at the game to reopen my gate. I was having a good time tonight, but losing that much money completely ruined the night.
Big Top was upset because he couldn’t wait for the next Animal Intersection game to come out.
Molly told me something very interesting about Cyrus at Re-Tail. Apparently if you take a song and a giant clam shell to him, he can make a music box out of them!
And today, Tom Nook expanded my upstairs room, so I went to check it out.
Outside, Big Top approached me and asked if I knew what a time capsule was. Haha, I guess this means he forgot about what I did to his last one. 😀
But he once again asked me to bury a time capsule, and this time I’ll be sure not to accidentally open it.
The Shrunk Funk Shuffle is a ridiculous (and hilarious) little dance that’s sure to make people laugh. And that was the last emotion there is for me to learn, so my joke book is now complete.
He also gave me his hideous, tacky jacket. Naturally, it’s called Dr. Shrunk’s jacket.
I’m not a fan of Dr. Shrunk’s jacket, but that last emotion has already become one of my favorites.
After I was done, I opened my gate for best friends so Wendy could come and shop too. She just happened to be dressed as Cleopatra, so I thought it would make a good picture if King Tut and Cleopatra posed by my pyramid.
I also showed her my funky Shrunk Funk Shuffle dance. It’s not every day you get to shake your butt for Cleopatra. She really seemed to enjoy it.
Later on, Molly approached me and said she wanted to move out of town!
Absolutely not! I wasn’t going to let her waddle away
That’s all for today, but I’ll back with more tomorrow. In the meantime, if you’d like to take a look a behind-the-scenes look at how the stalk market works, here’s a video from TheWarpZone that explains it all:
And over at Re-Tail, there was a large bookshelf for sale. And they’re not kidding, this thing is huge!
I made a quick stop at Club LOL; I gave Shrunk a mango and he taught me the daydreaming emotion. It’s basically an empty thought bubble.
I only need one more emotion and I’ll have them all! I should get it tomorrow, if I remember to play before 8 p.m.
I then headed over to the Roost to work a shift. My first three customers were regular villagers, whose orders I got perfect. Could I finally have a perfect day in the cafe? Not so fast. In walked Tom Nook for the first time.
The cafe uniform looks nice, but it does not go well with my basketball shorts. I’ll have to buy some pants to match it.
He gave me a Balloon Hunter badge, for popping a lot of balloons. I appreciate the fact that I’m getting a new badge of course, but is popping balloons really a skill that merits a reward?
I’m not sure which police station I’ll choose just yet. I do prefer the modern one, but it comes with Copper–and I would prefer Booker. Well, I’ll have to think about it.
She installed an autumn wall and a sand garden. It actually doesn’t look bad.
I decided to keep the autumn wall for now, although I changed the flooring back to my backyard lawn.
And before I was done playing for the night, I decided to check out the Happy Homes Showcase. To my surprise, two new homes were available there. They were apparently both from SpotPass: Rich from Ramburg and Krys from Clover. Rich’s house wasn’t anything spectacular (unless you like lots of gyroids), but Krys’ house was pretty cool. This is the main room:
The bathroom was also quite nice:
Last week, I put up a Youtube video showing a slideshow of pictures I took during the month of June. I actually forgot to embed the video in this blog, so if you haven’t seen it (or want to see it again), here you go:
