Throwing Hornsby a Bone

Hornsby asked me for some furniture tonight, so I thought I’d give him my skeleton. I didn’t need it any more.

Hornsby: Nice! I had my eye on a skeleton just like this one.

In return, he gave me a small magazine rack. That might not have been the fairest trade, but I wasn’t mad about it at all. In fact, I didn’t have an angry bone in my body!

Lolly told me she was thinking about moving out of town on March 3rd, but of course, I told her not to go. I then kept talking to her until she got sick of me.

Lolly: ACK! Y-You startled me.

Claudia said that she loved the scent of the peach trees in Forest. She then asked me for a peach. I went the extra mile (more like the extra acre) to grab her a perfect peach from over near the Roost. She loved it, and she gave me a seven lamp in return.

Claudia: Mmm! What flavor, if I died!

There was an igloo at the campsite, and Cherry the dog was inside. She seems pretty cool, but Forest already has the maximum number of villagers allowed. Although I have been thinking about shaking things up… Maybe someday.

At Club LOL, I spotted my former residents Elise and Tom. It was nice seeing Tom again.

Tom: Confession time: I came by because I was missing Forest. Isn't that just like me?
No, but I’m glad to see you anyway.

K.K. Slider performed K.K. Jongara for the three of us (well four, if you count Dr. Shrunk).

As a reminder, Festivale is coming up on Monday (February 24th), and the snow will be melted by Tuesday morning. If you need help with Festivale or just want a refresher on how it all works, see my Festivale Guide.

If you haven’t seen my video sharing my thoughts on the recent New Horizons Direct, you can see it here.

According to Luna, my most recent dream visitor was Lulu from Lu City. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great night (or day)! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

Laptop for an Orange

Last Sunday, I put my wet suit on and did some diving in the ocean. That’s not something I do often, but I was doing it to record footage for a video. That video turned out to be “What Goes On Underwater.” While it’s not strictly about New Leaf, the last scene (which is probably the funniest) shows the struggles of diving in ACNL. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet.

Today, Big Top told me that he’s been using a new shampoo that smells like raisin bread. I’m not a fan of raisins, so I had no interest in smelling his hair. Wait…does he even have hair under that helmet?

Big Top: A huh huh huh! That's 'cause I'm using a new shampoo that smells like raisin bread!
Imagine if he scratched his head and raisins fell out.

Hornsby asked me for a piece of fruit, so I gave him a perfect orange. In return, he gave me a laptop! Wow, I wish I could trade an orange for a laptop in real life!

Hornsby: A fantastic piece of fruit deserves a fantastic thank-you! Here. Have my laptop!

When I started a conversation with Agent S, she seemed shocked that I actually spoke to her. It’s been a long time, apparently.

Agent S: Wait. Is that YOU? Talking to ME? This isn't a dream? It's really Jeff-Agent S talk time?

She said I’ve walked by her a billion times without saying anything, and that’s obviously not true. I just haven’t been playing New Leaf a whole lot lately.

Agent S: Sorry, but you DO know you've walked right by me, like, a billion times and not said anything?

But she then shifted the blame to herself, saying she could have spoken to me first (which isn’t actually true), and she felt bad that maybe she was being a bad friend. Poor squirrel.

While walking near town hall, I saw Molly from the back…and it occurred to me that the back of her head looks like a Goomba from the Super Mario series. Oops, I better not tell her that.

Jeff sees Molly walking from behind, while near town hall.
Well at least I didn’t stomp on her.

I updated my dream town (which I hadn’t done in a while), and I headed to Club LOL for the Saturday night musical performance. Dizzy and Peck were in the audience, and K.K. Slider played Aloha K.K. for us.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include Jack from Oakwood, Sarah from Fishtown, and Timo from Skyscape. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Rewarded for Snooping

On Monday, I let Merka come over to drop off the devil Katie in my town.

Merka and Katie arrive in Forest via train.

I actually haven’t seen Katie in a long time, but I’ve never really been a fan. Katie has annoyed me very much in the past, and I’m kind of hoping she permanently missed her flight to the New Horizons island.

Merka and I had a brief net fight.

Jeff and Merka attack each other with nets.
My net is golden, so I win.

She asked me about the whirt shirt I was wearing.

Merka: What's ur whirt?

I was wearing the black anchor tee from Inkwell’s RV, so I offered to scan a Splatoon Amiibo so she could check it out (and order one for herself, if she wished). I had to kick her out, but I reopened after summoning Inkwell and his RV.

Jeff and Merka hang out in Inkwell's RV.

I played New Leaf again tonight, and I was barely able to make it to Chip’s tent in time to see the winners’ ceremony for the fishing tournament. Merka’s former villager Claudia was the winner, with a “stunning” 6.45 inch pond smelt. Vivian got 2nd place, and Aurora finished in third.

Claudia stands atop the winners' podium during the fishing tournament's winners ceremony.

The northern lights were shining in the sky, so I took this picture after I came out of Chip’s tent.

The aurora borealis shines above Chip's tent in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

While snooping through Lolly’s furniture, I found a classic chair in her dresser. The cute kitty let me have it.

Jeff, in Lolly's house: I got a classic chair!
I got rewarded for snooping.

At Club LOL, Kabuki and Dizzy were hanging out to hear K.K. Slider perform. I asked K.K. for a random song, and he played K.K. Ballad.

K.K. Slider performs at Club LOL. Kabuki, Jeff, and Dizzy are in attendance.

Rolf informed me that Aurora was thinking about moving out. So I made sure I got her to ping me (even though I had to save and quit to do it), and I got her to change her mind and stick around. The scary part is that she was going to move on the 10th, and today is the 8th. If I hadn’t stopped her, she would have been gone by the next time I played! Yikes.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include Jacques from Noatun, Emily from Gooseton, and Corban from Maytron. Lolly also mentioned dreaming of Ivy from Pumpkin. Thank you all for stopping by, and have a great day!
