On Wednesday, I headed up to Able Sisters to swap out my green brick path for my icy brick path. I always use it during winter. You can see it here, as Aurora gives three cheers for our friendship (aww).

Lolly and Molly were hanging out together at Molly’s house. Maybe I should check here the next time I have trouble finding Lolly! Anyway, Molly told me that her socks keep coming off her feet at night, and her feet feel like ice. So she came up with a possible solution:

I spotted the first igloo of the season, and Peewee was inside. He can stay there, though. I just like the exterior appearance of the igloo. 🙂

On Thursday, I gave Claudia a new catchphrase.

Today is the winter solstice, and in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, that means the sun never comes up all day. Hornsby was freaking out from the daytime darkness.

Isabelle was standing at the event plaza, handing out glow wands.

I did a little ice skating…well, fake ice skating in the face-cutout standee.

Aurora told me that she wanted a doll for Toy Day…one with pretty hair, to be specific.

I kept talking to my villagers today until I got all of my Toy Day clues. This is what everyone in Forest wants:

• Agent S: yellow wallpaper
• Aurora: red doll
• Big Top: orange wallpaper
• Boots: gray electronics
• Claudia: beige wallpaper
• Hornsby: green carpet
• Lolly: blue umbrella
• Molly: colorful food
• Rolf: green doll
• Vivian: gray furniture

I better be careful with those wallpapers…one yellow, one orange, and one beige? That could be tricky, especially for a colorblind person. 😛

So I’m all set for Toy Day now…except for the Santa outfit. I bought the Santa hat today, but I still need the other pieces.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include George from Werthers, Burrito from Marvels, and Amelia from Lakeside. Vivian also mentioned someone named Crisfer, but she didn’t specify a town.

I might be back with another entry on Christmas Eve, but we’ll see. Happy holidays, everyone!

It’s really starting to feel like winter in Forest. Not only does snow cover the ground and trees now, but tonight I spotted the northern lights for the first time this season.

The fishing tournament was held today, and I played too late to participate…or even to see the winners’ ceremony. However, I saw on the bulletin board that Agent S was the winner, while Hornsby finished 2nd and Boots was 3rd.

Lately I’ve been forcing myself to buy some items at the Nooklings’ shop (on the rare occasions when the shop is actually open when I play). And that has paid off, because tonight, Lolly told me I’m a hometown hero!

Apparently, I wasn’t spending enough of my money before, and that contributed to me being called a bell-pincher. I used to think the bell-pincher reputation was about not buying things from villagers. And maybe that still plays a part in it, I’m not sure. But buying from your villagers alone is not enough to shake the bell-pincher label. So if you’re having trouble with that, go shopping.

Today’s snowballs were both near the event plaza, so I rolled them up and made my first snowmam of the winter.

However, I didn’t make her perfectly. So she demanded five snowflakes (instead of three) for ice furniture.

At Club LOL, K.K. Slider performed the unseasonable Spring Blossoms for me, Velma, and Julian.

When I visited Rolf, he informed me that he wanted a doll for Toy Day!

With Toy Day coming up in a few weeks, villagers have started to drop hints on what they would like for the holidays. For example, Agent S told me she wanted something yellow.

Here is a quick summary of the (very few) hints I’ve seen so far:

• Hornsby: something green
• Lolly: blue umbrella

I found a lost item on the ground last night, and it turned out to be Lolly’s.

I was hoping to get her picture as my reward, but she gave me a cabin bookcase instead. Lolly’s been living here for 15 months, and I’m still trying to get her picture. It shouldn’t take this long. 🙁

Today, Hornsby asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Aurora, and Agent S. The first one I found was Aurora–she was behind a tree near the face-cutout standee. I then found Agent S behind Claudia’s house. Hornsby took me the longest to find, but I spotted him down on the beach, hiding behind a banana tree.

As my prize, he gave me his mop.

When I spoke with Aurora after the game, she said she felt like sunbathing in igloos!

Big Top told me that he accidentally bought an extra screwdriver.
