Claudia’s New Weapon

On Thursday night, Vivian was sitting on the metal bench to stargaze. That sounds like fun.

Vivian: Sometimes I like to sneak out here late at night and gaze up at the sky.

Today, Molly asked me if I could find her something to replace her pill bug. Re-Tail didn’t have anything good, so I went up to the Emporium. I got a bit worried though, when I saw Claudia shopping for an axe!

Claudia shops for an axe at T&T Emporium.

She is clearly escalating our feud. I wonder if Nook’s Homes can install some armor on my house. I don’t feel safe with an axe-wielding Claudia running loose.

Anyway, I spent over 2,000 bells on an effects rack for Molly, but she said it wouldn’t work out. So I just went out and caught her a common butterfly. She really seemed to love it!

Molly: Hee hee hee! I get the feeling that Ms. Common Butterfly and I will be very happy together!

For my reward, she gave me the old pill bug!

Molly: Oh! In exchange, let me give you the pill bug I was using.

I ended my night with a Saturday night performance by K.K. Slider at Club LOL. He played Café K.K. for me, Tom, and Daisy.

Lolly’s Birthday

Last night, Vivian was standing right next to Rolf when she asked me to make a delivery to him.

Vivian: Oh, and one more thing... Deliver it before the end of the day, OK?

She gave me until the rest of the day, but obviously, I didn’t need that long. She did start to walk away, though, as I handed Rolf the item (which was a dapper tee, by the way).

Rolf: Huh? It's something I left over at Vivian's place?

Today, Molly told me that she was really good at drawing circles. I thought that was an odd piece of dialogue, but then it occurred to me: This is a hint for April Fools’ Day, which is coming up next Monday.

Molly: Everyone says I'm really good at drawing circles. You're not surprised to hear that, are you?

It’s Lolly’s birthday, so I made sure to attend her birthday party! Rolf was also at her house to help her celebrate.

Lolly: Yay, you came to celebrate with me! I'm so glad you're here, chap.

Rolf told me that Lolly will probably enjoy any gift I give her…as long as it’s not old socks. Yeah, I can’t blame her for not wanting that.

Rolf: Well, unless you just give her old socks again. Yeah, I don't know why, but people never go for that one...

So I gave Lolly something I picked up at Re-Tail…a satellite! At least my gift revolves around Lolly! 😛

Lolly: Ooh, a satellite. How thoughtful of you. Thanks!

She seemed to like it, and she certainly enjoyed her birthday party.

Lolly: I wish every day was my birthday. Not just for the cake, but because I get to spend it with you two!

Outside, Vivian gave me a black track jacket for free.

Vivian: I'm getting rid of some stuff, and I thought you might like my black track jacket.
Just don’t expect to get your bloody black track jacket back…

And with St. Patrick’s Day over and March winding down, I decided to get my hair done. I’m back to brown hair now, and the mohawk has been put into storage.

Harriet: Ta-daaaa! ...Yep, you look bot
J-bot?

Shamrock Day 2019

Claudia asked to visit my house today, and I agreed to let her come over for some reason. She seemed to like my astro CD player, and she used the opportunity to tell me that she likes R&B because she’s a classy tiger.

Claudia: I listen to a lot of R&B music at home. And that's because I'm one classy tiger.

But it didn’t take long for her rudeness to shine through. She complained that my walls didn’t have anything hanging on them, and she quoted a magazine to talk about how dull that is.

Claudia: Well, Chic Tiger Monthly says a blank wall is as dull as an empty floor.

Upstairs, she said that my frog room is “SO” me. Is she saying I’m a frog? I may be green, but I’m not a frog.

Claudia: Jeff, this room is SO you!

And in the basement, she complained that I had a piece of furniture facing the wall. That would be my customized juicy-apple TV. It looks really cool facing the wall, because it just looks like a giant, golden apple!

Claudia: Furniture...facing the wall? Hmm. Very clever. That should help keep your secrets, ooh la la!
Why did I ever agree to let her in my house?

Today is Shamrock Day (better known as St. Patrick’s Day), and there was a holiday face-cutout standee at the event plaza.

Jeff the leprechaun.
Leprechaun magic!

Isabelle was also nearby, handing out shamrock hats. I put it on, even though I was already dressed up for the day anyway. 😛

Lolly was being cute, as usual. She said that she ate some Shamrock Day cookies that turned her tongue green!

Lolly: I ate some special Shamrock Day cookies earlier. I think my tongue is still green from the frosting!

But then she called me a bell-pincher again. Ugh. I can’t shake this label no matter what I do! I even bought some expensive furniture from Claudia yesterday, and nothing seems to help.

But speaking of Claudia, I’ve been getting a little tired of her rudeness. So I did something I haven’t done in New Leaf lately: I got a pitfall seed out and buried her!

Claudia stuck in a pitfall.
Take that!

My recent dream visitors have been Beatrice from Bread and Wolfgang from Rainbow. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your Shamrock Day!
