Shamrock Day 2019

Claudia asked to visit my house today, and I agreed to let her come over for some reason. She seemed to like my astro CD player, and she used the opportunity to tell me that she likes R&B because she’s a classy tiger.

Claudia: I listen to a lot of R&B music at home. And that's because I'm one classy tiger.

But it didn’t take long for her rudeness to shine through. She complained that my walls didn’t have anything hanging on them, and she quoted a magazine to talk about how dull that is.

Claudia: Well, Chic Tiger Monthly says a blank wall is as dull as an empty floor.

Upstairs, she said that my frog room is “SO” me. Is she saying I’m a frog? I may be green, but I’m not a frog.

Claudia: Jeff, this room is SO you!

And in the basement, she complained that I had a piece of furniture facing the wall. That would be my customized juicy-apple TV. It looks really cool facing the wall, because it just looks like a giant, golden apple!

Claudia: Furniture...facing the wall? Hmm. Very clever. That should help keep your secrets, ooh la la!
Why did I ever agree to let her in my house?

Today is Shamrock Day (better known as St. Patrick’s Day), and there was a holiday face-cutout standee at the event plaza.

Jeff the leprechaun.
Leprechaun magic!

Isabelle was also nearby, handing out shamrock hats. I put it on, even though I was already dressed up for the day anyway. 😛

Lolly was being cute, as usual. She said that she ate some Shamrock Day cookies that turned her tongue green!

Lolly: I ate some special Shamrock Day cookies earlier. I think my tongue is still green from the frosting!

But then she called me a bell-pincher again. Ugh. I can’t shake this label no matter what I do! I even bought some expensive furniture from Claudia yesterday, and nothing seems to help.

But speaking of Claudia, I’ve been getting a little tired of her rudeness. So I did something I haven’t done in New Leaf lately: I got a pitfall seed out and buried her!

Claudia stuck in a pitfall.
Take that!

My recent dream visitors have been Beatrice from Bread and Wolfgang from Rainbow. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your Shamrock Day!

Mohawk vs. Claudia

My newest neighbor Claudia was complaining about spaghetti slurpers last week. I already think I don’t like her.

Claudia: I hope you don't slurp when you eat spaghetti, Jeff. Urgh! It just drives me up the wall!
Claudia: Are you serious? You're one of those infernal spaghetti slurpers? You guys drive me nuts!

Boots sent me a club tee in the mail, and that gave me a reminder (and a head-start) to put my Mohawk McClover outfit together. So I dyed my hair green and put on my mohawk wig. If you’re new to the blog, I dress up as this character every March (ahead of St. Patrick’s Day).

Today, Rolf was sitting on the metal bench in town, and he invited me to join in.

Claudia was not a fan of my new mohawk. Likewise, Mohawk was not a fan of my new Claudia.

Claudia: I'll never understand that hairstyle, Jeff. I know it makes me seem old, but I don't care.

The worst part about Claudia is that I seem to be stuck with her. Since she is the 10th resident, she won’t move out randomly until someone else moves out first…unless I use an Amiibo to kick her out. But I’d rather not add a 4th Amiibo villager to my town, since they never want to leave. And there’s no one else that I really want to get rid of right now. So this is quite a predicament. I guess I’ll just put up with her for now.

I recently made a new Animal Crossing themed level in Super Mario Maker. It follows K.K. Slider’s journey in the series, from the train station in GameCube to The Roost in WW/CF, and to Club LOL in New Leaf. Please give it a watch, and if you have Super Mario Maker, feel free to play the level for yourself!

My recent dream visitors have been Drago33 from Devon, Eli from Da Dingl, Jasmine from Tortuga, and Nijiiro from Downtown. Also, Lolly mentioned dreaming of David from Pancakia. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good weekend!

Hidden Tiger

I got a Manneken Pis from Gulliver recently, and I put it up for sale at Re-Tail. Yesterday, Agent S couldn’t wait to buy it!

Agent S: Excuse me! I'd like to buy this, please.
I think she’s blushing under her visor.

Outside, Lolly couldn’t control her enthusiasm for books.

Lolly: I wonder which books are out there waiting for me... Oh! Be still, my beating heart!

I was quite surprised to find a new house plot near the Roost. And today, the new villager moved in: Claudia the tiger. Honestly, I’m not very familiar with her. I haven’t seen much of her in the game.

Claudia: Well, good to meet you, Jeff. My name's Claudia. And I just moved here from Muffy.

She came over from Merka’s town Muffy. And Merka just informed me that she got my former resident, Bones. I think I lost that trade.

In other news, today is Festivale! That’s the day that Pavé the peacock comes to town, confetti and feathers rain down from the sky, and villagers dress up in silly hats.

Molly: Today's the celebration of dance and music called Festivale! Don't be shy! Just dance and have fun!

Lolly looked particularly cute in her hat.

Lolly: I'm not really the best at dancing with the beat...but that won't stop me from dancing to my own rhythm!

I said hello to Pavé, and he gave me the whole song and dance.

Pave: VIVA...FESTIVALE!

He wanted me to collect green feathers for him, but I didn’t feel like going through all that. Honestly, Festivale is a bit of a pain. 😛 But I did find a rainbow feather floating around, so I made sure to catch it.

Yippeeeee! I got a rainbow feather! These are extremely rare!

Unlike the regular feathers, you can give Pavé a rainbow feather at any time and receive a piece of Pavé furniture in return. My prize was a Pavé table.

Pave: GIVE IT TO PAVE! GIVE IT NOW!

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors have been Alexyss from Smolbean, Marcus from Ohio, Lucy from ★★★★☆, and B.D. from Cannton. Thanks for visiting!
