Nature Day 2025

On April 13th, I found a lost mitten on the beach (near the western ramp). I later returned it to its owner, Jeremiah. He said he could even smell the french fries he ate the last time he wore it!

Jeremiah: Mm hmm! This is my mitten, all right! I can smell the french fries I ate last time I wore it!

Okay, but how do you eat french fries with mittens on?! Anyway, he rewarded me with a security tee.

Two days later, Aurora asked me for a new catchphrase. I told her to say “not much,” and she said she was going to use it all the time…not much. 😉

Aurora: I'm going to use it all the time. Not much, not much!
Two truths and a lie.

She also asked what she could do for me…not much? 😆

Aurora: Hi, old dog! What can I do for you, not much?

On Friday, Gulliver was down on the beach. He was talking about samurai and ninjas, so I knew he was headed to Japan.

Gulliver: I'll head off to Japan to experience some of everything! But not wasabi. That stuff's HOT!

When I played again yesterday, I got a pagoda in the mail from Gulliver. I later gave it to Mira when she asked for some new furniture. (In return, she gave me an odd clock.)

Today is Nature Day (aka Earth Day), and Isabelle was at the town plaza for the occasion. She was giving out cool globes.

Isabelle: Since today is Nature Day, I'm sure you're thinking about our town's environment even more than usual!

There was also a face-cutout standee for the event. I tried to get Inkwell to join me for a photo, but he didn’t stick around long enough.

Jeff, and the back of Inkwell's head, in the Nature Day faceboard.

But a bit later, Lolly came over. It wasn’t a perfect fit either, but at least I could see part of her face through the cutout.

Lolly and Jeff use the cutout standee for Nature Day (Earth Day) in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (ACNL) for Nintendo 3DS.

Inkwell told me he was thinking of replacing his cyclommatus stag; that’s a rare bug! So I gave him the odd clock that I got from Mira. He loved it!

Inkwell: Wow! An odd clock! It's perfect!

Even though I was hoping for the bug in return, he gave me a modern wood table instead. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I’ll be back with another entry before the end of the month, so I hope to see you all then! Never Stop Crossing!

The Lolly-Pop Gift

Yesterday was Lolly’s birthday, and I made sure to attend her birthday party. I gave her a candy jar, so that she could eat some lolly-pops. 🍭

Lolly: Ooh, a candy jar. How thoughtful of you. Thanks!

Rolf was also at her party, but he only seemed to be thinking of himself. Come on, Rolf, it’s Lolly’s day!

Rolf: I'm starting to worry whether I'll get anyone at MY inevitable party. You think anyone will show up?
You’ll have one friend at your party, just like everyone else.

There was a tent at the campsite, and I found Derwin the duck inside. He’s kinda cute…in an unconventional way.

Derwin: I pretty much just decided to camp here on a whim, but it ended up being an awesome decision!

Today, Lolly sent me a letter thanking me for the birthday gift. She sent me something, too: a trash bin! Hmm, is this a sign that she didn’t like the candy? 😛

Mira asked me for some new furniture, and she said anything would be fine. So I gave her a sloppy sink that I had in my pockets. (I already have another one in storage.)

Mira: Oh! A sloppy sink? Good call!

In return, she gave me a robo-stereo. 🤖

There was another camper today, and this time it was Monique. She was one of my mortal enemies from the early days of my GameCube town. Yuck, no thanks.

Monique, at the campsite: I wouldn't call it a midlife crisis. But I feel like I need to make a change.

I found a lost item (a bag) on the ground today, and I never would have guessed what was inside: It contained petunia protein shakes that belonged to Boots!

Boots: My new petunia protein shakes are gonna beef me up like never before!

He gave me a nice bug zapper as my reward.

Cube told me that he dreamed about me eating sauerkraut until I swelled up like a balloon! That’s pretty much what happens with all the gas that sauerkraut gives you! 😆

Cube: In my dream last night, you were eating sauerkraut until your belly swelled up like a balloon!

He was worried, but also a bit jealous. 😆

Cube: I was all worried for you. But I was also kind of jealous, on Toy Day.

He also asked me to catch a pill bug for him. It didn’t take me long to track one down, and Cube gave me a natty tee in return.

Before wrapping up my game for the day, I put my money into my savings account. My balance has reached 133 million bells.

Your current balance is 133,000,000 bells.

Yesterday, I posted a video of eight things I’d like to see in the next Animal Crossing game. Of course, multiplayer games (like the tours in New Leaf) made my list. I hope you’ll check out the full list:

Happy Birthday, Hornsby!

On Monday, I found a gem rock while looking for the money rock. I’m always struck by how pretty and colorful these are. I hope they return in a future game!

Colorful gems pop out of a rock.

It was my first time playing in March, so I was a bit amused when Inkwell told me I march to my own beat. Of course, he said it in his own unique way.

Inkwell: You just kinda march to the rhythm of your own treadmill, don't ya?
I may just do that.

It was Shamrock Day (St. Patrick’s Day), so I headed to the event plaza. I stuck my face through the face-cutout standee. I’m an angry leprechaun! ☘️

Jeff the leprechaun.

And of course, Isabelle was there in her green outfit. She was handing out shamrock hats, and I promptly put mine on my head.

Wearing my shamrock hat that Isabelle gave me.

My villagers all acknowledged my hat, as I found out while talking to Cube by the…cube. (Sculpture.)

Cube: Are you enjoying Shamrock Day? We're all about greenery today, on Toy Day!

Today (March 20th) is Hornsby’s birthday! I stopped up at T&T Emporium and bought a couple of fortune cookies. One of them was a winner, and I got a kart. Wahoo!

Tommy: Ah, congratulations! The prize for Number 32 is great--a kart!

I bought some wrapping paper and wrapped up the kart before heading to Hornsby’s house. I gave it to the birthday boy, and he said he didn’t expect it. That doesn’t exactly sound like he loved it, but he should! It’s a go-kart! 😆

Hornsby, at his birthday party: A kart?! Whoa! I did NOT expect this.

My buddy Boots was also at the party, having a good time.

Boots: Hornsby looks like he's really happy. I'm glad, in a swamp!

It was nice, but there’s not a whole lot to do at these parties after you hand over a gift and talk a few times. So after a few moments, I was on my way. Happy birthday, Hornsby! 🎂

Cube was planning on leaving town, but I promptly made him change his mind. He’s not allowed to leave until I get his photo. 😛
