Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog
Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in!

Day 11

Isabelle was in the office again today, and she gave me the choice to work on a hospital or a cafe. But I wasn't required to do those; I was still free to find a client out on the street if I'd rather do that. The hospital has three parts to it, so that will definitely be a time consuming project. I'll save that for a day when I start playing earlier in the day. For now, I chose to do the cafe.

As you'd expect, this project unlocks a lot of food products to use. I put in two large booths (using natural benches for seating), and then a smaller table with two chairs by the door. So my cafe seats ten guests, even though I was only required to seat four. Of course, I put some delicious food on the tables...including some tacos! Here are my pictures of the cafe, including the exterior I chose:

The code to visit my cafe is 0998-7721-364. When I returned to the office, I sat at my desk for another lesson from the handbook. I took the custom designs lesson, and I can now create patterns to use in my house designs. Nice!

Day 12

I decided to take a break from public facilities and find a new client out on Main Street. Frita the sheep was out there, and she wanted to turn her home into a fast-food joint! So of course her house had to be red and yellow. (No McReason in particular). And there just happened to be some golden arches made out of flowers in her yard.

I quickly realized I would be using some of the same furniture items I just used in the cafe! I used the same tables and benches once again, although with less variety in the food: Mostly burgers, fries, and coffee. By the look on her face, I think Frita liked it! You can visit her house with the code 0106-7721-494 if you'd like!

Before finishing up my day, I studied the handbook to learn another lesson. I chose "Even More Designs," and it unlocked the sewing machine upstairs. This allows me to make long-sleeved shirts and dresses. More importantly, I can now use QR codes! There is already a section here on JVGS for QR Codes you can use. Even though the ones listed there were intended for New Leaf, Happy Home Designer can read them perfectly too! This greatly expands the amount of variety we can use in the homes we design!

One last note: I've put together a Happy Home Designer Appearance Guide. If you don't know how to unlock the styling machine, or just want to see what all the faces and hairstyles look like, check it out!

Thanks for visiting! I'll see you next time!
