Dreaming of Lilliput

I recently made a dream visit to Lola’s town of Lilliput at dream address 6600-3140-1421. (Update: the new address is 6B00-0010-6C05). And it is a beautiful town!

Town hall in Lilliput. There are colorful flowers everywhere you go, and the paths look really good too.

The fountain in Lilliput.I think it’s one of the best-looking towns I’ve seen.

Back in Forest today, Beth came over momentarily to use my garbage can. She had some leftover tickets from Bunny Day that she couldn’t get rid of.

Beth dropped by Forest for a brief visit.I decided to change my path to a different green brick path…the one that I’ve been using in City Folk. I’ve taken a shine to it.

QR code for my green brick path.It has also been added to the QR Codes page, which has been a bit more active than usual lately. I’ll be adding some more of my ACCF patterns in the coming days and weeks, so keep an eye out for that.

My recent dream visitors have been Rosella from Roselush, Beclien from Sweetvil, Rina from Hibiskus, and Tom from Shinha. Thank you all for stopping by. See you next time!

Bunny Day 2016

Late last night, I visited the dream town of Fishburg (dream address 4600-4718-6634). It’s a space colony on another planet–one that’s in the process of being terraformed. I’ve written a full Dream Suite Adventure of my visit there, so please check that out. But I will post one bonus picture here…this is the campsite (which functions as a landing pad when supplies are delivered).

Landing pad and a geyser in Fishburg. It’s a great (and unique) dream town; I recommend giving it a visit.

Back in Forest, today is Bunny Day…also known as Easter. Since I’ve already collected the full set of egg furniture before, I wasn’t going to put much effort into doing it again.

But since the furniture is fairly valuable (9,000 bells per piece), I did collect the eggs that I happened to see buried (or embedded in extra rocks) along the way. And I shook a few trees, too–but I didn’t do any fishing, diving, or slingshotting. If you’d like more information on how it all works, check out my Bunny Day Guide.

Zipper: Let's look for eggs! Let's look for eggs! They're hiding, so hunt if you dare!Zipper: It's an egg clock!

When I went into the police station, Copper gave me some very good news: He said that Phineas was in town!

Copper: I saw Phineas a little while ago.I started searching for him, and I found him just south of the event plaza. He complimented me on my ability to search the ocean floor; he gave me the Dive Master badge!

I got the Dive Master badge! Need a diver? I'm your guy! It’s a gold badge, which means I don’t need to go diving any more! Unless I’m trying to get a Pascal item or something. That is great news! Here is an updated look at all of my badges:

My badges as of March 27, 2016.

Sadly, my egg hunt didn’t go as well as my Phineas hunt. The vast majority of eggs I found only contained candy. So I ended up getting only three pieces of egg furniture and an egg wall to sell at a future date (once furniture or wallpaper is the premium item).

My sad Bunny Day haul.Technically, I also won four grand prize tickets…but those are only good for pictures of Zipper T. Bunny. That only comes out to 40 bells in total!

Since I have those other items on the ground outside of Re-Tail, I didn’t upload my dream town today. But my recent dream visitors have been Emily from Emily and Ben from Sunvale. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’re having (or had) a good Easter! See you next time!

The View from Down Under

Dizzy came up to me today and told me that he smelled a yellow butterfly! Wow, how good is his sniffer if he can not only smell a butterfly, but know what color it is? Impressive.

Dizzy: I smell a yellow butterfly. It's yours, isn't it?
He gave me a mint shirt for it.

Up at Able Sisters, I saw a checkerboard tee for sale. Since I wasn’t wearing any regular clothes lately (just a pattern), I decided to buy it and put it on. This is one of several shirts I sometimes wear in the GameCube game.

Mabel: The rock 'n' roll vibe of the checkerboard tee is nice, right?Pashmina asked me for some fruit tonight. She gave an interesting reason for not being able to get it herself: She said a recent bee sting had a negative impact on her tree-shaking skills. Hey, at least she tried to come up with a decent excuse.

Pashmina: Thing is, I got stung by a bee the other day... It's really had a negative impact on my tree-shakin' skills.I gave her a perfect cherry, and she gave me a polka-dot dresser in return.

Merka came over tonight and we went on a giant dragonfly tour. We had no trouble catching the 20 bugs we needed for 20 medals (plus a bonus). After that, Merka and I decided to do some glitching. We glitched onto the tracks, off the bridge, and into the void.

Glitching in the void with Merka.

We explored under the town, including a look at an unconscious Gulliver. I never bothered to wake him up.

Gulliver sleeping all alone on the beach. You can get some really nice photos from down there, because there aren’t any human characters getting in the way. Here are pictures I took of Peck, the police station, and my fountain.

Peck.Close-up view of the modern police station. The fountain in Forest.I also took this unusual picture of my gold roses and my path. The weird part is that you can’t see the ground.

My gold roses and green path...but no ground!I returned to solid ground by accident; I stumbled into my pitfall that I had buried on my private beach. After being underground for so long, coming out of a hole in the sand felt like I was being born. I guess that makes me a son of a beach.

I’ll need to remember to replace that pitfall tomorrow, so that new pitfalls won’t pop up around town. When Merka was done exploring, I dug a hole on the beach so she could be born too. Congratulations, it’s a Merka!

Merka's baby picture.Since Merka “accidentally” killed one of my gold roses, we purposely disconnected when we were done instead of saving and quitting. She invited me over to her town for a bit while she worked on her town. While there, I found a lost item on the ground. I tried to see if I could find its owner, but it wouldn’t let me.

...I bet it belongs to someone from town. I wouldn't want to mistakenly take it home, so I'll just leave it.Merka has a lot of flowers in her town; Bribs is looking good! It doesn’t get much more colorful than this.

Flowers in Bribs. As Merka werked worked, I went around catching butterflies and talking to her villagers.

Muffy: I'm Muffy! Just Muffy! No title necessary!I offered to help out by digging up many of the buried items she had around town. I found quite a few gyroids!

Gyroids piled up outside of Re-Tail.Once it was time for Merka to have lunch (she’s 14 hours ahead of me), she ended the session and I returned home. Before ending my night, I put a large glowing ornament on top of my Christmas tree. Okay, not exactly. 😛

Moon on top of a tree.Remember, Bunny Day (aka Easter) is coming up on Sunday. If you need a refresher on how it works, check out my Bunny Day Guide. And if you’re interested, Beth has submitted a nice bunny path to the QR Codes page.

Also, stay tuned to JVGS in the next few days. I’ll be posting a new Amiibo Festival blog entry on Jeff’s Gaming Blog and I’ll also be posting a new Dream Suite Adventure! I’ll be visiting a very cool and unique town! See you soon!
