NEW LEAF BLOG

Jeff's Tomodachi Life Blog

This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 2: Dreams

In a newsflash, Miss Piggy informed me that the observation tower is now open.

I went to go take a look at it, but my viewpoint wasn't quite what I expected. Instead of looking out over the island, I can only look inward, at the Miis visiting the tower. Also, it's fenced off like a prison. Tobias was up there enjoying the view, but he looked like a frightened inmate to me.

I made a Zoidberg Mii (from Futurama), but he seemed bothered by his hairstyle (or lack of hair).

Nighttime came, and many of my Miis were sleeping. When they're asleep, you can't interact with them like you usually can. But there are still things to do; most notably, you can sneak a peek at their dreams! Tobias dreamed that he was a bobblehead on a dashboard, as Alien and Miss Piggy were driving to an unknown destination. It was a pretty creepy dream.

When it's over, the Mii will wake up, glad that it was all just a dream. But there is something else you can do to a sleeping Mii: You can draw on their face!

Naturally, I colored him blue. Maybe he can join the Blue Man Group now!

My own Mii was sleeping too, so I decided to check on Jeff's dream. Three Miis were hiding on a dock from a giant underwater Lindsay (Lind-Sea Monster?). When giant Lindsay popped up, the Miis would duck down. When Lindsay went back underwater, the Miis popped back up.

Mr. Bean was dreaming of having long, flowing hair and swishing it all around. Here is a video that shows that dream, as well as my dream about Lindsay, and a newsflash of Zoidberg informing me that a pawn shop is now available. (open on Youtube)

And before I finished playing for the night, I made Darth Vader move into the apartment complex. I gave him a very deep voice of course, so that should be entertaining whenever he talks...or sings! I need to start leveling up more of my characters, so they can start singing at the concert hall.

See you all next time!

Notes: Nintendo has graciously provided me with an advance copy of Tomodachi Life. Thanks, Nintendo! All Miis shown were made by me or my friends and are not in the game by default.
