Blind Knight

On Sunday, Bonbon the bunbun bunny was camping at the campsite. I didn’t ask her to move in, though I did want to take her sandwich. 😉

Bonbon, at the campsite: Hi there! I'm Bonbon! I'm here on a camping trip! You live on this island? Tres cool.

On Tuesday, a message bottle surprised me by actually having a D.I.Y. recipe that I still needed! It was for a fancy mum wreath. I wonder how many more recipes I still need! Probably not many.

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for a fancy mum wreath!

The rainy season must be here now, because it’s been raining almost every day lately. And the few days that it’s not raining, I have to dig up all the new flower buds all over town from the previous day’s rain. I hate it. 😡

Digging up flower buds behind Rio's back.

Today, I bought a cup of coffee at the Roost. And you know how you close your eyes when you take a big drink? Well, having your eyes closed looks especially odd when you’re wearing a suit of armor. 💀

Me, eyeless and holding up a cup of coffee: And that's how I like it!
Drinking hot coffee through those little holes must be uncomfortable too.

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week or so:

  • Last Saturday, K.K. performed K.K. D&B for me and Bob.
  • On Monday, I returned a lost item to Punchy. He rewarded me with a baby-chick costume.
  • Ankha was sick with a cold on Tuesday, so I gave her medicine. In return, she gave me a soft-serve hat.
  • I helped out Gullivarrr on Wednesday, and he sent me a pirate-treasure chest on Thursday. That’s one of his better items. 👍
  • Flick was in town yesterday, and I sold him three tarantulas for 36,000 bells.

I’ll be posting my next New Horizons Moments video this weekend, so keep an eye out for it! 🙂

Cornering the Stalk Market

On Sunday morning, I bought 2,200 turnips from Daisy Mae, at a price of 93 bells each. I also picked up 50 more turnips from Joan at the hospital on Monday.

On Tuesday, Klaus was camping a the campsite. This was his 2nd time camping here (the first was in 2022). I still don’t want him here. 😛

Klaus: Like...I might invent a new dance move! Or a daring new type of veggie stew!

Yesterday morning, the Nooklings were paying 247 bells for turnips. So I gathered up all all that I had, and I sold them for 555k!

Timmy: And done! I can buy these from you for a total of 555,750 bells. Sound good?
YE555!

After the sale, I heard some beeping, and I knew what that meant: I completed the “Cornering the Stalk Market” Nook Miles achievement! Finally!

Cornering the Stalk Market - Nook Achievement complete!
I probably won’t be buying many turnips from now on.

This means the only achievement I still need to complete is the “Popular Pen Pal” one. I just need to write 67 more letters for that one. 😆 I may have to force myself to write some letters. Otherwise, it would probably take years.

Today, I found a scallop while diving…and of course, Pascal wasn’t far behind. He told me about his problem with water bottles and chip bags…and his soggy solution.

Pascal: Water bottles are too full. Chip bags are too empty. I've tried to fix this, but my chips keep getting soggy.

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me model a fairy tale outfit. She suggested things like knights, princesses, and storybook characters. She gave me a thief’s costume to use as an example, but I instead went with a knight’s outfit.

Me, dressed as a knight in a suit of armor, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch.

She loved the look, and she rewarded me with a Labelle coat.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • Last Saturday, Dodo Airlines sent me my nine bell vouchers (from the May Day tour), and Rover sent me Rover’s briefcase.
  • On Sunday, I caught a coelacanth in the rain. 🙂
  • Flick was in town yesterday, and I sold him 30 bugs for 133,500 bells. 🤑

Have a good weekend, and I’ll see you next time! 🙂

May Day Maze 2024

Now that May is here, we’re starting to get more of the summer bugs around. I caught my first banded dragonfly of the year on Wednesday.

Me, catching a banded dragonfly: I did

Last night, June asked me to play a treasure hunt game. She only gave me three minutes, but I only needed about half that long. It was near my southeastern bridge.

Treasure found! I found treasure!

I took it back to June, and she opened it up for me. My prize was a hand-knit tank. I’ll never wear it, but thank you June! 😆

Poppy the squirrel was camping at the campsite. She’s super cute, but I didn’t ask her to move in.

Poppy: Hi, my name's Poppy. I'm her

The annual May Day tour is available this week, so I headed out to the special island today. There are two different May Day mazes in the game, and they alternate each year. This year’s maze is the same one we got in 2020 and 2022.

The May Day maze for 2024 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH).

I made my way through the maze, and I got lost a few times. 😛 But at least I didn’t mess up and didn’t have to restart the maze. At the end, I found my old buddy Rover. It’s nice to see him again, even if it’s just once a year in this game.

Rover: Ah, so we meet again! Something told me I'd run into you here...
Your expression says otherwise, but okay.

I made sure to collect all nine of the bell vouchers before returning to Forest.

Here are a few other quick notes about this past week:

  • June was sick with a cold on Tuesday. I gave her some medicine, and she rewarded me with a simple parka.
  • That same day, Wisp gave me a simple stool.
  • Yesterday, I retrieved Gulliver’s phone parts for him. He sent me another sombrero in the mail today.

Have a good weekend, everyone! I’ll see you next time. 🙂
