Toy Day Week

On Tuesday, Pascal popped up from under the sea to ask for my scallop. He also complained about people who ask if a hot dog is a sandwich. 😛

Pascal: People gota stop asking if a hot dog is a sandwich. Just eat your lunch, maaan.

He then gave me a pearl for my scallop.

Wednesday was Toy Day (Christmas Eve), and Louie told me he wanted to spell out “Hi Santa” in the snow. Louie, no!!

Louie: I've been jogging a bunch of extra laps today. I wanna spell out Hi, Santa! in the snow, I'm cranky.

I then met up with Jingle outside of Resident Services. After I crafted three sheets of wrapping paper for him, it was time to start making deliveries!

Jingle: That's right, kid. How'd you like to help me deliver Toy Day presents?

He gave me Santa’s magic bag, and I changed into my Santa outfit (even though it wasn’t necessary). I began delivering toys to my villagers, even the bad ones like Static. (Just kidding, Static.)

Static: Oh, it's from Santa? Don't that beat all... My friend workin' for Santa himself...

June was so cute when I handed over her gift. (Although she’s always pretty cute regardless.)

June: Is this gift for little old me?

And Ankha’s catchphrase made her sound like…well, Ankha. 😛

Ankha: A gift? From Santa, but delivered by you? What a charming surprise, I hate it!

A few of my villagers gave me gifts in return. The process of delivering gifts is pretty quick and easy, and Jingle ultimately rewarded me with a Toy Day sleigh.

Jingle: And then...something extra special... Your very own Toy Day sleigh!

On Christmas Day, Static and June spent the whole day outside of Resident Services, just staring at the Christmas tree, while also whistling, daydreaming, and singing. 😛

Flick was in town, so I sold him a dozen bugs (mostly wasps and dung beetles) for exactly 51,000 bells.

Yesterday, Klaus the bear was camping at the campsite…for the third time. He needs to get the message already: I don’t want him here. 😛

Klaus, at the campsite: Heya! Are you from around here? I'm kinda on vacation, just relaxing and focus-grouping a few things...

And tonight, an unusually large crowd joined me for K.K. Slider’s show. Bob, Peanut, Merengue, and Agent S were also in attendance as K.K. played “K.K. Chorale” for us all.

The Cat in Red

Last Saturday, Kid Cat was visiting Peanut as I returned a lost book to Peanut. She was shocked to see her autograph book again, and I loved the contrast with Kid Cat’s expression in the background.

Peanut: I totes thought I'd, like, never see my autograph book again. It's so wild that you found it!

She rewarded me with a fast-food cap.

The next day, Kid Cat gave me a festive wreath to put on my door.

Kid cat: Ho ho hiya! It's a festive wreath! Pretty awesome, huh?

He said my festive spirit is going to look ripped, and it will also let the “guy in red” know where to leave presents.

Kid Cat: It's also good for letting the guy in red know where to leave presents.
I think you’re the guy in red, at the moment.

I took it home and displayed it on my front door right away.

On Monday, my savings balance reached a new milestone: 130 million bells. 💰

Savings Balance: 130,000,000 bells.

On Tuesday, I found June and Peanut sitting by a fire outside of Resident Services. I joined them for a few minutes to get warm. 🔥

Tonight, Ankha joined me for a K.K. Slider performance of “K.K. Safari.”

Yesterday, I posted a short video of winter vibes throughout the Animal Crossing series. It includes several New Horizons clips, and the older games as well. I hope you’ll check it out!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! 🎄

Unhappy Snowboy

On Wednesday, Nan the goat was camping at my campsite. She’s nice, and I’ve had her in New Leaf before (back in 2014). But I didn’t ask her to move in here.

Nan, at the campsite: I'm Nan, by the way.

I caught a scallop while diving, and Pascal popped up to ask for it. He shared some words of wisdom about time, and he wondered why we don’t give something back to time. I’m not sure how exactly that would work, but I’m sure it makes sense to him.

Pascal: Time is a sweetheart, always gifting you with the present. When do we give it something back, maaan?

He gave me a pearl in exchange for the scallop.

As of Thursday (December 11th), snow now covers the ground on the island. I made my first snowman snowboy of the winter tonight. He wasn’t happy with his appearance though, unfortunately.

Outside of Resident Services, I joined Ankha for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Milonga” for us.

Here are some other quick notes about this week in Forest:

  • On Tuesday, I gave medicine to a sick Louie. He rewarded me with a baji jeogori.
  • Bones asked me to catch a damselfly for him, so I did. In return, he gave me a flower sweater.
  • I scored 30,000 bells from a balloon present on Wednesday.
  • I changed my town tune to the Metroid find-item jingle. (See the notes here.)
  • I helped out Gulliver Thursday, and he sent me another sombrero.
  • Yesterday, I sold 20 bugs (mostly wasps) to Flick for 87,750 bells.

See you next time! Never Stop Crossing!
