Yesterday, I was surprised to hear Chief asking Maple if she’s seeing anyone right now!

Maple said no, and she even said she’s never had a boyfriend.

So she asked Chief if he has a girlfriend. He deflected the question, saying girlfriends are something you want until you actually have one. 🤷

Today, Mom sent me a letter telling me about a plant that is said to bring happiness. She said it’s called the corn plant.

She sent a dracaena attached to the letter.

Frobert tried to teach me how to catch bugs. I guess he doesn’t know I’ve already caught them all, and don’t need tips.

Truffles told me that she just bought a trendy plastic bottle. That sounds exciting. 🥱

But she said it’s hard to use, so she doesn’t like it. How can a bottle be that hard to use, though? 🤔

Pippy asked me to deliver a gift (a paw shirt) to Whitney. Even though Whitney seemed to like it, she didn’t put it on (which made me think she didn’t like as much as she claimed). When I returned to Pippy, she rewarded me with something she said was my favorite thing: a toilet!

Yesterday, Truffles told me that slimy creatures really “barf her out.” This came out of nowhere, so I didn’t know what she was talking about.

But then she followed up by saying that even if she caught a goldfish, she would never touch it. I can’t fault her for that.

I found a new house in town, in the same spot where Tank previously lived. Inside, I found Maple the cute bear!

Of course I also have Maple in my GameCube town, but it’s good to see her here as well! Welcome to Forest, Maple! 🍁

Today, Maple was already trying to sell me something, a shanty wall. She wanted 1,090 bells for it, but I declined the offer. She said she’d bet that Villager would buy it from her! She hasn’t even met Villager, so how would she even know?

When I checked the recycle bin at town hall, I found two items: a bubble gum shirt and a ranch couch.

I played again tonight (briefly), and Truffles asked me to deliver a letter to Maple. I agreed to help out, and that gave me a chance to see the inside of Maple’s house now that she’s unpacked.

She has stuffed teddy bears in her house, but it’s not as ridiculously bear-filled as her GameCube house. When I returned to Truffles, she thanked me for delivering the letter and she gave me some birch flooring.

Yesterday, I was disappointed to find a goodbye letter from Robin in the mail! She left without warning! I’m sad to see her go, but you have to play the hand you’re dealt.

The worst part is that I never earned her photo, despite her living in town for over a year! And I’ve certainly helped her out with favors, giving her blue furniture all the time. And to think, Marina gave me her pic after just three months! Oof.

Pascal was in town, and he told me to be like a river and carve my own path. I really like that one. In fact, I think it’s one of my favorite quotes of his that I’ve seen!

Today is May 1st, and I received my monthly bank statement from the postal division at town hall. I earned 98,200 bells in interest this month.

I found a note in a bottle on the beach, and it was talking about an upcoming film that cost $20 billion to make! It might be hard just to break even on that film. 😆

When I spoke with Chief, he was laughing over something he saw: He witnessed Derwin falling over! 😆 I’d be laughing too if I had seen it!

I accidentally shook an orange tree as I tried to talk to Frobert, and he said he was giving me a free ornate rug.

But he immediately changed his mind, saying it’s not my color. This guy’s been getting on my nerves lately.

I ran into Chief again, and he told me he needs to be in a big city, with people he can lead.
