Truffles the Flower?

On Thursday, Truffles asked if she once got me a double cream pie. Of course she never did such a thing!

Truffles: ...get you a double cream pie?

But she seemed sure that she had, and she was expecting me to return the favor…with interest! And double interest, at that! Yeah, right. Not gonna happen, piggy.

Truffles: You can just pay me back with double interest!

I met up with Chief outside, and he invited me to join him on a bug-catching expedition. But he made it sound like I would just be carrying his heavy gear around. 😆

Chief: You can be my assistant! I hope you like carrying heavy gear, on a pig!

It wasn’t actually a favor request at all, though. Just dialogue that went nowhere.

Yesterday, I found a note in a bottle on the beach. It was a coupon for Teddy’s Snack Shop. Maybe I can get some Teddy Grahams there. 😉

Coupon: With 20 marks, you get a discount of 500 bells! -Teddy's Snack Shop

Truffles told me that she’s awesome at giving love and attention to flowers…

Truffles: I'm awesome at giving lots of love and attention to pretty flowers!

…because she is a beautiful flower herself! Wow. 😆 And here I thought she was a pig all this time. 😉

Truffles: That's 'cause I am a pretty flower, snoutie!

I’ve got to admire her confidence…even if she is a bit delusional. 😉

Marina asked me to find some pink furniture, because she would love to have a room full of it. I didn’t tell her…but she already has a room full of pink furniture!

Marina: Wouldn't it be great to have a room full if it? YES, I'd leave room to walk!

Whitney has been sick this week, so I gave her medicine Thursday, yesterday, and again today. Hopefully she’s on track to getting better, but she thanked me for the medicine and said I look like an angel. An angel on a pig, but I’ll take any compliment I can get from her. 😛

Whitney: You look like an angel, on a pig.

I’m still getting a lot of usage out of that catchphrase! 😆

Baby Back

I felt bad for buying Maple’s family at the flea market last week, so I decided to ship her baby back to her on Wednesday.

Dear Maple, Sorry about the flea market. I should give you your baby back, baby back, baby back. -From Jeff
Barbecue sauce.

I already sold Maple’s mother, but at least she can be reunited with her baby bear. 😛

Yesterday, I found a note in a bottle on the beach. It was from “just some guy” who hopes to get a response to his note…despite not leaving an address or even a name. 😛

Hello out there! I hope someone cool reads this letter...and I hope I get a response! -Just some guy

Over by the river, I spotted a scorpion. I backed up to what I thought was a safe distance away, and got my net out. It didn’t charge at me, so I thought I was okay. The scorpion walked towards Pippy. But as a mosquito neared me and prepare to bite me, the scorpion seemingly took notice of that! It made a hard right turn and came after me! I was dead meat.

Jeff passes out after being attacked by a scorpion.

It was kind of a weird sequence. I’ll be sure to include it in a future video.

When I visited Maple, I noticed that her baby is back in her room. I’ve reunited the family! Except for grandma…only Tom Nook knows what has become of her.

Maple has her baby bear back in her room.

I played again today, and it is La-Di-Day. Chief told me that his love of music ranks up there with his love of insults. 😛

Chief: My love for music ranks right up there with my love for a good insult.

Nobody actually sang a song for me, though I certainly didn’t press the issue. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a new town tune anyway.

After making my rounds, I went to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night concert. He performed “K.K. Steppe” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Steppe!

Over at town hall, I found a paw shirt in the recycle bin. But I didn’t put it on.

Bear Sells Family

On Thursday, Truffles asked me to deliver a shirt to Maple. And…the gift got an icy reception. 😆

Maple: Oh... It appears I'm getting an icy shirt.

She tried to be nice about the gift, but she clearly wasn’t excited about it. When I returned to Truffles, she rewarded me with a basic blue bed for making the delivery.

I played again tonight, in the rain. It’s Flea Market day, and Pippy was hoping to find someone selling an edible marshmallow chair.

Pippy: Wouldn't it be SWEET if someone was selling an edible marshmallow chair?!

I’m not sure I follow the logic. Because if she’s just going to eat it anyway, why does it even need to be a chair? Just go buy a big marshmallow. 😆

But Pippy seemed to be celebrating Flea Market day in an unusual way: By having fleas!

Fleas! Fleas! Fleas! Itchy!

Whitney was also talking about the Flea Market, saying good furniture moves fast.

Whitney: Good furniture moves fast. In a way, it's just like love, on a pig.
Wait…what?

Over at Maple’s house, I wanted to see if Maple would sell me her family. She said she would think about it!

Maple: Hoo, boy... You want my Mama bear? Let me think about it.

But she didn’t think long, because she gave up her Mama bear for 600 bells!

Maple: I guess I'd sell it for 600 bells.

And that wasn’t even the worst part, because she also sold me her baby bear! And at half the price! 😆

Maple: You're interested in my Baby bear? Hm. After the discount...

I was kind of surprised she literally sold me her whole family. Does she need the bells that badly? She must be in an unbearable situation.

After that, I headed over to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Jazz” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Jazz!

Without even trying, I spotted a couple of good summer bugs tonight. I caught a goliath beetle and a rainbow stag. Enjoy bug hunting season, everyone!

I recently posted an updated version of my “Forest Quick Comparisons” video, in which I compare my Animal Crossing towns. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!
