It was raining in town, and I was okay with that. But the rain seemed to put Hopper in a poetic mood.

Static was still sick, so I gave him some medicine once again. He seemed very grateful and full of snot.
Big Top asked me what he should have for his after-dinner beverage. Before I could answer, he said RAIN…in his ears! Ew! Never drink rain water out of your own ears! Or anyone else’s ears, for that matter.
When I visited Rhonda, I saw that she was all packed up and ready to move out of town! I’m not a big fan of Rhonda or anything, but I didn’t want her to leave this early. It’s only been a month. I haven’t had a chance to bug her much yet.
I spotted Dr. Shrunk in town, and he offered to teach me a new emotion. I chose sorrow.
I took advantage of the rain by fishing for a coelacanth. And eventually, I actually caught one!
After donating it to the museum, I continued fishing and bug-catching. I didn’t catch another coelacanth, but I did catch some other valuable fish and bugs. I was finding a lot of atlas beetles in particular.
When I was done, I took the money from my catches up to town hall. I made my largest mortgage payment yet, an even 100,000 bells.

Crazy Redd was in town again, but he wasn’t of much help to me. That’s because he had the same art (the lovely painting) that he had last week! Since I already have the real one in the museum, I had no need for this one.
But then Baabara wanted to do her impression of Kiki. In her mind, Kiki apparently wants to be a “pretty princess” like Baabara! Ha!
Kiki didn’t understand, so Baabara said it was her impression of the “inner” Kiki.
This angered Kiki, and she stormed off, ending the conversation.
After making a 40,000 bell mortgage payment, I headed down to the beach for some fishing and bug-catching. I managed to find one new bug, the giant beetle.
Static was sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine. He said I was so nice to him that he regrets calling me names. 😛

Once I had spoken with all of my villagers, I went down to the beach. Going from side to side, I kept an eye out for good fish and bugs. I caught a number of good ones, and when I was done, I was able to make a whopping 65,000 bell payment on my mortgage at town hall.
After donating it to the museum, I ended my game for the night. I’d have to say it was a pretty good night. A new bug, a new shark, a large mortgage payment, and I saved Big Top. Now I’m going to go play some Splatoon 2. 🙂
