Golden Axe

I was very surprised (and happy) to see Pascal in town today! I ran back home to get my scallop and returned to him. He said it was the same scallop that he dropped in the surf. Apparently he wrote his name on it, but in ink that only he can read. Hmm, sounds a bit suspicious. 😉

Pascal: Oh, man. I forgot. I wrote it in ink that only I can see...man.

He wanted to thank me, so he asked if I dropped a golden axe or silver axe. I said I dropped a golden axe, and he called me a liar! 😮

Pascal: Ha! But I can see... you're a liar!

Now I see where Serena’s annoying dialogue in City Folk came from. But fortunately, Pascal still gave me what I’ve been waiting for: A golden axe! Yes! Mission accomplished! I now have all six golden tools in the game!

I got the golden axe! This won't ever break!

Even though I’ve now completed this goal of mine, I still plan on playing multiple times each week. There are still other prizes from the trading sequence that I want to earn, after all!

My good day got better when I saw two shark fins in the ocean, and I fished out an ocean sunfish and a regular shark. Nice!

When I spoke with Peanut, she said it was nice to live surrounded by fish. And then she turned into The Little Mermaid.

Peanut: Maybe we should live UNDER the sea! Under the sea... Yeah, just you and me...

Over by the museum, Olivia was trying to sell me a fern shirt. She asked how much I would pay for it, and I moved the slider to indicate I wouldn’t pay much. So she called me a wuss and charged me 430 bells for it.

Olivia: Wow, you're still such a big wuss, huh.
There it is! I knew I didn’t like you.
Stupid me for giving you a chance.

Rowan was packed up and ready to move away, but I told him to reconsider. Eventually, he confessed that he lost his passport, so he couldn’t move out.

I’ll be back with another entry on Saturday. Hope to see you then! 🙂

Peanut’s Pic

There was a new “Talking to Myself” message posted to the bulletin board today, and it was about the name Pelly. The author prefers more distinctive names like Pellina or Pelliford over just “Pelly.”

-Talking to Myself- What do you think of the name Pelly? I prefer more distinctive names... Like Pellina! Or Pelliford!

I have a feeling it was Phyllis that wrote this one. Because if Pelly preferred one of those names, she could just use it instead!

Right after I stepped away from the bulletin board, Peanut pinged me. She gave me her picture! 😮

Peanut: So please take this! It's my picture! Isn't it so cute, slacker?!

I was not expecting it so soon, but I will gladly take it. Thanks, Peanut! I put it in my Peanut gallery photo gallery upstairs. Her quote on the back is “This is my star smile.”

My photo gallery, now with Peanut's pic.

To celebrate, I took a photo of my Animal Crossing Danglers of Peanut (and Butch).

Butch and Peanut Animal Crossing Danglers.

Someone commented on my latest Wild World video, and asked for the notes of my current town tune. This is the town tune that Kabuki taught me on La-Di-Day last year (when he basically said it was the proudest moment of his life). Here are the notes, Eliana!

The notes of my current town tune, which I learned from Kabuki.

I visited Goldie, and she was finally over her cold. 🙂 She thanked me for the medicine, and gave me some blue flooring.

Goldie: I'm back to my normal self again, and I owe it all to you, woof.

Nookington’s had a spotlight product today, but it was just a jukebox. I already have one of those.

That’s all for today, but I’ll be back with another entry at some point between tomorrow and Saturday. Have a great day!

Country Guitar

Saharah was in town last Friday. I helped her out by making deliveries to Blathers, Pelly, and Mabel.

Pelly: Oh! It's the item I ordered from Saharah! It's finally arrived! Yippee!

Saharah offered me a meadow vista or a western desert as my reward; I chose the former.

Today, Rolf had something surprising to say about Tom Nook: He said Tom Nook reminds him of a dog! He just had trouble pinpointing why or how.

Rolf, talking about Tom Nook: No, I mean, it's not that I think he's gonna steal my food or lick my face...

Speaking of dogs, Goldie has still been sick lately. So I gave her some medicine on Friday, and then again today.

For reasons I don’t understand, Peanut greeted me in a very odd way today. She said I was like a big stick of happy TNT!

Peanut: Jumpin' jelly beans! Sunshine, you're like a big stick of happy TNT!
Oh, is there such a thing?

She was actually asking to have a fishing competition to see who could catch a frog first. Since frogs aren’t that hard to find (and you can tell by their croaking if a shadow in a pond is a frog or not), I agreed to the challenge.

A few minutes later, I caught a frog and gave it to Peanut. She confirmed that I won, but I thought it was funny the way she was holding the frog. It was just sitting there motionless, with its legs fully outstretched, like it was playing dead. 😂

Peanut: You got it already?! Y-you mean... I lose, slacker?
I think you’re the slacker. No offense.

She gave me a regal carpet as my prize for winning.

For the first time in almost two months, Wendell was in town! I gave him a red turnip that I’ve been saving for him, and he gave me a country guitar (not a turban this time)!

Wendell: Tuh-to show you how much I appreciated that, have a country guitar!

So I took it in my house to take a look at it, but it looks exactly like you’d expect. No surprises here. 😛

The country guitar.

But the good thing about it is that I can give it to K.K. Slider to get his picture on Saturday night. And that’s exactly what I plan on doing. So I’ll be back with another entry then, if not before.
