Underground Pirate Lair?

Yesterday, Robin asked me for some new clothes. I checked the lost and found, and I grabbed an orange tie-dye that was in there. Robin said that I’m beginning to understand what beauty is…so I guess that means she likes the shirt. 😛

Robin: It seems that you're beginning to understand what beauty is.

She rewarded me with 510 bells.

Whitney was also talking about fashion, but not about shirts. She wanted a fashionable alternative to a backpack or tote bag…but a fanny pack was not an acceptable choice.

Whitney: Huh? What? A fanny pack? Um, yeah... That's a great idea, all night!
Whitney, continuing: If tourist from the sticks was the look I was going for!

Curt was telling me about dig spots, which is obviously something you learn very early on in any Animal Crossing game. This seemed like a very tutorial-ish bit of dialogue…

Curt: If the ground looks weird, there's probably something buried there, on my Wii.

However, it then took a turn. Instead of there just being a fossil buried, he said maybe it could be pirate booty or even a secret underground pirate lair! Wow!

Curt: Like a fossil or pirate booty. Or even a secret subterranean pirate lair!

Now that I’d like to see! 🏴‍☠️ Except that it would probably just be Resetti wearing a pirate hat. 😆

Today, Drift reminded me that Filbert’s birthday is coming up on June 3rd. That’s next Tuesday, so I hope I remember to play that day! Anyway, Drift asked me if a bottle cap is a good gift idea.

Drift: How's a bottle cap? Cool, in a pond? >Sounds good!

I told him it sounded good, and he said it didn’t matter what I thought!

Drift: Well, it doesn't matter what YOU think, after all.
Then why did you ask me?!

Caroline asked me to join her exclusive walking club…that does nothing but walk around, like she does anyway. 😛

Caroline: Hey, bunny, care to join my exclusive walking club, on my Wii?
The walk sounds a bit boring… I think I’ll skip it this time.

And over by town hall, Truffles asked if I’d like to help her recycle some of her old junk. I agreed to help out, but then she realized she left the furniture at home.

Truffles: W-what?! You wanna help? EEK! Well, actually, I left the furniture at home...
I’ll believe that when pigs fly.

And yet we couldn’t go to her house to get it. 😛 I think she was just lying about the whole thing.

Have a great weekend, and I’ll be back with more next week. Never Stop Crossing!
