It was raining in town yesterday, and Truffles told me that she’s not into water polo when it rains. That seemed like a weird thing to say, because she’s not into water polo anyway. But I’d think the rain wouldn’t bother you as much when you’re already wet. 🤷

Whitney told me that her favorite thing about catching bugs is the bugs’ sound of defeat when she catches them.

I don’t know what to make of that. My villagers are weird.
Pippy wanted to have a contest to see who could catch a horse mackerel first, but the joke was on her…because I already had one.

I gave it to her, and she rewarded me with a pastel dot wall.
Drift has still been sick with a cold this week, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and again today.

When I started up the game today, I was met with quite a surprise: A rainbow!

This was my first time seeing a rainbow in Wild World! I have now seen a rainbow in Wild World, GameCube, New Leaf, and New Horizons. But apparently I haven’t seen one in City Folk yet, as hard as that is to believe! At least I can’t find any screenshots of it, or mentions of it in my blog!
At any rate, I changed the Virtual Console screen settings to view this rainbow in standard DS mode as well:

The rainbow gradually faded as I played. I’m not sure if I got to see it at its peak or not, since it was already underway when I started up the game. But it was nice to finally see it in this game!
Anyway, Saharah was in town today, and she asked me to make some deliveries for her. I took carpet packages over to Mabel and Pelly for her. She rewarded me with an ancient wall.

Right after the rainbow vanished completely, I spotted a balloon present overhead. I shot it down, and I found a clothesline pole inside.
I listened in on a conversation between Pippy and Curt, and Pippy was singing a song. 🎶

But Curt was definitely not a fan. 😆

Pippy replied that the song was popular with the girls in town, and they both insulted each other’s taste in music. But the conversation left them both feeling depressed.
