Five Gallons of Tea?

On Wednesday, I put some more money in the bank and my balance reached 19 million bells.

Pelly: The current bell balance is 19,000,000.

When I visited Filbert this morning, he was still tired. He was thinking of going back to sleep. 😴

Filbert: I'm actually thinkin' about goin' back to sleep, J-bot.
Go for it, sleepy little guy.

But first things first: He had a letter that needed to be delivered to Whitney in just ten minutes! I agreed to help out, and Whitney was overjoyed to receive the letter. Chief was standing there too, also looking very happy (but I don’t know why).

Whitney: Oh, it's a letter from Filbert. What an unexpected treat!

Whitney showed me the letter, in which Filbert said he ate the letter Whitney sent him. He also said he drinks five gallons of bubble tea a day! That little dude must have one heck of a powerful metabolism! 😆

To my buddy, Whitney, I was so hungry that I ate your letter! I drink five gallons of bubble tea a day. -The hungry Filbert

Whitney was entertained by the letter (as was I). When I returned to Filbert, he gave me a library wall to thank me for making the delivery.

Truffles came down with a cold today. I gave her some medicine, but I already know her sickness is going to carry over into next week.

Truffles: Glugalugalugalug... Ooooh, I don't think I'm fully recovered yet, snoutie.

Chief asked me for some new clothing, so I bought him a skull shirt at Able Sisters. He initially said “No way!” so I thought he didn’t like it. But he faked me out; he actually loved it!

Chief, as he puts on a skull shirt: I'm totally into it, on a pig. It's perfect!

He then rewarded me with a white veil.

Enjoy the newly-green grass of spring, and I’ll be back with another entry next week. Never Stop Crossing!

Another Cranky C

On Wednesday, Filbert asked me if I’d like to see a nice picture of a couch. I’ve seen this dialogue before, and I usually answer yes. But this time, I said no. He was disappointed, so he asked if I’m into couches even a little bit. This time, I said yes, and he wondered why I didn’t say that from the start. He even called me weird! 😆

Filbert: Sheesh! Why didn't you just say so from the beginning? You're weird, J-bot!

But then he gave me a free club shirt and said cheers to our friendship. So we’re still good. 😆

I’ve had a couple requests to pitfall Frobert for his recent comments about Sable (he called her lazy). So I made sure to do that. This is for Sable, fribbit.

Frobert falls into a pitfall.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get mad about it. Pitfalls can be a bit unsatisfying in Wild World.

Yesterday, I spotted a new house in the same spot that Curt just moved out of. His replacement is Chief the wolf.

Chief: My name is Chief! I'm not good at pleasantries, but it's nice to meet you!

So I traded one cranky “C” villager for another who lives in the same spot. But I already like Chief better. 😛

The fishing tournament is coming up on Sunday, and Truffles was already talking about it. More specifically, she was telling me that fish eyes gross her out. 😛

Truffles: Those creepy, glassy eyes. It's like they're plotting their revenge, snoutie!

Today, I ran into Chief in front of my house. He was talking about the upcoming tournament too, and he said he thinks I’m a cheater! Dude, we just met, why would you even think that?

Chief: You always seem to win stuff. Personally, I think you're a cheater, but...

And just like that, the new villager “honeymoon” is over already. He’s already starting to get on my bad side by saying that. Maybe me and crankies just aren’t meant to get along in this game.

Robin’s sickness has continued into a third week. I gave her more medicine Wednesday and Thursday. But by today, she was finally feeling better.

Robin: See, don't I look like my old perfect self again? And isn't that thanks enough?!
No, it’s not. I helped you for three weeks!

Despite what she said, she did give me a reward for helping out: a quince bonsai.

I found two items in the recycle bin at town hall, a tape deck and a two-ball shirt.

If you haven’t yet seen my latest Wild World video episode (#85) that I posted a few days ago, here it is:

See you all next week!

Bright Nights 2026

I received Curt’s goodbye letter in the mail today, as expected. But on the way out, he called Forest a stink hole! Shots fired! And now I’m really glad he’s gone.

To Jeff, Finally! I picked up and left Forest! I was so tired of this stink hole! Anyway, come visit, OK? Don't cry. -Curt

Bright Nights week is here, so all of my villagers’ homes (and most of the cedar trees) are now decorated with festive lights. Filbert’s house had a decorated tree right next to it, which I always like to see when judging the homes.

Robin was still sick with a cold, so I gave her another dose of medicine. But despite her illness, she was somehow able to decorate her house quite nicely. That included a tree behind her house and one next to it.

Meanwhile, my outdoor villagers asked me to pick their houses and tell Tortimer about it.

Marina: If you liked my house, would you go let Tortimer know? I'd appreciate it.

But the indoor villagers don’t seem to mention it at all. That included Frobert, who had four decorated trees surrounding his house! I couldn’t fit them all on-screen at once, though.

To me, that was clearly the best in town. The lights were un-frog-gettable! So I went over to town hall to speak with Mayor Tortimer.

Tortimer: Brrrr-right! Cha-cha-cha! Brrrrr-right! Cha-cha-cha!

After telling him the lights in town were gorgeous, he asked me for my choice. The first page of options listed Truffles, Frobert, Marina, and Robin. I accidentally chose “Someone else,” which took me to the next page of the list. However, something apparently went wrong, because it again listed Truffles, Frobert, Marina, and Robin (instead of the other four villagers)! But I went on and selected Frobert to make him the official winner.

Tortimer: So, Frobert, you say? I'd better keep an eye on that one.

I went back to Frobert’s house to tell him the news, but he again made no mention of Bright Nights at all! Does he even know he won? It didn’t seem like it! It’s quite different from last year, when Bones was thrilled (and appreciative) to win! Well, congrats anyway, Frobert! 🐸
