Bells and Whistles

Yesterday, Bunnie tried to sell me a mystery item for 1,350 bells. But the interesting thing is that she capitalized the word bells in the phrase “bells and whistles.” Even if you capitalize bells as a currency, it still shouldn’t be capitalized in a general idiom like this.

Bunnie: Anyway, the price is...1,350 Bells! And that's with ALL the Bells and whistles!

I declined the offer, but Bunnie was nice enough to give me the item for free! It was a playroom wall.

I rolled up a snowman, and unlike last week’s snowdude, this one was perfect.

Snowman: By Jack Frost's beard! L-look at me! LOOK AT ME! I'm PERFECT!
Look at you? Sorry, but some-Bunnie else caught my eye.

Wendell was in town, and I caught a bitterling for him to eat. In return, he gave me a north pattern, which is just a vertical road pattern.

The north pattern (road design) from Wendell the walrus.

With the vertical and horizontal road patterns, along with the intersection and one of the corners, I could actually start putting up some road paths around town if I wanted. However, I’m not planning on doing that anytime soon.

Today, the snowman sent me a snowman chair, which I put next to my snowman sofa. It’s taking me years to complete this snowman room. 😂

My snowman room as of January 15, 2021.

Antonio was talking about the fishing tournament coming up soon, and he said I should drink some protein-laced Turkish coffee to tone my arms and be ready to fish.

Antonio: You'd better drink protein-laced Turkish coffee to get prepped for it!

I made a delivery from Benedict to Margie, and I scored a cabana table for helping out.

I recently posted my latest Wild World episode (#33), which shows highlights from October through December.

Punch That Music Box!

I received my monthly bank statement in the mail today, and I earned 3,160 bells in interest this time.

Nookington’s had a spotlight product today, so I rushed upstairs to see what it was. Turns out, it was a robo-stereo. Definitely not what I was hoping for, but I bought it anyway (for 1,760 bells) since I didn’t have one in my catalog.

Timmy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the robo-stereo!

Back outside, I rolled up today’s snowballs to make a snowman. Unfortunately, I didn’t make him perfectly; he complained that he wasn’t snowman-ish enough. 😛

Snowman: Y'know, I always though I'd be a little more...uh... snowman-ish, y'know?

Mathilda had some dialogue for me that I don’t recall seeing before. She said she found a broken music box on the beach, and she asked for my help in fixing it. I told her to punch it.

Mathilda: But I think it's broken, 'cause it doesn't play. Can you fix it?

She apparently took my advice, and the punch knocked out a few music notes…

Mathilda is surprised to hear some (bad?) music notes after punching a music box in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

But she wasn’t happy with the result. She said if she knew it sounded like that, she would have thrown it away too. And she didn’t want to talk to me any more, because she was mad. Hey, don’t blame me! You did ask for my advice! And I never claimed to be a broken music box expert!

I met up with Rolf outside, and he just randomly insulted Gracie’s hair. Haha, I’m not sure what that has to do with anything, but okay, tiger.

Rolf: ...her hair actually looks pretty bad, don't you think, grrrolf?

Antonio was all packed up and ready to move out. I think I would have let him go, except for one problem: I don’t have his picture yet. So I talked him into sticking around a little longer.

Bunnie Hops to Town

It was snowing in town tonight, and Mathilda commented on how beautiful the snow was.

Mathilda: Look at that, J-puff! The snow is just gorgeous!

And in an apparent attempt to compliment herself, she compared the beauty of the snow to her own skin. 😛

Mathilda: I've been told before that my skin looks like fresh snow, wee baby.

Crazy Redd was in town today, but he didn’t have anything that I wanted or needed.

Patty’s replacement has moved into town, and it’s Bunnie the bunny.

Bunnie: What a great evening it is! Wait a sec...I've never seen you before, have I?

She didn’t recognize me, and that may be a good thing. I have some vague memories of perhaps being slightly mean to her somewhere, somehow…in another life perhaps. 😛 But we can put that behind us and start fresh. 😛 She is definitely an improvement over Patty.

Benedict asked me to guess how close he was with Goldie, and I apparently got it wrong. I never know how to answer these things; I always seem to guess incorrectly. Benedict just seemed so exasperated, and disappointed in me.

Benedict: You really don't understand a thing, do you, buhk buhk.
Do you have to breathe on me like that?

Since this is my last time playing before the month (and year) ends, I put all of my bells into my savings account to maximize my interest earnings. My balance is currently 633,929 bells…as I inch closer and closer to making my final million bell donation to Boondox.

Have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve, everyone! 🎉🎉🎉
