Twice as Hungry

Teddy was feeling better today, and he thanked me for the medicine I took him last week. He gave me some birch flooring, and he even called me his hero! That’s a little over the top, but still, it’s nice to feel appreciated.

Teddy: You are my HERO!
You bearly needed my help.

It was raining in town tonight, and I was happy about that. Kabuki… not so much.

Kabuki: Rain tonight... Rain rain rain. My soul! It cries the tears of a million storms!
Drama queen. Save it for acting class.

Jeremiah walked over, and he had a conversation with Kabuki. Jeremiah said he’s been spacing out on his couch, and drawing pictures of tuna salad without realizing it. That sounds like a fishy story to me.

Jeremiah: I start to draw pictures of tuna salad before I realize it...

He wondered what that meant, and Kabuki told him it just meant that he’s hungry. Well, that was an easy problem to solve. 😛

Margie was planning to move out of town, but I got her to change her mind. Why can’t it ever be Bree that wants to move out?

I found two new black hybrids today, a black tulip near my house and a black rose near Bree’s house. I put them both into storage.

A new black tulip on the ground near the river in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

I circled back around to town hall, and Jeremiah and Kabuki had another conversation. Actually, it was the same exact conversation that they had a few minutes earlier, except this time, Jeremiah was drawing grilled trout instead of tuna salad. Kabuki again had the same response…

Kabuki, to Jeremiah: Uh, hello? It means you're hungry, you big nimrod!

I collected some apples, and I caught this arowana out of the river. It was worth 10,000 bells.

I caught an arowana! It's golden and beautiful!

After selling my fruit and fish, I ended my game for the night.

Trade Backs

Yesterday, I saved Kabuki from moving, and I refused to buy a solemn painting at Crazy Redd’s shop. I also bought some medicine for Teddy the sick bear.

Teddy: I live again! YESSSSSS! Thanks, dumbbell!

Big Top randomly told me that his belly is his best feature.

Big Top: I've been told that my best feature is my belly.

Today, Rosie and Big Top both asked me for new clothes. So I bought a fresh shirt and a No. 2 shirt at Able Sisters. I went to Big Top’s house and offered him the fresh shirt. He turned it down, because apparently, it doesn’t show off his belly enough? What’s with this sudden belly obsession, big guy?

Big Top: I like to show off my belly more. I had to eat a ton of cake to get it this big!

So I gave him the No. 2 shirt, and he accepted. In return, he gave me 500 bells.

I was on my way to give Rosie the fresh shirt when she pinged me. She wanted to trade her No. 3 shirt for my fresh shirt. I agreed to the trade.

Rosie: Please give it to me! PLEASE! I'll give you my No. 3 shirt!

Since the trade was unrelated to the request, she was still looking for another shirt. So I spoke to her again immediately, and I gave her the No. 3 shirt right back!

Rosie: A No. 3 shirt?! Are you giving it to me, silly?
If you’re silly enough to take it back, yeah.

In return, she gave me the fresh shirt back! The same two items we swapped the first time, got traded back the second time. Crazy! This was just as pointless as my infamous zebra turkeyfish for zebra turkeyfish trade in ACCF!

Rosie: So, by any chance, will a fresh shirt to?

I gave Teddy some medicine again, collected and sold some apples and pears, and then wrapped up my night in Forest.

In case you haven’t heard, the next Animal Crossing game has been revealed: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. If you’d like, check out my impressions of the reveal.

Let’s Be Aggressive

I only played briefly last night, mainly just to check if Crazy Redd had a painting I still needed (he didn’t). But I did save Margie from moving, and then, Jeremiah randomly gave me a sailor’s uniform.

Rosie asked me to buy something, which she said was “perfect” for me. Since I like Rosie, I went ahead and bought it for 1,200 bells. It turned out to be an illusion wall…that Rosie found in the street. Uh, thanks?

Rosie: Aaaaactually, I found it on the side of a street. It was all, like, dirty...

I played again today, and Big Top immediately greeted me right outside my house. He suggested that we should be aggressive when we shop for clothes today. Um, okay?

Big Top: Let's be aggressive when we shop for clothes today, OK? Baconballs!

I heard something very similar when I spoke with Jeremiah. He said we should be aggressive when we garden today. How exactly would that work? I’m trying to imagine it. Would you yell as you plant seeds, or maybe pump your fist as you sprinkle wilted flowers with a trickle of water from your watering can?

Jeremiah: Let's be aggressive when we garden today, OK? Nee-deep!

Even though Wild World has some of the best dialogue in the series overall, you have to admit that every Animal Crossing game has repetitive dialogue.

Big Top had asked me for new clothes, and when I saw him again, I remembered that I had the sailor’s uniform from Jeremiah to give him. He loved it!

Big Top: A sailor's uniform?! You understand me like no one else!

He rewarded me with 500 bells as he proudly pranced walked around in his new outfit.

At least his naval navel isn’t showing.

Have an aggressive great day, everyone! Remember, E3 is next week! 😊😊😊
