Catching Spring Bugs

I found Moe with his furniture all packed up in boxes today. He’s getting ready to move out of town, and I didn’t try to stop him. He’s a nice guy, but those eyes…

Moe: OK! You take care of yourself, J-rock. Got that, myawn?

The bulletin board’s message of the week was a short one. It just said “Postcards aren’t cards. Weird.” I’m not sure I agree. They are cards, but maybe it means they aren’t greeting cards? Not sure.

*Message of the Week* Postcards aren't cards. Weird. When I visited Puddles, she told me she was eating a veggie chili dog and spilled mustard all over her dress! She asked me to get her some new clothes to wear.

Puddles: ...Waaah!! Omigosh, this dress has a H-HUGE mustard st-stain, la baa!So I went to Nookington’s to find some clothes for her. And once I got upstairs, I remembered that Nookington’s doesn’t sell clothes in Wild World. 😀 So I went back down and over to Able Sisters next door. 😛 I bought a nurse’s uniform, and then took it over to Puddles.

She changed into it, and then she thanked me by giving me some yellow glasses. She also hinted that she might ask me for something later too.

Puddles: I m-i-i-i-ght ask you for somethin' else later, la baa!
Yes, nurse.

Many new bugs are out and about now that March is here, and I caught a bunch of them today. That included the common butterfly, yellow butterfly, tiger butterfly, and honeybee.

I caught a common butt(erfly).I also did a little fishing, but I didn’t catch any new fish. I did catch a tin can, however. 😛 I put it outside of my house and later caught a fly that was drawn to the garbage. And if that wasn’t enough, I also caught a cockroach that was on a tree!

Oh, gross!!! Cockroach! The fly and cockroach aren’t new for springtime, but I guess I was just on a roll when it came to catching bugs today. I took my six new catches and donated them to the museum.

Of course Blathers never reacts well to insect donations, as he really hates bugs. But my favorite part was what he said about the honeybee. He said the bee’s stinger is connected to its internal organs, so when it uses its stinger, the organs get pulled out too.

Blathers: When it uses its stinger... the organs get pulled out. What an abhorrent image! He then apologized for being so graphic. It hurts you more than it hurt me, Blathers.

Blathers: I'm terribly sorry, but nature is not always family friendly!

Back outside, Kiki showed me a strange letter she got from a “concerned neighbor.”

Listen up, Kiki! Weeding is very tiring, especially when you don't have hands! So weed your own plot, you lazy bum. -A concerned neighbor
Maybe that’s why animals don’t pull weeds. They don’t have hands!

Before wrapping up my day in Forest, I made a 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall. See you all next time, and good luck with your bug hunting. 🙂

Did Puddles Meet Link?

It was raining in Forest tonight. What a soggy Saturday night.

Rain falls in Forest at night. The flea market was underway, so any villagers that were in their houses would only talk about selling you something. When I told Rod I wasn’t interested in any of his furniture, he seemed aggravated at me.

Rod: Aw, WEAK! I thought you were my bud, ace!
It’s not my fault your stuff sucks.

Just to be nice, I did buy one item tonight: Moe’s skeleton. He only charged me an arm and a leg 1,510 bells.

Moe: Oh, are you looking at my skeleton? Heh. I thought so.In the museum, Blathers identified (and returned) two fossils for me. Downstairs in the Roost, K.K. sang “I Love You” to me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: I Love You!After the show, I chatted with Static outside. He asked if I was interested in a leopard shirt, and I said yes.

Static: Are you interested in a leopard shirt? He immediately told me there’s more where that came from. But he didn’t give me the shirt!

Static: Oh, yes. There's more where that came from!I even checked my pockets, and there was no shirt there! Even though I didn’t pay him anything, I still felt ripped off. 😛

Confused, I talked to him again. But he didn’t mention the shirt. Instead, he suggested moving in with me! I can imagine him doing the same thing with his share of the rent. “Want me to pay half? Sure, there’s more where that came from.” *disappears*

Static: Hey, then maybe I could move in with you...
Are you nuts?

Puddles the frog had an interesting story for me. She said she once took a trip to a faraway place, where she met a cute boy in green clothes.

Puddles: I met this cute boy there that wore these green clothes, la baa.She said he could shoot stuff out of the sky with his amazing boomberang. Is she talking about Link?!

Puddles: He could shoot stuff out of the sky with his boomerang! It was amazing!
Come again?

The Dream Chaser

I found a note in a bottle down on the beach tonight.

Finding a note in a bottle on the beach in Animal Crossing: Wild World. It came from someone called “The Dream Chaser.” He or she apparently found nothing of interest in the last town, and wants to visit mine next?

Travel Log: It seems that there is nothing for me in this town. Next, I shall visit yours. -The Dream ChaserI decided it was time to change my clothes, so I went to Able Sisters and bought this flame shirt. Mabel seemed to think it looked hot. 😛

Mabel: Wow! You are looking really, really good! I mean it! Are you interested?
Sure. Call me, Mabel.

When I spoke with Rod outside, he was talking about the clothes he was wearing. He said his shirt was designed by C-no from over in Treehut. He said that when he wears it, he hears a voice that tells him to do sit-ups! I just smiled, nodded, and slowly backed away.

Rod: When I wear this, it's like a little man in my head commands me to do sit-ups!I went to visit Puddles, and she told me that she totally likes me. She may have to fight with Mabel. 😛

Puddles: Hey, J-rock, you know I totally like you, right?Kiki asked me to deliver a letter to Static, and I agreed. But when she saw I didn’t have a free letter spot, she changed her mind. So I made room for a letter and talked to her again. But this time, she asked me to take a letter to Chevre. Okay, no problem.

Chevre seemed to enjoy the letter, and she even let me see it. I didn’t open it on my own this time, honest! 😛

Dear Chevre, I don't write well, but I DO put my heart into it! My feet grew after I danced to soul! -See ya! KikiWhen I returned to Kiki, she thanked me and gave me 510 bells.

I found two fossils today, and both were returned to me after being identified by Blathers. I didn’t have much money left in my pockets, so I didn’t make a mortgage payment this time.
