Eloise’s Tonsils

On Wednesday, Caroline informed me that she was over her cold (finally). She thanked me for all the medicine by giving me an odd clock.

Last night, Eloise yawned right when I started to talk to her…and she didn’t seem to realize I was standing there.

Eloise: Yeee-aaaawn. Whew! ...Oh, sunshine! How long have you been standing there?

But the weird part is that she accused me of trying to look at her tonsils! Why would I want to look at her tonsils?! 🤢

Eloise: Were you trying to see my tonsils or something, nutty?

Considering her mouth is on the side of her face, I would’ve had to been standing at her side to see them anyway. 😛

Tonight, Goose told me I looked like I needed a pick-me-up. So he gave me a concrete wall. Oh joy, just what I always wanted.

Goose: Da-da-da-DAAAAAAAAAAAAA! A concrete wall! Just for you, nutty!

The fishing tournament is coming up tomorrow, and Eloise said she can’t make it because she already has a date.

Eloise: Do I want to go to the fishing tourney on Sunday? I've already got a date.
Good for you.

She said that without her, the tourney will be like a parade without a princess. Wow, her snootiness is really shining through lately. 😛

Eloise: But without me, it'll be like a princessless parade.

I headed down to the Roost for the Saturday night show, and K.K. performed Mr. K.K. for me. It’s not a bad song, and it’s one that I don’t seem to hear very often.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Mr. K.K.!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I’ll see you next time. 🙂

La-Di-Day 2023

On Wednesday, I received my latest HRA score in the mail. I scored 267,364 points. While that is my highest score yet, it’s only up a couple hundred points over my previous score. So that mermaid statue last week didn’t help as much as I thought it would.

Today is La-Di-Day, the day when villagers will “sing” for you, hoping that you choose their song as the new town tune. Pretty much all of my villagers were talking about the event, and poor Bones said he was losing his voice from practicing so much.

Bones: CRACKLE HUHWEEZE... I'm losing my voice from all this singing!
Goose: No WAY this husky voice of mine isn't gonna make the new town tune, nutty!
Wanna bet?

But Anchovy was the first one to sing for me, and his tune sounded a bit familiar to me. Maybe I’ve used it before? Anyway, I selected his song as my new town tune…and that made his day.

Anchovy: All right! Thanks a million, sunshine! I'm gonna go gloat to Wolfgang now.

I decided to stick with his song and not listen to any others. Anchovy isn’t one of my favorite villagers, but I’ll let him have this moment. (I can be nice once in a while.) 😛

Down at the Roost, K.K. Slider played a lullaby for me. Don’t put me to sleep, maaannn! 😴

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Lullaby!

Caroline was still sick with a cold, so I gave her more medicine Wednesday, Thursday, yesterday, and again tonight. When you include last Friday, that is five doses of medicine I’ve given her. This is getting a bit excessive. 😛

See you all next time!

Space Mermaid

Yesterday, Goose was complaining about the flea on him. But when I caught the flea that was bothering him, he complained about that too! He wanted to take care of it himself. (So why complain to me about it?) Make up your mind!

Goose: Hey! What did you do that for, huh? I coulda handled it myself!

Today, Gulliver’s UFO flew overhead…and I shot it down! This was actually my first successful UFO hunt of 2023!

The UFO, moments before disaster.

After waking up Gulliver, I started gathering up the missing parts of his UFO. I normally wait until I’ve picked them all up before talking to him again, but I decided to give him the first three pieces I found (just to keep my pocket space clear). He said those three pieces could be used to fix his Inhibition Inhibitor.

Gulliver: With these parts, I can fix my Inhibition Inhibitor!

It gives him courage to act against his better judgment. 😆

Gulliver: It allows me to perform acts of great valor against my better judgment!

Caroline was sick with a cold today, so I gave her some medicine. I didn’t want her huge eyes getting watery and flooding the town, you know. 😉

Bones asked me for a new catchphrase, and I told him to say “or snacks.” Keep an eye on future entries to see if he uses it in any interesting or funny ways.

After I found the two remaining UFO parts, I took them back to Gulliver. And he gave me something new: a mermaid statue! I put it in my Gulliver room, where I expect it will boost my next HRA score.

My new mermaid statue.

See you all next week! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂
