Alien vs. Samson

On Monday, Saharah was in town. She asked me deliver some wallpaper to Mabel, and then some more wallpaper to Blathers. After I was done, Saharah offered me a lunar horizon or an ancient tile.

Saharah: Do you want a lunar horizon or ancient tile?

Since I already have a lunar horizon, I chose the ancient tile. And now that I have both the ancient tile and wall, I displayed them in my upstairs villager photo room.

Today, Kid Cat told me a very interesting story. He said that he saw an alien, and Samson was fighting it while wearing a leotard!

Kid Cat: It was a space alien! ...And Samson was fighting it in a leotard!

But then he admitted that he only saw it after ramming his head into a tree. I guess that explains it, but still…he may need to see a doctor. That sounds like it could be a serious brain injury!

Kid Cat: Sure, I had just rammed my head into a tree while fleeing bees, but still...

Pascal was in town, but unfortunately, I didn’t have a scallop to give him. But he still told me about a rare “spook fish,” which actually isn’t in this game, and he gave me a ship deck (flooring).

Pascal: Ever seen a spook fish? Yeah, maaannn...creepy.
It’s a fitting time of year to mention a spook fish!

Out of curiosity, I googled “spook fish,” and it’s an alternate name for a barreleye. That fish isn’t in the older Animal Crossing games, but it was introduced in New Horizons.

That’s all I have for now, but I’ll see you all next time. Have a good day!

Bob’s Factory

On Wednesday, I shot down Gulliver’s UFO for the 9th time.

Samson asked me to deliver a letter to Bob, and Bob thought the content of the letter was mind-blowing!

Bob: Hmmm... As usual, the content is mind-blowing, tee-hee!

He didn’t show me the letter though, so I can’t confirm or deny if it was really mind-blowing…but I seriously doubt it. 😛 Anyway, Samson rewarded me with a satellite for making the delivery.

I gathered up the UFO parts and returned them to Gulliver, and he gave me a Manekin Pis as my reward.

Gulliver: Consider it a token of friendship between our two planets.

Maybe I can use this to water my flowers. 😛

A Manekin Pis waters my flowers.

Yesterday, I found a note in a bottle on the beach. But it was an unusual note, because it didn’t say anything! It was addressed to “youze,” and it was signed by the Alliance Against Resetting, but the body of the letter was completely blank!

To youze, ... Alliance Against Resetting
Was Resetti actually speechless??

It must have been National Delivery Day, because three villagers asked me to make deliveries for them! Here’s a quick summary:

  • Delivered a cake shirt from Olivia to Bob. I got 520 bells.
  • Delivered a letter from Cyrano to Bob. I got an ornate rug.
  • Delivered a mint gingham top from Goldie to Peanut. I got 520 bells.

Today, Kid Cat was quizzing me about the perfect muscle tone. He apparently didn’t like my answer; he told me I should read Hunk World Weekly and play basketball until I can barely move.

Kid Cat: Try doing basketball until you can barely move, then come talk to me!

When I ran into Peanut, she was freaking out because she found a crack in the ground. 😂

Peanut: What, you ask?! It's a crack on the ground! Can you believe it? A CRACK!!!
At least it’s not a crack in a Peanut shell.

Bob told me about a dream he had: He owned a dark chocolate factory that made a dark chocolate every second!

Bob: I owned this factory that made a dark chocolate every second!

Sounds delicious! He said he eventually got tired of eating so much dark chocolate, but he still described the dream as “really beautiful.”

Bunnie was all packed up and ready to move out, but I got her to change her mind. I actually don’t want anyone to leave right now. Not even Samson just yet.

Wendell was in town, and I gave him a red turnip. Unfortunately, he gave me a country guitar instead of a turban. So I’ll have to try buying another red turnip from Joan at some point (but it may not be this weekend).

See you all next week!

Acorn Festival 2021

Today is the first day of the annual, week-long Acorn Festival in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Kid Cat: Man, the Acorn Festival starts today, right?

All week, the mysterious Cornimer (who is totally not Tortimer in disguise) can be found outside of town hall. He uses his “special powers” to scatter acorns around town.

Cornimer: For the next week, I'll be using my special powers to scatter acorns around town.

By gathering up acorns and returning them to Cornimer, you can obtain various pieces of mush furniture. You can also get a special fortune from Cornimer. Mine told me to make a decision and do ten chin-ups. 😛

Your secret fortune: Mini Acorn. Life: Do your best! Hopes: Make a decision. Karma: Do ten chin-ups. Look behind you!

When I visited Goldie, she informed me that she’s finally over her cold. She thanked me for all the medicine I took her last week by giving me a lovely wall.

Goldie: You have given me the most precious of gifts... The gift of good health!

I collected a total of 40 acorns (while being careful not to give Tortimer any rotten acorns), and I redeemed them for a mush stool, mush end table, mush lamp, and a mush chair.

Cornimer: The number of acorns you've given me is 40!

I sold the furniture for a total of 8,300 bells. (I didn’t need any of them, because I already have the complete mush set in my house.)

The Acorn Festival continues through Sunday, and it will prevent other special characters from visiting town. So for that reason, I probably won’t play again until next week. Hope to see you then!
