Tom Nook has now applied the astro exterior to my house.
And over at Re-Tail, there was a large bookshelf for sale. And they’re not kidding, this thing is huge!
I made a quick stop at Club LOL; I gave Shrunk a mango and he taught me the daydreaming emotion. It’s basically an empty thought bubble.
I only need one more emotion and I’ll have them all! I should get it tomorrow, if I remember to play before 8 p.m.
Back in town, Benedict approached me and gave me a caveman tank. I didn’t realize cavemen ever drove tanks.
I then headed over to the Roost to work a shift. My first three customers were regular villagers, whose orders I got perfect. Could I finally have a perfect day in the cafe? Not so fast. In walked Tom Nook for the first time.

Being his first time in, I had no idea how to make his coffee. I ended up getting it partially right, but not perfect. Bummer. I still got superb coffee beans for the day, and that’s not all. Brewster also gave me a cafe uniform that I can wear at any time!
The cafe uniform looks nice, but it does not go well with my basketball shorts. I’ll have to buy some pants to match it.
Back outside, I ran into Phineas!
He gave me a Balloon Hunter badge, for popping a lot of balloons. I appreciate the fact that I’m getting a new badge of course, but is popping balloons really a skill that merits a reward?

Anyway, I continued my walk around town and I saw Katt. I had a great conversation with her! No, I’m not being sarcastic. I’m serious! She suggested a police station as a town project! Awesome!
I’m not sure which police station I’ll choose just yet. I do prefer the modern one, but it comes with Copper–and I would prefer Booker. Well, I’ll have to think about it.
Aurora was still sick unfortunately, so I bought some more medicine for her. It’s hard to get a good picture of animals backflipping in New Leaf, because of the delay when you press L and R to take a picture. In ACCF, pictures were taken instantaneously. (Say fuzzy pickles).

I spotted Saharah in town, and I paid her the 3,000 bells to make over my house.
She installed an autumn wall and a sand garden. It actually doesn’t look bad.
I decided to keep the autumn wall for now, although I changed the flooring back to my backyard lawn.
I made a brief trip to the island to catch some bugs, and I returned with enough money to pay off my next house expansion. I decided to enlarge my room on the second floor.
And before I was done playing for the night, I decided to check out the Happy Homes Showcase. To my surprise, two new homes were available there. They were apparently both from SpotPass: Rich from Ramburg and Krys from Clover. Rich’s house wasn’t anything spectacular (unless you like lots of gyroids), but Krys’ house was pretty cool. This is the main room:
The bathroom was also quite nice:
Last week, I put up a Youtube video showing a slideshow of pictures I took during the month of June. I actually forgot to embed the video in this blog, so if you haven’t seen it (or want to see it again), here you go:
As for today, I finally deleted my Dude and Dudette characters that I used to make my
I then went south to see my new pyramid! It’s pretty cool, but the size isn’t exactly overwhelming.
As expected, you can see it from the beach…
…and the dock.
It looks nice though, and I’m happy with it. But I’m hoping my villagers will start suggesting some new projects now though!
So she asked me if she was supercute.
I told her no, but she wouldn’t hear it. Her denial fits right in with Forest’s new Egyptian theme. So she kept asking me over and over!
Eventually all the options were a form of “yes,” even if it was a sarcastic “Sure you are…” response, so I had to go with that. With that awkward discussion over with, I headed to town hall. It was time for the pyramid’s completion ceremony.
Next, I made a trip up to Main Street. I had received my calm painting in the mail from Crazy Redd, and it turned out to be real! So I donated it to the museum and had a look at it in the art gallery.
And in Nook Homes, I saw something I wanted…for the first time ever. I decided to splurge on the astro exterior.
In T.I.Y., I purchased some medicine for Aurora. She’s been sick, so I wanted to help her out.
My friend Wendy wanted to come over and shop, so I opened my gate briefly. She brought Katie with her.
After Wendy was done shopping, I closed the gate. I remembered that I still needed to feed Shrunk, so I took him a peach. He taught me the love emotion.
I only need two more emotions!
And I recently discovered that my modern clock project lights up each hour! During the hourly chimes, the empty middle part has rainbow-like lights that scroll diagonally. Even though the lights only last for 10 seconds or so, it’s a nice, surprising little feature.
UPDATE: I opened my gate tonight just before 11:00 to let some people see the modern clock light up in person. Unfortunately, we got disconnected at 10:59, so we missed it. I reopened my gate for an hour though. Wendy, Annissa, and Aaron came over. We joined up at my pyramid.
Wendy and Annissa trapped me there, so I tried to cut through the pyramid to escape. It didn’t work out so well.
After hanging out in my house for a while, we went to the island for two tours. I won the bug-catching one, probably due to a valuable butterfly I caught literally in the last second.
And we rushed back to Forest just before midnight, so we could all witness the modern clock lighting up.
After that, I ended the session for the night. I’ll be back with another update tomorrow.
I returned to town and talked to Rolf. He told me he had some wicked heartburn.
He wanted me to find some fruit for him to have for dessert. So I found an apple for him, and he thanked me by giving me a cycling shirt in return.
Unlike my first two campers (Molly and Rolf), I had no interest in convincing Lionel to move into Forest. But I still played one of his games. I didn’t win, despite getting two of three guesses correct. So I had to buy his colorful wheel for 1,780 bells. I took the colorful wheel to my house to see what it looked like…it reminds you of the Wheel of
It spins by default; pressing the A button will make it stop on a number. It’s a pretty cool thing to have.
Back outside, I saw Phineas! He had a new badge for me, the Skilled Angler badge, for catching a lot of fish.
He didn’t have any other badges for me, but my bug count is only two behind my fish count. So I bet I’m very close to earning my next bug badge as well.
UPDATE: After a late night trip to the island (and some nice bug-catching), I earned enough money to pay off my pyramid! It’ll be complete tomorrow!
And Big Top gave me a new nickname, boss!
