Freckles the duck was camping over at the campsite today. She’s okay, but I already have a duck in town. Not to mention my town is still full.
Up at T&T Emporium, I bought this Jingle clock. It’s a new addition to the furniture series. And I almost missed it, because a lot of times, I don’t even notice the items hanging on the walls of the store.
I know Phineas owes me a badge. But even though there weren’t any special visitors in town, there was no sign of him. So I got out my megaphone and started yelling for him. But the only replies I got were Benedict’s “Hey! I’m over here!” and Kapp’n’s clueless “Gar?”
I guess I’ll have to wait a while longer. I met Tabby over by the bridge, and she was complaining about how there’s nothing going on and she’s so bored. To quote Harvey Danger, “If you’re bored, then you’re boring.”
And by another bridge, I saw my favorite duck Molly. She told me she wants plants for Christmas! Speaking of boring, what would be a more boring present than a plant? Maybe an egg.
After circling around town, I saw Tabby again. But I’m not going to insult her this time, because she just helped me out! She suggested an illuminated tree for a public works project! I was just talking about how I was hoping someone would suggest that two days ago!
This is what it looks like…when not lit up:
But of course it will look its best when it is lit up. It will resemble a Christmas tree, which is perfect for this time of year–especially when it’s snowing. I wasn’t sure where to put it, so I walked around town looking for a good spot. Since I wanted it to be visible from my metal bench, I decided on this spot:
I went up to the post office to withdraw some money from my bank account, and then returned to pay off the project. It will be completed tomorrow.
And last but not least, I gave Aurora a new greeting. Ice witch, it is!
And if you haven’t seen my new slideshow of New Leaf pictures taken in November, be sure to check it out.
UPDATE: Just wanted to add that Z-Dude from Z-Vilage was my most recent dream visitor. ThankZ for visiting, Z-Dude!
I also spoke with Kidd, and he mentioned that people think he and Tabby are cousins.
The most interesting part is that he didn’t deny it! Who wouldn’t deny being related to Tabby? Even if it was true! But he said he wants to protect Tabby’s privacy. Wow, I never would have guessed. You should have kept that info to yourself, Kidd.
Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Melina from Bluebell was my most recent dream visitor. And Gracie has a holiday dress available, in case anyone wants to dress up like a Christmas tree.
Speaking of holiday clothes, Beth submitted a Christmas tree sweater and a girls’ Santa dress to the
Katrina was in town, so I paid her 500 bells to tell my fortune. She told me that an official top will be the key to avoiding disaster. I really don’t care about her fortunes that much… At this point, I’m just doing them so I can get her to open up her shop on Main Street. I’m not sure how many more fortunes I need, but I’ll be sure to let you know when it happens.
I then did some fishing in the ocean. After a while, I found what I was looking for: an oarfish!
That means I’ve now caught every fish in the game!
I took both of my new catches and donated them to the museum, but Blathers didn’t say anything about the fish collection being complete! My list (which I filled out after donating each fish) seems to be complete, so I don’t think I’ve missed donating one.
Her house was really nice, but what really jumped out at me was one of her badges. She has the gold StreetPass badge, which means she’s StreetPassed over 1,000 New Leaf players already! How is that even possible? That’s mind-boggling to me.
When I returned to my town, I spotted Saharah. I paid her for new wallpaper and carpet, and she installed an ancient wall and a sidewalk. It’s an odd combination, but I do like the ancient wall. I put it into storage for future use, but I decided I would sell the sidewalk (even though it looks nice too).
As soon as I put my previous wallpaper and carpet back up, Molly barged in.
She brought me a lemon to eat. Uh…thanks?
Once she left, I saw Teddy outside. He was flapping his arms like a chicken! Apparently he was mad for some reason, but he didn’t want to talk about it.
After I was done watering my flowers, I headed up to Main Street. Luna told me that Kitten from Milani was my most recent dream visitor.
The Able Sisters also got into the Christmas spirit by selling this Santa hat. Yes, it is called a Santa hat and not a festive hat in New Leaf.
I bought the Santa hat and returned to my town. Two of animals told me what they want for Toy Day. Teddy told me he wanted something purple, and Big Top asked for wallpaper. I’m keeping notes of all these clues, because I’m sure they’ll come in handy when Toy Day arrives.
When I saw Teddy again, he pinged me and suggested a new public works project: a torch!
This is what it looks like:
I’m hoping someone will suggest an illuminated tree sometime soon. It resembles an outdoor Christmas tree, so it would be perfect for this time of year.
