It was raining as I started up the game today. And a message posted on the bulletin board said that tomorrow is Nature Day. Wow, that makes three events for this week: Easter was yesterday, Nature Day is tomorrow, and then Weeding Day is coming up on Friday.
Anyway, I saw I had a StreetPass from Ian, so I quickly went up to the Happy Homes Showcase. This was apparently the 10th time I got his character in the showcase, so that means I get the ultimate StreetPass prize: A tweeter! Yes! Finally!
I had fun blowing it for a while, but I eventually returned to town. In the police station, I was surprised to see it was completely full of items for the first time ever. Aside from the four tricky pitfall seeds that were already in there, the rest was filled with candy!
The reason it’s there is because Crazy Redd’s art gallery displaced my candy collection. Crazy Redd didn’t have any art that I needed though, so I didn’t buy anything from him today.
I stopped over Kim’s town briefly to make a trade.
When I returned to Forest, Agent S asked me for a new greeting.
And Kidd told me how he thinks umbrellas are mostly for show. That’s only because video game rain isn’t real.
Tia asked me for a Forest pear. But I didn’t give her a Forest pear, I gave her a perfect pear from Auctus. She loved it, and she finally gave me her picture!
Here’s a look at it:
Her favorite quote is “Tea is a cup of life.”
Back outside, a fake rock gave me a gold nugget. I grabbed two other gold nuggets from storage and took them all to Cyrus at Re-Tail. He turned them into a golden wall torch! That means my golden furniture set is complete at last!
I returned home and hung it on the wall.
I got a lot accomplished today! The tweeter, Tia’s pic, and the golden wall torch are things I’ve been trying to get for a while now. That wrapped up my day in Forest, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow to see what Nature Day has in store for us all.
Thank you for reading! 🙂
By the way, Chrissie from Astoria was my most recent dream visitor.
Between my fountain and metal bench, Gala gave me a grapefruit table. It made for a very colorful photo.
And of course, today is Easter–also known as Bunny Day in Animal Crossing. Bunny Day first appeared in City Folk on Wii, but it’s more complicated this time around. It still has eggs you can dig up from underground…
But there are other types of eggs, too: Six in total. Zipper T. Bunny will tell you about them.
Aside from the buried earth eggs, you’ll also collect stone eggs from fake rocks, sky eggs from balloon presents, water eggs from fishing, tree eggs from shaking trees, and deep sea eggs from diving. So you’ll probably want a shovel, a fishing rod, a slingshot, and a wet suit.
You need to find one egg of each type before Zipper will give you the egg basket. At first, I thought that meant it would require six eggs for every piece of furniture. Fortunately, that’s not the case. You can eat any other eggs you find: Most of them will contain candy, but some will contain a winning ticket or a grand-prize ticket.
Zipper seems to be rather depressed and he hates his job. He also doesn’t like when you waste his time.
When I spoke to Kidd, he mentioned talking to Allie from Destiny. Allie is someone who came over once to get a bingo numberÂ
He offered me a couple of his egg furniture items, but I declined; I wanted to complete the set on my own. After he left, one of the trees I shook contained a bee that I didn’t quite catch. It caught me instead. But with a swollen eye, I continued searching for eggs and checking their contents.
It took me a few hours or so, but I managed to collect all 15 items. That includes 12 pieces of egg furniture, one wall, one floor, and Zipper’s pic. If you’d like to double-check to see what you may be missing, here is a full list of everything:
I then went up to do my shopping run. Rolf wasn’t very supportive of my eye accident.
But I bought some medicine for my eye and then put my egg furniture in one of my rooms. This might make a good prize for a future giveaway, don’t you think?
And before I ended my game for the night, I decided to take a look at Zipper’s favorite quote. I wonder what inspirational message he might have for us all on this Easter Sunday:
“Hippity-hoppity wish-wash-whoa!” I couldn’t have said it better myself.
She didn’t like that idea. Before looking for other locations, I decided to stick my head through her face-cutout standee. However, she planted a pitfall seed behind it and I fell in! This means war…
After crawling up out of the ground, I tried again.
I think windmills look good along cliffs, so I headed south. I suggested one spot where the windmill would be visible from the dock, but she also asked what I thought of a spot near her house (which is near an eastern cliff). It was probably better than the spot I suggested, so she’s apparently going to put it there. She couldn’t get Isabelle to do the work while I was in town though. So I decided to inspect her house.
She has a really nice bathroom, although she walked in on me while I was testing out her golden toilet!
I also used her computer, and I found a disturbing file on there.
Her game room has a GameCube and a Virtual Boy!
And we stopped to play a game of foosball. I won, with a final score of 934872-1, I believe.
After that, she kicked my butt out of her town and I found myself back in Forest. Up in the Emporium, Agent S told me that Timmy and Tommy look similar to each other. You don’t say…
So naturally, she assumes that they’re clones. Because that’s far more likely than being brothers.
And back in my town, Jitters came in for coffee. If you’re already jittery, maybe you don’t need more coffee, pal.
And I heard Skye fall into a pitfall! I know how it looks, with the shovel in my hands, but it wasn’t me this time!
And after 8:00, I went up to Club LOL to hear some K.K. musical goodness. His random tune turned out to be K.K. Tango tonight.
Tomorrow is Easter, aka Bunny Day! Are you ready for it? If so, hop to it!
