Somehow, Big Top could smell the Virgo harp in my pockets tonight!
I knew he was a superhero, but I had no idea he could smell music. Would you like to have that super power if it came with no strings attached? Anyway, he offered to trade his after-school jacket for the harp. That did not smell like a bargain to me, but I traded anyway, just to be nice.
Over by the Roost, Kidd seemed to be making fun of my sunglasses! So what if it’s nighttime?
Squishy asked if she could come over to sell some stuff, so I asked what kind of stuff. She confessed that she was trying to sell smuggled oranges once again! I don’t know if her husband Inigo Montoya is in on this too, but the brute squad tried to block her from entering Re-Tail!
But she bribed me with some fresh-squeezed orange juice, and I let her in. While we were inside, she actually used a famous mushroom to get really big too. I didn’t even realize you could use them indoors! It caught me by surprise, so the picture I took came too late.
I joked that Copper was coming to arrest her for selling those smuggled oranges, but then I realized she could probably just turn into a giant to break the handcuffs. Either that, or turn into orange juice like an orange Terminator turning into liquid metal.
I also found out I could use my watering can while sitting on a stump. I’m not sure how useful that ability is, but I’ll take it.
I had to go, so I ended the session. Later on, I saw Aurora sitting on my metal bench.
She asked me to join her, so I did.
Madisyn still had my tweeter from Friday, so she came over to drop it off tonight. She was also showing me some patterns she made.
Wendy also came over to buy some more bushes. When Madisyn saw the “someone’s here” message and the game saving, she thought I was kicking her out.
We headed out to the island and once Wendy bought all the bushes she wanted, I chose a labyrinth tour for us. I thought if we all brought the fruit back to the start, it would be easy. It’s worked before…but not this time. What a disaster. Why don’t I ever learn my lesson about choosing this tour?
We returned to Forest and did a little bit of glitching. I glitched onto the boat, and then Wendy did the same. But for a moment, I saw her standing underwater.
Before long, I ended the session. Good night!
And this morning, I tracked down Joan so that I could buy some turnips. She was selling them for 108 bells each, which is high, but I still bought 3,100 of them as planned. That’s enough to fill the three pages of my storage that I’ve cleared out, plus one bundle to keep in my pockets. That one will serve as a reminder that I need to keep checking turnip prices all week.
Near my house, I found a gem rock. Unfortunately, my Re-Tail is still full of gems from last time, so I just left these here for now.
I somehow offended Sprinkle, without even trying. She said I looked surprised that she had a shower. I just figured she would run through a sprinkler instead.
It was quite a sunny day in Forest, and Octavian seemed to be enjoying it. I actually thought he’d prefer rain.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Pikachu from the town of Pancake was my most recent dream visitor. That’s an interesting combination.
I spoke with Octavian again, and he told me he enjoyed fireworks more than he could explain.
I also talked with Isabelle, who was hanging out at the event plaza. She gave me a flower bopper to wear.
I put it on and enjoyed some more of the fireworks. Here you can also see my town tree.
I finished up my night by giving away five pink roses to MistyIce. I delivered them to her town Tia Time.
I didn’t open my gate tonight, but I will be opening next Sunday (August 31st) for the final fireworks festival of the year.
Once you have it, you’ll be able to order more at any time through the Nooklings’ catalog. It costs 4,800 bells.
When I checked my mail, I found a letter from Madisyn. She thinks she’s going to steal Agent S and Big Top from me. HA! Never! You must be Mad.
As I made my way around town to water flowers, Aurora asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I agreed to play, and she gave me ten minutes to find her, Rolf, and Big Top.
The first villager I found was Big Top. He was hiding behind his own house!
About two minutes later, I found Rolf hiding behind the zen bell. He’s lucky I didn’t ring the bell in his ear!
I then found Aurora hiding behind Drago’s house.
I won the game, and Aurora said I deserve a washbasin. Is she trying to tell me something?
A couple of my villagers have told me that Rolf plans on moving out of town! But Rolf has not pinged me yet, so I haven’t been able to tell him to stay. I’m going to keep looking for him until I make sure his cage is locked up nice and tight.
But when I told her to come over, she didn’t want to come right away. She wanted to schedule a time. That would mean keep playing the game for another hour, or turn it off and risk forgetting. I just told her to forget the whole thing. Maybe another time, penguin.
We then hopped back to Forest. Wendy wanted to buy some bushes that were on sale in my island gift shop. We also went on a scavenger hunt tour.
We earned a gold Tortimer award and 13 medals for our hard work. After returning to the mainland, I used the megaphone in Wendy’s ear.
She started blowing her tweeter at me, and I pushed her off the dock. But before she fell into the water, I saw her swimming in mid-air for a second or two!
We then did a little swimming and diving before I ended the session.
Just a reminder that Saturday is K.K. night! Be sure to head up to Club LOL to get your free song from the singing dog. (And also, get one step closer to the K.K. badges if you don’t have them already). I’ll be back with more tomorrow! See you then!
