Time Change Problems

The 3DS system does not automatically adjust the time when Daylight Saving Time begins or ends. And since I forgot to change the time before starting up my game today, it was already after noon (game-time), so I was unable to buy any turnips this week. I then put the game away and didn’t play it until much later tonight.

Rolf was over by the fountain, telling me he bought a salad bar on the spur of the moment. Haven’t we all done that?

Rolf: So on the spur of the moment the other day, I sorta bought a salad bar...He asked me to buy it from him for 2,400 bells and I reluctantly agreed.

I then found a lost item on the ground, just west of the event plaza.

A lost item on the ground. However, Rolf and Octavian were the only villagers awake…and they both said it wasn’t theirs. So there wasn’t really anything I could do. I’ll have to keep the book for myself!

The time change really threw me off today, at least in Animal Crossing. I’ll have to set the time before playing tomorrow.

But I have another problem that’s much more serious. Not only has the rubber part of my 3DS circle pad completely worn off, but now the round plastic part underneath is cracking and breaking apart! What are these made out of, candy?! If it completely breaks off, I’m not going to be able to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf (or any other game that requires the circle pad) at all!

I hate the idea of buying a new system…I should not have to replace a system that I’ve only had for a year and a half! From what I’ve heard, repairs are almost as expensive as buying a new system…and they don’t even guarantee they’ll save your data! So I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet.

Mushroom Season Begins

The new house in town has been completed, and Amelia the eagle has officially moved in.

Amelia: Guess what? As of today, I'm an official Forest resident.Copper informed me that a camper was at the campsite today, and I was afraid it would be an animal I wanted (now that I don’t have room for another villager). But fortunately, it was just Peaches. She has lived in my ACCF town on two separate occasions (Allie once shanked her in the kidney), and she’s alright. But I wouldn’t have asked her to move into town anyway.

Peaches: I'd heard rumors about how lovely your town is, and I've been craving fresh peach juice.Since it’s November now, that means it’s mushroom season! Mushrooms will appear around town for the next 30 days, and not just around stumps.

A mushroom on the ground. And of course, some of those mushrooms will actually be mush furniture (or wallpaper or carpet).

I thought it was a mushroom, but it's a forest wall!Over by the train station, Agent S asked me to take a train ride with her! Unfortunately, it was just a meaningless conversation and not something I could actually do.

Agent S: But I'd get too lonely traveling all by myself. Hey! Maybe you could come with me, cookie! My town is a bit of a mess right now; I still have a bunch of furniture on the ground by Re-Tail. And since it was so late by the time I played tonight, it was too late for me to sell any of it. So I decided not to update my dream town today. But I still went into the Dream Suite to see who my latest dream visitor was: D34 from the town of Old Yes.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named d34 from Old Yes enjoyed your dream.I went into Club LOL and Agent S was there as well. She said she wants to hold her own concert there someday, and she’ll give me a front-row seat!

Agent S: I totally want to do a live concert here one day. I'll definitely save you a front-row seat, cookie!I asked K.K. for a random song, and he performed Forest Life for me. One of my favorites!

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called Forest Life. Most of Main Street was abandoned for the night, so I just took a seat on my metal bench and sat for a few moments. It may be chilly, but it was still a nice, quiet night.
