I haven’t bought turnips the past two Sundays, but I made sure to buy some today. Joan was selling them for 94 bells each, and I purchased 3,100 of them. I just hope I remember to check turnip prices this week. It’s easy to forget once you’re out of the habit.
Rolf told me he was collecting signatures for “Finding My Keys.” That sounded like a good cause, so I agreed to help him out.
Tom41 opened up his gate a bit later, so I headed over to Tomville. His friends Tricia and Chaceyj were also there. I began to look for animals, and Pippy was my first victim volunteer.
As I made my way around town, I saw Tricia standing still. And for a split second, I thought she was an animal, so I started to walk towards her to ask her to sign my petition. Oops!
I kept running into animals whose names began with the letter “P.” Peanut provided the last signature I needed.
Four of the six signatures were from “P” names.
Tom was having a bad luck day, so he was wearing the Tingle hood. He’s also been playing Majora’s Mask 3D on his New 3DS lately. So I joked that he could sell himself a map.
When Tom’s battery turned red, he turned into Resetti and told us all to “Scram!” as he ended the session. Back in Forest, I gave Rolf the completed petition. He rewarded me with an aroma pot.
I went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town, and Luna told me that Gabriel from Berryway was my most recent dream visitor.
And back in town, I acquired a previous DLC item in an unusual fashion: Drago offered me a Libra scale in exchange for a fossil I had in my pockets.
Tomorrow is Festivale, so I’ll be back with another blog entry then. If you’re new to Festivale or want a refresher on how it works, be sure to check out my Festivale Guide!
I also got a letter from Molly (who sent me a chocolate heart) and Mom (who sent me a comfy sweater she knitted). While trying to put the chocolate heart in my house, I noticed that it always faced the front of the house, regardless of which direction I was facing when I dropped it.
I opened my gate for Tom to visit this afternoon. He just got a New 3DS.
As he was exploring and shopping, I was giving some fish to Chip for today’s fishing tournament. I gave him a red snapper, and it took over top spot. Chip rewarded me with a marine pop floor. I then gave him a shark (from my dock box), and it shattered my own record, being a whopping 231.30 inches long.
Shortly before 9:00 tonight, I noticed the northern lights up in the sky. They’re surprisingly common in winter.
Madisyn had her gate open, so I visited her town Johto for a while. Her friend X was also there, and we hung out in Madisyn’s arcade. I played pinball until my flippers got sore and I lost all my balls.
A few minutes later, her friend Maxwell also showed up. I went over to Re-Tail to sell some perfect peaches, and I was surprised to find a library in there! Recycling paper is a good thing, but this is crazy!
Madisyn’s town looks really nice, but I thought it needed some beanstalks. So I started throwing beans everywhere.
I stood at the Tails face-cutout standee, while X was using a shovel to hit a lost item on the ground. The recoil was pushing him into the standee.
Around 10:00, I returned home to Forest. I made one last stop at the Roost for a sweet treat. On Valentine’s Day, Brewster serves hot chocolate instead of coffee.
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
I ordered myself a hockey mask last night, so that I could wear it for Friday the 13th. Saharah was in town today, so I hired her to put in this lovely wall and common floor.
The northern lights were in the sky above Forest this evening.
At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Megan came over to visit; I hadn’t seen her in a long time! She didn’t seem to appreciate my outfit though, and she tried to burn Jason to death!
When the fountain firework didn’t work, she tried using a roman candle on me. It was quite painful, but I survived.
After a stop at Re-Tail, we went up to the Emporium so that Megan could buy her own axe and be a murderer like me. We then started threatening the Nooklings.
On the second floor, the Nooklings had their laundry hanging out–including their socks!
Megan saw that my Re-Tail was paying premium for cherries, so I helped her gather up all the cherries around town. She also went back to her town to stock up on the cherries there too. The cherry-picker made over 100,000 bells.
I had two more famous mushrooms over by my town tree, so we gave it another try. We got a bit closer, but it still wasn’t perfect. I like how Aurora fled the scene when she saw what was going on.
As of tomorrow, those mushrooms will be gone from my dream town. But I will replace them when new ones grow by my stump.
While Megan was on “brb” at one point, I glitched onto the Sphinx.
We went around hunting for snowflakes for a while, and we were both able to get a few pieces of ice furniture from my nearly-melted snowmam.
Shortly after midnight, I ended the session for the night. Thanks for coming, Megan! It was good to see you again and I had a good time. 🙂
