Cashing Out

Yesterday, I got Octavian’s goodbye letter in the mail. He also sent me his picture again. I’ll miss ya, pal.

Octavian's goodbye letter.I’m not sure if this is related to Octavian leaving or not, but Drago felt the need to replace his squid. How sad.

Drago: I really want to replace the squid I have with something else.Today, Reese was paying 179 bells for turnips. That’s not a huge amount, but it is nearly double what I paid for them. So I sold all that I had.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 179 bells. That left me with about 600,000 bells in my pockets–I should go thrift shopping! But actually, I just deposited those bells into my bank account. That kicked my balance up over 37 million bells.

Your current balance is 37,250,000 bells.Dizzy asked me to come over to his house right away, so I agreed to pay him a visit. For a minute or two, at least.

Dizzy: Make yourself at home! Just follow my lead, I'm dizzy.Later on, Kabuki asked me for an orange. I didn’t realize cats like to eat fruit! I gave him a perfect one, and he thanked me by giving me a regal bookcase.

Kabuki: WHAT?! Could this actually be... a perfect orange?!When I went up to Main Street, Luna told me that Luke from Forest was my most recent dream visitor. (Yesterday’s dream visitor when I checked was Micky from Aquaria).

And down on the beach, I found Gulliver, the shipwrecked seagull sailor. He was talking about kangaroos and koalas, so he’s clearly headed to Australia.

Gulliver: Oh, man. I think my cage got rattled pretty bad. I'm feeling a little birdbrained at the moment.
