Joan was selling turnips for an even 100 bells each today. I bought 3,100 of them. If you wonder why I usually buy 3,100 of them, I’ll tell you. I have three pages of my storage clear and reserved specifically for turnips. Those 30 spots account for 3,000 of the turnips. As for the other 100 (which just take up one inventory slot), I keep them in my pockets as a reminder to check turnip prices each day.
This afternoon, the winner of the egg furniture giveaway (Stace) contacted me and told me her gate was open. I dropped off the egg set and tweeter at her town St. Pete. Congrats once again, Stace! I hope you enjoy the set!
Dizzy told me he was going to move out of town on April 30th, but I twisted his trunk to make him stay.
I realized I hadn’t checked for the latest DLC item, so I went up to the post office to see if there was anything new. I’m probably a few days late, but the Taurus bathtub is now available. Some regions received this last year, but it’s new for America.
It can be re-ordered from the catalog for 4,800 bells. And that’s no bull.
Daisy was still sick today, so once again I bought some medicine for her. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to go for a walk soon! When you’re feeling better, just give me a collar holler!
I finished up my evening with a trip out to the island, where I went on a shark-battle tour. Catching eight sharks in six minutes earned me 15 medals. Phineas, you can start showing up any day now please.

Daisy was still sick today, so I gave her some medicine once again. It made her sparkle and flip. Good dog.
I went to Club LOL to catch some live music. K.K. Slider performed K.K. Rock for me (and Tabby…ick).
Over at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Molly from Oaklane was my most recent dream visitor.
The giveaway for the egg furniture set (with a tweeter as a bonus) ended today. There were only a total of 21 entries, and the random number generator selected a winner: inowshipyou
I went to work at the Roost today, but Brewster told me he didn’t need any help. It wasn’t 11:00 yet, so I was a bit confused.
It all became clear when I went into the Emporium. The gardening section was closed off, with a note from Leif saying there was an event today. Oh, it must be Weeding Day! I forgot that was today! I was actually thinking it was tomorrow.
But Leif was not at the event plaza, so I was still a bit confused. After a bit of research, it seems that Leif will only be there until 7:00 p.m., and I played too late in the day to see him. That’s pretty disappointing. I know the GameCube version of Animal Crossing often had holidays where you had to find Tortimer by a certain time or forfeit your prize, but New Leaf is (generally) better about silly time limits on special events. Weeding Day is an exception to the rule, however.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that today’s most recent dream visitor was Ana from a town called “a r s r,” oddly enough. Yesterday’s dream visitor was Nogo from Questess.
