Tom Moves In

This morning, Joan was in town selling turnips. She was charging 103 bells apiece for them, and I bought my usual quantity of 3,100 turnips.

Joan: The asking price is 103 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?Later on in the afternoon, Dizzy asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Rolf, and Daisy.

Dizzy: We're all going to go hide somewhere in the neighborhood.I found Rolf hiding behind his own house, and Dizzy was behind Kabuki’s house.

Dizzy: Darn. I guess you found me. I never thought you'd look here, for a nut.I then found Daisy trying to hide behind the instrument shelter. Silly dog.

After the game, I headed to the new house in town. I went inside to officially welcome Tom to Forest. Me-YOWZA!

Tom: I hope you don't forget to come visit me often! Me-YOWZA!Daisy asked me to collect signatures for a petition called “Ban Bubble Gum on Beaches.” So I headed over to Merka’s town Bribs. While there, I caught up with my former villager Sprinkle.

Sprinkle: Thanks a bunch for coming over to visit me. It's always nice to see a friendly face! But Sprinkle wasn’t the only former Forest resident around; I also asked Drago to sign my petition.

Drago: Wow, long time no see! Don't I seem like a complete Bribs local now?It didn’t take me long to get all of the signatures I needed. In fact, Merka had a hard time believing I was done so quick.

Ban Bubble Gum on Benches signatures: Mac, Kidd, Nate, Sprinkle, Sly, Drago.Back in Forest, I returned the completed petition to Daisy. She thanked me by giving me a classic wall shelf.

Daisy: I've got something for you too, it's ruff. Here.Big Top asked me to make a delivery to Aurora, so I tracked down the penguin and gave her the package (which contained a robo-clock). Aurora thanked me and gave me her picture as my reward. She called her own picture “a good find.” As if she just happened to stumble on it somewhere. Right.

Aurora: It's Aurora's pic! This is a good find, so take good care of it!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Theo from Meowfort was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting!

By the way, I recently put up my first impressions of Splatoon, the new third-person shooter for Wii U. Give it a read if you like–it’s a fun game!

Pleasant Plot Placement

Today, I found Tom’s house plot near the campsite. This is approximately where Kidd used to live. This spot doesn’t interfere with my path, or even the flowers lining my path, so I’m pretty pleased about that. Tom will be moving in tomorrow.

Agent S: Right now it's looking like I'll go on the 4th of next month. Don't get me wrong, I love this place.I headed over to Merka’s town for a bit. I really liked her purple tulips; I don’t see those very often.

Merka's purple tulips and other flowers. On the way to the dock, I kept falling on my face. Ouch.

Me falling on my face.We tried going on a couple of tours, including the firefly tour. Unfortunately, we were two bugs short of a gold Tortimer award.

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Silver Tortimer award and 7 medals! We tried doing more tours, but we got disconnected…twice. So we gave up, for today at least. The tour selection wasn’t that good today anyway.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Regan from Squam was my most recent dream visitor. Yesterday’s visitor was Paul from Disney.

I wrapped up my night at Club LOL, where I checked out a performance from K.K. Slider. I asked for a sad song, and K.K. belted out K.K. Waltz.

K.K.: Here's a jam that makes the blues seem like old news... K.K. Waltz.

Camper Tom

There was a tent set up at the campsite today, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Tom inside.

Tom: Camping! You could also call it battling mosquitoes!Recently, one of my long-time residents from my GameCube town, Static, moved into my ACCF town. Tom is also a long-time resident of my GameCube town, and he is also one of my favorite villagers in the series. So of course, I invited him to move in. He’ll be a Forest resident soon!

Tom: Do you really think I should? Then I've decided to move to Forest right away!Back outside, I heard a flea jumping around as I walked past Cally. I got my net out and caught her flea. She asked me to keep it a secret. Yeah, right. Hey everybody! Cally has fleas!

Cally: Let's keep this flea thing our little secret!I made a couple of additions to the main room of my house. I added another small LED display, and I also put in a neutral floor to mimic the hardwood floor of a basketball court.

My basketball room. The loss of Sprinkle has opened up a spot for Nan to start appearing on Main Street.

Nan: Hi, Jeff! How are you? There's always something happening here on Forest's Main Street.By checking my town history on my town page, it seems that former villagers start appearing on Main Street once they’re the 9th most recent villager to move out. In other words, the last eight villagers to move out don’t show up on Main Street yet. In my case, that would be Frank, Dotty, Gala, Kidd, Amelia, Octavian, Drago, and Sprinkle. So when someone else moves out, then Frank will start appearing.

Daisy was still sick today, so I bought her some medicine again.

Giving Daisy some medicine.Gulliver was down on the beach, talking about a country that looks like a boot. Clearly he was headed for Italy. Ciao!

Gulliver: Whoa! Where'd my boots go?!Today’s most recent dream visitor was Katie from Drama. Thanks for visiting!
