Bunny Day 2015

This morning, I found Joan right outside my house. I trapped her near my rock while I went to get money out of the bank. She was selling turnips for 102 bells apiece, and I bought 3,000 of them from her.

Joan: Well now, my wee radish is back! The asking price is 102 bells today. You decide you want some, kiddo? After putting my turnips into storage, I headed over to the event plaza, where I found Zipper T. Bunny.

Zipper T. Bunny at the town tree.He started by asking me for all six types of eggs: Stone eggs, sky eggs, tree eggs, earth eggs, water eggs, and deep sea eggs. He told me to join in the fun because fun is super funny. Alrighty then…

Zipper: Come play outside with Zipper T. Bunny and have lots of fun because fun's super funny! Ha ha!I began my search for eggs and the winning tickets hidden within them.

Sweet! I got a winning ticket!Zipper must not have remembered me from last year, because he asked how I knew there were tickets inside the eggs.

Zipper: Huh? Wait--whaaat? How did you know there were winning tickets inside?! Did I tell you yet?I collected the eggs for Zipper and redeemed many prize tickets. He was getting tired of repeating the same things over and over, and I was tired of hearing those same things over and over.

Zipper: Lucky prize! Lucky prize! You heard this already! OK, now I'm done! But unlike last year, I was getting duplicate items before completing the full set. After asking around on Tumblr and ACC, it seems that it’s because I already got the whole set last year. If anyone can confirm or deny that was the reason, please leave a comment to clarify. I want my Bunny Day Guide to be as accurate as possible–the others I’ve seen have not said anything about this–so I will update mine if necessary.

My bad luck wasn’t limited to duplicate items, however. I was also falling on my face quite a bit today.

Falling on my face in front of T&T Emporium.Even though I have a complete egg set from last year still, I was hoping to obtain a second full set so that I could have a giveaway with two winners. But Zipper wasn’t cooperating. I was getting frustrated with him, so I tried to give him a fish.

Zipper: You know...this doesn't make me happy at all...
I’m not happy either. Stop giving me duplicates or I’ll superglue your zipper shut. You want to wear that suit all year round, punk?

Despite playing for over four hours, I never completed my set. I did get eight of Zipper’s pictures, though. Still, I’ll be holding a giveaway for the one egg furniture set in the near future.

In the meantime, here’s a picture of me shooting down a sky egg and a picture of me getting a face full of sand.

Cyrus Makes a Pizza

As I worked a shift at the Roost yesterday, Big Top was sitting down enjoying a coffee while my other elephant, Dizzy, came up to the counter. It’s not very often there are two elephants in here at the same time. I hope the cafe has a strong foundation! I also noticed that both elephants were wearing identical “Animal Crossing” shirts.

Two elephants walk into a coffee shop...When depositing money into my bank account, I noticed that my balance topped 38 million bells. Bit by bit, I’m inching towards that billionaire badge.

Your current balance is 38,010,000 bells.Tomorrow is Easter, which is known as Bunny Day in Animal Crossing. I put up a new Bunny Day Guide that may help you out as you collect eggs for Zipper. Even if you’ve already participated in Bunny Day last year, it may help to refresh your memory on how the festival works.

Part of my preparations for that guide included checking the selling prices of the egg items. (I still had the items in a museum exhibit from last year). The regular furniture sells for 8,000 bells apiece, but I had to laugh when I saw that Re-Tail only pays 10 bells for Zipper’s pic. Ha! That’s supposed to be the “grand-prize” item too!

Reese: Ooh, Zipper's pic! I can take that item off your hands for 10 bells, if that's OK?I briefly opened my gate so that a green Merka could come over to shop.

A lost item on the ground.Hmm, maybe someone was watching the blades spin around until they got dizzy and dropped their book. Yep, it was Dizzy’s, alright!

Dizzy: Oh wow, I never realized how bad my handwriting was. No wonder you couldn't read this chicken scratch. He gave me a blue-zap suit as a reward.

I headed up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town, and Luna told me that Lovebug from SnowPark was my most recent dream visitor.

I also went into Club LOL to check out a Saturday night performance of Surfin’ K.K.  Alli the alligator was also in there, talking about how K.K. Slider is so talented.

Alli: That K.K. Slider is such a talented dog! And every alligator I know agrees with me!That wrapped up my night in Forest, but I’ll be back with a Bunny Day entry tomorrow! Have a good Easter, everyone! And feel free to use my Bunny Day Guide!

Blanca’s Pic

As expected, Blanca sent me a letter in the mail, congratulating me for seeing through her disguises yesterday. I found Blanca’s pic attached to the letter.

To Jeff: Your observation skills are something else! I'm sending you this commemorative gift. -Blanca I went into my house to put the picture on the table. But as I was trying to read it, Kabuki barged in.

Kabuki: What's up?! It's me! You're in there, right? Bucko?!I looked at Blanca’s pic and saw that Blanca’s favorite quote is “Every face tells a story.” I think Kabuki’s face tells the story of a rude intrusion.

Favorite phrase on Blanca's pic: Every face tells a story.Once Kabuki left, I went up to the museum. I still had some extra villager pics in my pockets, and I was determined to put them in the trophy room. But that meant I had to get rid of some of my trophies. I guess that’s reasonable. After all, do I really need a dozen identical fish and bug trophies? I put several of them in my pockets to later sell at Re-Tail.

When I returned to town, Drago wanted to play some hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Molly, and Agent S.

Drago: Hey, cool guy. Wanna play hide-and-seek?Molly was the first one I found; she was hiding behind a tree near the video screen.

Molly: Oh no! You found me!I then found Drago hiding behind Sprinkle’s house and Agent S hiding behind Rolf’s house.

Drago: You won, cool guy! Since you're so good at hide-and-seek, I'll give you my dollhouse!I finished my night with a walk on the beach. I found Gulliver there; he’s headed to Denmark tomorrow, so he was excited about meeting a mermaid. Good luck with that.

Gulliver: Oh, lovely mermaid princess... I was on my way to your country to meet you at last!
