Cyrus Being Nice

This morning, Re-Tail was buying turnips for 186 bells. I wasn’t sure if the upward trend was going to continue or drop off, so I sold half of my turnips at that price. In the afternoon, I found out that the price had gone up even higher, to 343 bells! I quickly sold the remainder of my turnips.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 343 bells.Agent S asked me for some perfect fruit, so I gave her a perfect peach. She enjoyed it and rewarded me with some charcoal tile. I just had to take a picture when Agent S said that I found what she was hungry for in her tail.

Agent S: What? You found what I was looking for, in my tail? When I deposited some money into the bank (not just turnip money, but also some fish/bugs I sold), my balance reached 43 million bells.

Your current balance is 43,000,000 bells.I took my customized small LED display to Re-Tail to have Cyrus change the pattern on it. To my surprise, he not only offered to change it for free, but he did it immediately! No half hour wait required! I’ve never seen Cyrus act nice before!

Cyrus: I can do that with one hand tied behind my back while falling out of a plane in a rainstorm!Cyrus: I won't even bother charging for it! If you want, I can do it this instant.I’ve decided that the main room of my house is going to be Cavs/basketball themed. I put up a basketball hoop as well as a couple of ball catchers, but the room is nowhere near finished yet. I have some more items ordered for it, but here’s how it looks at the moment.

My Cavs/basketball themed room.Daisy was as sick as a dog today, so I bought some medicine for her. Hopefully she’ll get better soon. I don’t want to see her pushing daisies! Get well soon, dog.

Giving Daisy some medicine. At the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Andrew from Hometown was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Tokonoma (Nintendo Zone DLC)

Today, Big Top told me he was planning on moving out of town on May 30th. But I made him reconsider.

Big Top: Hmm... Then it's settled! The move is off, and I'm staying put!Saharah was in town, and I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpet. She put in a blue-trim wall and a cheese floor.

A blue-trim wall and cheese floor. There was a tent over at the campsite, and I found Pippy inside. I had no interest in inviting her to move in.

Pippy: I bet you weren't expecting to see super-stylish ME here! Actually, I wasn't expecting to be here either.I did a little diving this evening, and while on the private island, I ate a famous mushroom. I wish I could just climb up the cliff when I’m big like this.

Me growing large after eating a famous mushroom on the beach.I decided to finally put my ice furniture away, even though I didn’t fully decorate the room just yet.

My empty room.I laid out the ice furniture set (as well as the snowman set) for Booker to put into his storage. When I started up the game as Booker, Tortimer showed up!

Tortimer: It seems the new mayor is just as dependable as I was, so I bet it's still easy to live here!Once the former mayor finally got the point, he told me Booker was now able to go out to the island. Of course, I have no plans on taking him there, but it was good to see Tortimer again outside of the island tours.

When I started back up as Jeff, Pete was there to hand me this letter from Nintendo. From May 24th through June 6th, a tokonoma is available as a Nintendo Zone download. I got this letter two days late, apparently. Probably because I leave the wireless switch disabled much of the time.

From 5/24 to 6/6, the tokonoma is available via Nintendo Zone!I headed up to the post office, and Pelly gave me the tokonoma.

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new tokonoma! It can be ordered for 2,300 bells. This is  what it looks like:

Tokonoma - 2,300 bells. My long-overdue slideshow video is now online. It shows my best pictures from my 2nd year in the game (from May 2nd, 2014 to May 2nd, 2015): (view on Youtube)

Lazy Sunday

Yesterday, I got Sprinkle’s goodbye letter in the mail. She also included her picture.

Sprinkle's goodbye letter. This morning, Joan was selling turnips for 110 bells apiece. I bought 3,000 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 110 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?Kabuki asked me for a pear this afternoon, so I tracked one down for him. He rewarded me with an alpine panel.

Kabuki: I should thank you for granting my needy little request!I made my usual trip out to the island, but I wasn’t in the mood for doing much touring. I just went on one pros-only bug tour and earned 12 medals for catching 10 bugs.

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Gold Tortimer award and 12 medals! At the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Jessica from Sophie was my most recent dream visitor.
