Today I headed over to Merka’s town Bribs to sell some turnips. Kita was also there.
Merka’s Re-Tail was paying a whopping 514 bells for turnips! I sold my 3,500 turnips for a cool 1.8 million bells.
I also had a little chat with my old buddy Drago.
While Kita went up to Main Street for a haircut, Merka started throwing beans at me!
Kita returned with some cool purple hair; I let Merka and Kita catalog my headkerchief.
Merka then ended the session and I returned to Forest. I had enough money in my pockets to afford over 1,000 bags of fertilizer! (But I only bought the one, of course).
I put my money into my bank account, and my balance soared past the 45 million mark. I’m not far from 46 million now!
Tom wanted to catalog the headkerchief too, so I opened up my gate for him. Merka also dropped by for a visit.
We all went out to the island to go on a few tours. Tom selected a balloon-popping tour to get us started. We won the gold Tortimer award, but it only gave us six medals.
When we first got to the island, I said “no hammer tours.” The hammer tours seem rough on the circle pad (and my thumb), and since my replacement circle pad is twice glued on, I didn’t want to risk breaking it off again. But Tom apparently didn’t see that I asked for no hammer tours, and he chose it anyway. I told him I would sit it out, but maybe he didn’t believe me. So once it started, I just stood there. 😛 Eventually Merka joined me and we started hammering each other.
Tom and Merka hit the thing enough times to earn us some medals (but only two of them, plus the bonus).
We also went on a dangerous fishing tour, where we had to catch things like sharks and piranhas. We returned to the mainland and I ended the session.
Later on, I headed up to the Dream Suite to try to update my dream town. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working. But Luna told me that Storm from Stardust was my most recent dream visitor.
Outside, I was walking around with my net out, catching some fireflies. And I met up with my first tarantula of the year. Sadly, I lost this battle.

Later on, Pete met me outside my house to give me this letter from Nintendo. Now through July 4th, a headkerchief is available at Nintendo Zone locations. It was previously only available in Japanese versions of the game.
I also received a letter from Dad. Today is Father’s Day, so he sent me some red carnations. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
Another letter contained some 3D glasses from Merka. Now I can see the world in three dimensions! And red and blue…
And of course, today is the summer solstice: The day when the sun never sets! It stays sunny all night long! Molly said that an endless day means endless playing. Sounds good to me!
Isabelle was at the event plaza to inform everyone of the special event. She also handed out some ladder shades.
I put my ladder shades on, and then poked my head through the holes in the special face-cutout standee. I’m the sun, I’m the flower, I’m the sun, I’m the flower.
After finishing my walk around town, I headed up to Main Street. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Blossom from JamDown was my most recent dream visitor. And in the post office, Pelly gave me the headkerchief.
I tried it on, but it’s not really my style.
The good news is that it can be ordered from the catalog for just 480 bells.
When I returned to town, evening had arrived…but you couldn’t tell that from all of the ample sunshine. The fireflies gave it away, though. It’s always weird seeing fireflies and other night bugs in broad daylight like this.
Enjoy your long sunny night! I’ll see you all next time!
Dizzy approached me and told me he was moving out of town on June 24th! I was not ready for him to leave yet though, so I twisted his trunk and made him stay.
I grabbed a few bugs out of my dock box, and a goliath beetle earned me my highest score of the afternoon, 132 points. No animals surpassed that score, so I won the competition.
Merka was then free to collect signatures for her petition. I’m not sure what the petition was for, but I think it was a bit shady.
I ran into Kabuki on the street, and he was feeling much better now. He thanked me for the drugs I gave him, and he gave me a trunk measure as my reward. I’ll be sure to use it on Big Top and Dizzy.
Lauryn was resetting her town tonight, so I let her store some of her belongings in my town until she got a town that she liked.
She later returned as a very different looking character; I wasn’t even sure it was her at first! But I confirmed it was her, and she took her stuff home. Good luck with your new town, Lauryn!
