Sunday Night Fireworks

I did not compete in yesterday’s Bug-Off competition, but I saw on the bulletin board that Big Top was the big winner. Aurora got 2nd place and Boots finished in third.

Today, I made a sign for Sunday Night Forest. Well, it wasn’t from scratch. I took an old FNF (Friday Night Forest) design and just edited it. Even though I made a SNF pattern before, I apparently didn’t save that one.

My custom design sign for Sunday Night Fireworks, reading SNF 8-20-17.

At 8:00, I opened my gate as the fireworks festival was underway. I went over to speak to Isabelle at the event plaza, and she gave me a flower bopper.

Jeff wears a flower bopper and stands next to Isabelle in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.I decided to buy five of Crazy Redd’s cookies from his stand.

Redd: Every cookie has a prize ticket and only costs 500 bells! Would ya like to buy one? I bet ya would! So I gobbled down the cookies to find the tickets inside. Three of them were dud prizes (non-winners) and two were flash prizes. I redeemed the two winners for two lovely phones, while Redd gave me three sparklers for the duds.

When I spoke to Isabelle again, she gave me a fountain firework.

Isabelle: Take this fountain firework, and enjoy the fireworks show to its fullest!I walked around town to speak with some of my villagers. Vivian informed me that Agent S was planning on moving out of town!

Vivian: Did you know that Agent S is thinking about leaving town?So I went to have a little chat with the superhero squirrel, but she made no mention of moving. I’ll have to keep trying to change her mind in the coming days. But she did offer to buy my plesio neck for 4,500 bells.

Agent S: Oh, 4,500 bells? Yay! That's the perfect price. For reals, sell your plesio neck to me!By 8:50, I still had no visitors, so I decided to give up and close the gate.

My recent dream visitors have been Mayounna from Amy Rose and Connie from World. Thanks for stopping by.

Less Than or Equal To

Since last time, I looked at Booker’s house to see the new second floor (from the outside). This is what it currently looks like.

Booker's house, now with a second floor. The other night, Rolf noticed a cyclommatus stag in my pockets, and he offered to buy it for 9,600 bells. I quickly agreed to the deal, because that’s even better than its normal selling price of 8,000 bells.

Rolf: Lemme see... Whaddya say to... 9,600 bells?Tonight, Boots asked me for some new furniture. You may remember he recently disposed of his green nine lamp. So this time, I gave him a green eight lamp! Green + eight? It’s gr8!

Boots: What?! An eight lamp?!He really seemed to like it, and he gave me a modern wood shelf in return. Boots also told me that Bob was thinking about moving out of town. So I tracked down the purple cat and changed his mind for him.

Bob: It's settled. I'll stay put here in Forest. I guess we'll still be neighbors after all!Later on, I returned to visit Boots. He was actually sitting down in his house, which is something I don’t see a villager do very often. But he put his eight lamp in the same spot where he previously had the nine lamp. Eight may be less than nine, but it looks equally as good in his house.

Boots sits in his house, next to his eight lamp.

Maybe the eight lamp was good luck, because I caught an eight-legged creature right outside of Boots’ house–a tarantula!

I caught a tarantula! WHAAAA! Destroy it!

When I was almost done playing, I withdrew some money from the bank to give to Booker. He paid off the 298,000 bells for the second floor, and chose to make that upstairs room bigger. I need it to be 8×8 for what I have planned, so I’m not done expanding just yet.

Tom Nook: You want to widen the room on the second floor, hm?

My recent dream visitors have been Claire from Chepstow, Jess from Moonlake, Heather from Sunville, Maddie from L.A., Dan from Paloma, Bluebone from Lazurite, Wayland from Waypoint, Bella from Ordin, Kenzie from Kenton, and Niamh from Spagonia. Thanks for stopping by!

One other note: I will be opening my gate this Sunday (August 20th) for fireworks at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (which is 5 p.m. Pacific time, or 1 a.m. London time). Anyone already on my 3DS friend roster is welcome to come.

Boots’ Birthday

Late on Saturday night (technically Sunday morning), I found Vivian sitting on the town’s metal bench. She told me she thought it was so peaceful, staring up at the night sky.

Vivian, sitting on a bench: It's so peaceful, staring up into the sky.So I joined her on the bench and also looked up at the sky. And what did I see? A (nearly) full moon! Of course she likes the sky when there’s a full moon. She’s a wolf!

Sitting with Vivian on the bench, with a nearly full moon behind us.I played again late on Sunday night, and the first fireworks festival of the year was underway. I spoke to Isabelle over at the event plaza, and she gave me a star bopper.

Isabelle: When you wear that star bopper, you'll shine just as bright as the fireworks! But before I could turn around and speak with Crazy Redd at his stand, the clock struck twelve midnight and the fireworks show ended.

This concludes tonight's fireworks show.Vivian was disappointed that the fireworks ended, and she said she was still in the mood for loud noises. So she planned to go home and bang some pots together. 😛

Vivian: Aw, the fireworks are all done. And I'm still in the mood for loud noises...Vivian: Guess I'll go bang some pots together!Today (Monday) was Boots’ birthday! I made sure to attend his party, and I gave him a customized circle banner for his birthday gift. He seemed to enjoy it…even if you can’t tell from this screenshot.

Boots: What?! Did you really get me a circle banner?Agent S also attended his party, and she said Boots must be pretty happy since he gets to spend his birthday with the coolest people in town.

Agent S: Boots must be pretty happy. Not only is it his birthday, but the coolest people in town are here!Back outside, I ran into Vivian and she was making up stories about Camofrog! 😮

Vivian: Did you know that Camofrog is allergic to sarsaparilla? Ha! I just made that up!
I guess the full moon turns her into a liar.

Before wrapping up my night in Forest, I set out some money for Booker (my other character, not the dog). He used it to pay off his loan. Tom Nook will be adding a second floor to Booker’s house. I have something planned for it, but it has nothing to do with Booker (the dog) or the police station.

Tom Nook: The work will be fully completed by tomorrow morning. I'm so sure you must be very excited, yes, yes!

My recent dream visitors have been Hallie from Raine, Aricela from Dragolin, Ame from Lima, Kiera from Brooklyn, and David from Breinig. Thanks for stopping by!
