Elise Exits

It was a gloomy, rainy day in Forest today. Agent S was outside holding an umbrella…it’s too bad she doesn’t curl her tail up over her head to block the rain like a real squirrel.

Agent S: The rain is soaking me to the core. Really, it's got to stop sometime, right, skippy?Pashmina told me that Agent S looks like a frog! Really?

Pashmina: Agent S kinda looks like a frog, right? I mean, it's suspicious and weird! She wanted me to catch a frog for her, so that she could compare them. So I did, and she rewarded me with an optical shirt.

Pashmina: Ooh! Attakid! You're super fast! She never followed up to say if she still thought Agent S and the frog looked similar. Maybe she was too embarrassed to see how wrong she was.

There was a rare tent sighting at the campsite today. Punchy the cat was inside, but I did not invite him to move in.

Punchy: You're from this town, aren't you?Saharah was also in town, and I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpeting. She put in a bathhouse wall and a basement floor.

A bathhouse wall and a basement floor. And of course, the highlight of my day was the fact that Elise was all packed up and ready to move out of town! She called me a good friend, which is pretty laughable.

Elise: That's sweet of you. You've been such a good friend, which is why this is kind of sad...False. So long, monkey!

Elise: I've decided to move away from Forest. It's for the best. You'll stay in touch, right?
Nope.

May Friday Night Forest

It’s the 2nd Friday of the month, and that means one thing: Friday Night Forest! I opened my gate at 10 p.m.; Beth arrived first, and we were talking about Hippeux’s name. So when Beth asked what my town tune was from, I used some alternate spelling of my own.

Jeff: Ceauxldpleigh.

After a few minutes, Merka also arrived. We hung out and chatted for a bit, and then I suggested a trip to the island. On my way down to the dock, I spotted Merka on the ledge.

Jeff: DON'T JUMP!However, she went on BRB to eat lunch. In an attempt to save time, I tried pushing her down to the dock. It wasn’t going well; it was really hard work! I wish I could have just picked her up and carried her! 😛 And the worst part is, about ten minutes later, I realized I was pushing her the wrong way! 😮

Fortunately, she returned shortly after that, and we headed out to the island. We started with a gardening tour, and it ended up being a bit more challenging than we anticipated!

Tortimer: You filled the flower bed with 0 minutes and 5 seconds to spare! We also went on locust-catching and balloon-popping tours, earning silver on the former and gold on the latter.

We then went out onto the island for some fishing, bug-catching, and diving. I didn’t do any diving myself, but Merka did. And somehow, she glitched, so that she was standing in the water!

Merka standing in the water. To get free, she had to put her wet suit on, and then she dove into the ocean! It was like she jumped off of a dock! But that allowed her to swim back onto shore.

After we returned to the mainland and I sold a couple of my catches, we went glitching. We did the usual: We started at the tracks, ran over to the bridge, glitched off the bridge, and then glitched again into the void. I was the first to make it there, and Merka followed just behind.

Jeff: Yay! Merka: Yo.After Merka and I watered each other repeatedly, I started exploring under Forest. Merka accidentally unglitched herself, but then she re-glitched into void all before Beth could get there the first time! 😛 Beth eventually did get into the void, but she didn’t last long. She fell into a pitfall that I had planted for my visitors earlier in the night.

She was back on solid ground, and she asked where I was at. I found the nearest landmark and told her I was by the (wind) turbine. So she came over to see me. Well, actually she couldn’t see me, but I could see her.

Beth standing under the wind turbine.I was done exploring under the town, so I asked her to dig a hole for me to be born into.

Beth: Sandy Jeff baby.I dug a hole for Merka, so baby Merka was also born on the beach.

Jeff: Go to (the) hole. She didn’t look very happy when she came out.

Merka: Help.Merka had to go, so I went ahead and ended the session for the night. It was fun, though. Thanks for coming, Beth and Merka!

At the Dream Suite, Luna told me my most recent dream visitor was Mayounna from Amy Rose–thanks for visiting! Have a good weekend everyone, and I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow.

Time Capsule Fail

Yesterday, Pashmina asked me to bury a time capsule for her.

Pashmina: Will you bury a time capsule for me?

Pashmina: Heh... We'll just tuck it into your letter slot, OK? Bury it soon! And do NOT open it! Or you die!Since the capsule goes into a letter slot instead of my pockets, it’s easy to overlook it…and I did just that. I completely forgot about it until today. No problem, I thought: I’ll just bury it now. One problem though…I couldn’t.

The only options were Read and Quit.I knew not to read it (they hate that), so I left it alone. I figured I should track down Pashmina and see what she suggested (if anything). She was shocked to hear the news.

Pashmina: Hold up! You haven't buried my time capsule yet, have you?
Busted.

Fortunately, she didn’t kill me. But she did demand the time capsule back so that she could bury it herself. Oops.

Pashmina: Well, fine! I'll just bury it myself! Give it back, please.Gulliver was down on the beach, talking of visiting a tropical island where people dance the hula while they wear grass skirts. He’s off to Hawaii of course, and he’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: It's a resort! It's a tropical island! It's a... Well, if I could just remember, I wouldn't need your help right now.As I headed up to Re-Tail, Elise pinged me. She told me that she and Forest go together like cream soda and french toast. So she’s moving out of town on May 14th! That’s Saturday! Woohoooooo!

Elise: So I'm moving out of Forest on the 14th of this month. I hope you understand, Jeff.
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Friday Night Forest is tomorrow, so I’ll be back with another blog entry late tomorrow night.
