Hamster and a Camper

Last night, I found a new house plot in town. Hamlet the hamster is going to be moving in. Once again, I got pretty lucky with the house placement. It’s just a few spaces (diagonally) from where Peck lived. No paths were obstructed and no gold roses were destroyed.

This spot reserved for Hamlet's new home. -Nook's HomesThere was a tent at the campsite, so I went inside to check it out. Guess who was in there!

BOB!

Bob camping in a tent.If you’re not aware, Bob was my favorite villager in my ACCF town for many years, and I was very disappointed when he moved out in 2013. So naturally, I was thrilled to see him in the campsite, especially since my town was not full! I played a game of charades with him, and I won. That means he’ll be moving in soon! šŸ™‚

Bob: Well, a deal's a deal! Guess I'll be moving here soon! When I made my daily bank deposit at the post office, my balance topped 70 million bells.

Your current balance is 70,050,000 bells. And then today, I went in to meet Hamlet. He wondered how I got in his house, until he remembered he left the door unlocked. He may not be the brightest beast in town, but he is kind of a cute critter. Welcome to Forest, little guy.

Hamlet: Oh, duh. The door was unlocked.I didn’t see Bob’s house plot anywhere in town yet. I imagine it will probably show up tomorrow, and he’ll likely move in on Friday. So I’ll be back with another entry once he arrives.

My recent dream visitors have been A from Mori, Xavier from Quigley, and Gabe from Poketown. Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!

Heavy Sleeper Badge

I received Elise’s goodbye letter in the mail today. I’m glad her stay in Forest was such a short one.

Elise's goodbye letter.
Oh, I’m VERY excited. For you…and me.

I had another camper in town today, and at first I thought it was the same cat as yesterday! But it was actually Rudy today; yesterday’s camper was Punchy.

Rudy: Hey! Do you think it's OK if I campe here for a while?Agent S asked me to find a cherry for her, so I grabbed a perfect cherry that I had attached to a letter. She loved it, and she rewarded me with a queen. Wow, it’s not often that you find a squirrel who carries around a queen in her pockets.

Agent S: Thanks SO much! You can't imagine how happy that made me! Here. Have a queen! It’s always a good idea to talk to Copper (or Booker) more than once–especially if the first thing he mentions is a camper in town. I spoke to Copper a second time, and he told me that Phineas was also here! So I began my search for him, expecting that he would give me either a fishing badge or a bug-catching badge. But once I found him, he gave me something I wasn’t expecting: The Heavy Sleeper badge!

I got the Heavy Sleeper badge! This is like a really good dream!
I’m finally being rewarded for my one true talent.

It’s the silver badge for visiting 200 dream towns. I need to visit 300 more before I can earn the gold one. That will likely be one of the last badges I earn. I think only the gold weeding and StreetPass badges will take longer–and I’ll probably never get the StreetPass one. But anyway, here is a look at my current badges:

My badge collection as of May 15, 2016.
The gold fishing and bug-catching badges continue to elude me.

I found a lost item behind the Roost, but it didn’t belong to any of the first villagers I asked about it (Molly, Rolf, Agent S, Daisy, or Pashmina). As I approached Big Top, he pinged me. Turns out he wanted to buy the hula doll that I got from Gulliver recently. He gave me 450 bells for it.

Big Top: I've been kind of obsessed with getting a hula doll lately, cool guy.I spoke to him again, and he confirmed that the lost item was his. He gave me a ranch bed for returning it.

Since I knew today was a possible Phineas day, that gave me the motivation to go out to the island for some fishing and bug-catching. My trip earned me over 180,000 bells, but all those catches did not trigger another Phineas appearance. One of these days…

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Alyssa from Cat was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Elise Exits

It was a gloomy, rainy day in Forest today. Agent S was outside holding an umbrella…it’s too bad she doesn’t curl her tail up over her head to block the rain like a real squirrel.

Agent S: The rain is soaking me to the core. Really, it's got to stop sometime, right, skippy?Pashmina told me that Agent S looks like a frog! Really?

Pashmina: Agent S kinda looks like a frog, right? I mean, it's suspicious and weird! She wanted me to catch a frog for her, so that she could compare them. So I did, and she rewarded me with an optical shirt.

Pashmina: Ooh! Attakid! You're super fast! She never followed up to say if she still thought Agent S and the frog looked similar. Maybe she was too embarrassed to see how wrong she was.

There was a rare tent sighting at the campsite today. Punchy the cat was inside, but I did not invite him to move in.

Punchy: You're from this town, aren't you?Saharah was also in town, and I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpeting. She put in a bathhouse wall and a basement floor.

A bathhouse wall and a basement floor. And of course, the highlight of my day was the fact that Elise was all packed up and ready to move out of town! She called me a good friend, which is pretty laughable.

Elise: That's sweet of you. You've been such a good friend, which is why this is kind of sad...False. So long, monkey!

Elise: I've decided to move away from Forest. It's for the best. You'll stay in touch, right?
Nope.
