Forest’s 3rd Anniversary

It was raining in town last night, and I spotted two matching umbrellas when I came out of the Roost. They belonged to Pashmina and Elise.

Pashmina, why would you want to look like Elise??

When I put my extra pocket money into my bank account, my balance reached 69 million bells. Unlike most of the other badges I’m trying to earn, at least I can track my progress towards the gold bell saver badge: 31 million bells to go!

Your current balance is 69,000,000 bells.

Today, Agent S showed me a very incriminating letter she received from Elliott!

Dear Agent S, Please move in. -From ElliottWow! How rude! Sorry, Elliott, but you’re not getting Agent S! 😛

At the campsite, I found one of my least favorite animals: Rhonda! She wanted me to spend some time with her to keep her company. Uh, no thanks.

Rhonda: I enjoy company, so please come visit me anytime!
What kind of town do you think this is?!

Saharah was in town tonight, and I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting. She chose a lunar surface and a shoji screen for me. Even though I like the lunar surface, I already have one in storage.

A lunar surface and shoji screen. My most recent dream visitor was…Japanese. Sorry, I can’t translate. 😛

A Japanese player recently visited my dream town.

And today (May 2nd) is the third anniversary of Forest! I’ve officially been a mayor for three years now! Forest sure is a lot different now than it was when I first moved in three years ago. But at least Aurora is still the same! Unfortunately, the game doesn’t do anything special for your town’s anniversary.

If you’d like a trip down memory lane, here’s a video that shows me arriving in Forest for the first time.

I want to thank all of you who have been reading this blog, regardless if you’re new here or if you’ve been visiting since the beginning. I hope to keep the blog going for many more years to come!

I also plan on starting blogs for any future Animal Crossing games too–and even one for Wild World if/when Nintendo releases the Wii U Virtual Console version in America.

Thank you once again, and have a great day!

Peck’s Decision

Daisy asked me for a new catchphrase, so I told her to say “on a leash.” This has potential to make some funny sentences in the future.

Daisy: Sup dawg? It's nice to see so much of you today, on a leash.Elise asked me to make a delivery to Peck today. Apparently, Peck left something at Elise’s house and it was my job to return it. So I tracked down the bird brain and gave him the package from Elise. He said it really smelled like flowers.

Peck: Man, it really smells like flowers... I hope that smell goes away!
Flowers is clearly a code word for monkey butt.

Peck asked me to guess what was inside, and I guessed clothing. He opened it up, and I was right…so he gave it to me!

Peck: Ha ha! You won a blue-grid shirt! The very thing that was just given to me! I don’t want that stinky thing! And besides, why was Peck taking his shirt off at Elise’s house anyway? On second thought, I don’t want to know the answer to that. Between that thought and the smell of the shirt, I was starting to feel sick.

After making my rounds, I went out to the island. I caught 126,000 bells worth of bugs and fish.

When I got back, Peck pinged me. “Ugh,” I thought. “What does he want now?” But it wasn’t a bad thing this time; in fact, it was quite good. He has decided to move out of town on May 3rd! Yes! Please go!

Peck: I need to break into the big time, and I'm thinking I should start by moving to another town.

Missed It Again

I knew Weeding Day was coming up, so I’ve been leaving some weeds around town for the past few days. However, I was thinking Weeding Day was Saturday (tomorrow). But as I played this evening, I quickly found that Weeding Day was actually today!

Sign: The gardening center is closed today due to an event! -Leif

The problem is that I started playing around 7:30 p.m., and Leif will only be at the event plaza until 7:00! Doh! This is the exact same thing I did last year! I can’t believe I missed it yet again!

Note: I did participate in 2014, but that time, I just unlocked the topiary PWPs. I still have not obtained the flower furniture that Leif gives out for pulling weeds. Oh well, maybe next year.

While walking around town, my brain fart continued when I went up to a Jacob’s ladder and (without thinking) dug it up with my shovel. It’s just one of those days, I guess.

In Forest’s central park, Molly was talking about the illuminated tree. She said she looks forward to seeing its gentle glow every night. Aww, how cute.

Molly: It lights up Forest with such a gentle glow. I look forward to seeing it every night.I haven’t been going out to the island this week, but I made sure to go tonight. I filled up my box with bugs and fish, and I sold them for about 135,000 bells after returning to shore.

I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow, so I’ll see you then. Have a good weekend! 🙂
